Hi Satchland!
moe, "Although I'm very interested in the new G3 that is coming out. I sometimes wonder the wisdom of what songs are chosen by Joe.....For example, why play up in flames? I think there are better songs on that album..... Though choosing Searching is very gutsy, and I applaud going after the harder songs. It also when it comes Grammy time. I am really surprised by the songs that are chosen to represent Joe, I'm not sure if they are chosen, or he chooses them... but it's wierd. Other thoughts: If petrucci was still using an Ibanez... that would be an amazing marketing campaign wouldn't it? If you haven't heard his new solo album, do go and buy it. It's quite amazing. I wasn’t too crazy about Steve's new album except for 2 or 3 songs..."
Interesting thoughts...I guess Joe has a good control of the song selection for his albums specially because they are all so great ;-)...I remember Joe's comment to "Searching" at the "Is There Love in Space" Listening Party (still online by the way). He said something like he was not sure if the record company let him put a ten minute track in a record like this but they loved it!
And sorry to disagree but I think "Up in Flames" is a great song specially played live! With "Is There Love in Space" I
really enjoy more the live versions of the songs than the studio versions more than ever.
About who chooses songs to be submitted to the Grammys...Academy's members and record companies submit songs, not the artist, so Joe has not control at this point.
The new of Petrucci is fantastic...my favorite is "Tunnel Vision". And what are your favorites of Steve Vai's Real Illusions? By the way...welcome to Talk To Joe!
962, "gotta have joe, just to add a little to what Lucy said, "muchos" would be masculine and "muchas" would be feminine, so to Lucy you could say "muchas gracias mis amiga", while to a guy (like me :-p) you could say "muchos gracias mis amigo". I might be mistaken in putting the "s" on the end of "mis", but I believe it's always on there, it's just silent!"
Yeah, you are right. When using nouns in Spanish, you must make sure that you use the correct gender and number when using articles, adjectives...but in the case of the expression "muchas gracias", it's a generic expression, unisex hehe and it's the same form for guys and girls so you can use "muchas gracias" for everybody!
So the correct forms would be: "muchas gracias amiga mía" (for a girl) and "muchas gracias amigo mío" (for a guy) ;-)
Did you see F1 this Sunday? The Alonsomanía continues ;-)
cheese101, hi back Tracie! :-) I got to download the Joe's Seattle 2000 gig, a shame that it's cut but it's OK, mmmmm that "Devil's Slide" is so awesome!!! Thanks again for the link :-)
DelfinoPie, "I've put Robert Fripp's "A Blessing Of Tears" album on my christmas list along with Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works" albums"
Cool, by the way, do you know by any chance which album of Robert Fripp includes the "soundscapes" he performed at G3 2004? I really want to buy some of Robert Fripp's stuff but I would love to begin with the album that includes those pieces, any idea?
gotta have joe, ¡hola Kayla! es un placer enseñarte un poquito más de español :-)
marimariSRV, nice to hear you arrived safe and happy!! Have fun :-)
bahduh, hi, I got your mails, I'll reply asap, I hope you get better :-)

Steven Wilde, hi Steven, glad to see you posting but a bit sad to hear about what you are going through...
Steven, I second what Simon said, try to post more often...you are loved and respected here and that could give you strength in your real life. That's the magic of Internet when you use it wisely. The love and respect of a community can make wonders for you, is a tremendous force for healing. Never give up on your dreams, keep up writing wonderful music and playing your guitar! You have mail my friend.
I want to dedicate you this quote of the day: "Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried
before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."
George Washington (1732 - 1799)

Wow another night of low sleep hours. Got up at 2:30 with equations bouncing around my head again. So, I got up and finished my Fluids Lab report. Only 10 pages, but it looks great. I think the lack of sleep was punishment for being a lazy ass this morning, staying in bed till 9:30 and not starting on homework until 11:00. Oh well, one way or another you gotta get shit done. Guess I'll get started on rewriting my Transportation homework. Have a great day all.

16 pages behind...
AL, you're more of a Moon Baby than a Blue Moon. Did you have a chance to see the moon last night? It was wicked cool!! Check out the lyrics -
http://www.lyricstime.com/godsmack-moon-baby-lyrics.html
Keniko, glad they got some good prints from the crooks. Hopefully they'll catch them and be able to nail them for everything they did.
TomSr, Tastey is doing well as far as I know. Give her a holler and maybe she'll show up.
mari, hope you're feeling better and your world tour is going great. Don't forget to rest and take care of yourself.
Lucy, yes I had a good nap, and I really needed it! lol! It rained here for 8 days straight. The rain we had on the 7th and 8th dropped almost 11 inches of rain! I finally mowed the lawn yesterday. I know we needed rain badly, but that was just sick. lol! The ground is still wet, but at least the sun is out.
6 pages to go - later peeps!

You do not know me but I truly hope you get your life sorted and live peacefully and happily.
From what I see on these pages, there are a lot of people who like and respect you. I think it is time for you to respect yourself. You and only you are responsible for what you put into your body.
So, forgive yourself for what you have done, make your peace with your God, respect yourself for the wonderful human being you are, move your mind clear of the negative influences and have a good life. Please.
Good luck and keep rocking.
Steve.

Mike - I'll know more about that on Wed. The last hw was tough. I started to get it eventually (1:00AM) but it got it. We're doing Work now, not too bad but I haven't started the hw yet. Fluids looks real easy but I'm not getting the right answers. I think the problem is I'm not doing the statics part right. I'm going to meet with the TA tomorrow (today). That should help a lot. I really think it's the statics. I wish I had time to play my guitar. I played like crap at rehearsal Sat. Everyone could tell I hadn't been practicing. Just have more important things on my plate. Enough whining. At least it's not raining too much. Woo Hoo!!

First I'd like to say that Sherrie Lea (the singer I play for) has been nominated for a Juno for the single "No Ordinary Love"!! & that we are doing 2 shows in Toronto at the end of this month. Oct 22 @ Stones Place, & Oct 27 @ the NOW Lounge. Hope to see some Toronto T2J'ers out there :o)

Good Morning Satchland....... How R U Guys ?.......
Chicago White Sox...... YA Baby......
Steven Wilde...... I was so happy to see you post. I acually heard myself gasp when I saw your name. Then I read your post and gasped again. Sorry to hear things are a bit rough for you still. We're hopin' and prayin' things will turn around for you. Man it's good to see you. Keep the faith. Be strong.
Mari..... I'm glad to see you arrived safe in the UK. I wish your departure was a little less stressful. Bastards ! ! ! Anyway, take care my friend. Have a blast. Say hi to Mr. Vai and Co. for us.
Bonamassa was on fire fri. night. When we pulled in Joe was standing by his bus. I rolled down the window and shook his hand. He remembered my name from given him my bands DVD in July and oploigized for not watching but promised he would. The band was spot on and they were mixed perfectly. As you remember last time I saw Joe he wasn't to friendly 'cause he had technical problems all night. But Fri. night he was a man posessed. Unbelievable show. I talk to the band after the show and told them they throw one hell of a anniversary party. They couldn't believe we came to see them play on our anniversary. It was a great time. If you like Blues or Blues/Rock you have to check Joe out. He's a great guitarist. http://www.jbonamassa.com or http://www.bonamassabluesrock.com you'll find my bands link at this site under Street Team Musicians.
Whew ! ! ! What a weekend. Celebrated our 26 th wedding Anniversary Fri. with Joe Bonamassa, Sox win ALCS, Bears win. My original bassist is back in the band. My son Aaron started his carrer job today. I DON'T EVER WANT TO COME DOWN FROM THIS CLOUD.
Thanks to all the well wishes for our anniversary. You guys are great. We love ya. Take care.
Cuth..... I'm glad your son is only 6 and he's nowhere near serving the military. My mistake. But a good one. Take care.
Joe..... We need Blue. We need Blue.....Take care. Hugs to all.
Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

hey Joe
I'm in kind of a spot of trouble.
I live in Winters, I've been playing guitar for 2 years now, and I can't seem to find anyone to teach me any noew cool tricks. Basically I'm asking for guitar technique advice.
I'm 15 years old now, and I remembered hearing "Summer song" back in 97, hearing nothing of you for like 5-7 years, then coming across your "The extremist" album. I instantly recognized most of the tunes, and could hum along with the basic tune of each song...but I could've sworn I'd never heard the song before. Weird huh?
I've been trying to learn "Summer Song" and "War" Not an easy endeavor, but a bit easier than learning the Lynyrd Skynyrd "Freebird" solo on a 2 month deadline...had a show. I'm sure you know all about that lol.
I know you probabally get a lot of people wanting to see you, but I've got family in SF, perhaps we could jam a bit while I'm in town someday?

Cuth...... I'm glad some rays of sunlight beamed down on you and your family. Sounds like you made out with the PC's. Also glad your wife is working again. Steady income has a way of keeping the stress levels down.
BTW...Happy 1500. As you can see I'm way behind.
That reminds me.......
michelle....Did I lose my newbie status from T2J yet? What did you think of my junk sketch? LOL......( I indulged a tiny bit)

Hi Joe,
Just recently I bought the San Fran DVD and have to comment that it is great to finally watch your techniques on screen rather than listen to cd's and try to decipher the strange squiggles in books. It gave me renewed inspiration and also as a result it encouraged me to bring my satch CD collection bang up to date.
It also started me thinking about a new chop machine for myself to compliment my renewed enthusiasm so I started looking around. Having seen the 'controlled' abuse they take and without ovelooking the obvious tone aspects I surfed straight to the ibanez website and immediately decided on a JS series. After very little deliberation I ordered one and am now the extremely happy owner of a sexy black JS100.
And here was me a devout Fender bender for many years. Sorry Fender, my new ibby makes your guitars feel like rough sawn logs.
Thanks Joe, it's everything you and ibanez designed it for, sounds amazing, plays like a dream and fits like a glove - albeit a strange kinda glove!!!

Keniko, that was some fine looking junk you had there! lmao!! Hope you got to throw it around a bit over the weekend ;-) As for being a newbie - nah! You are a newerbie, but not a newbie no mo. lol!
Time to go watch my Anthrax DVD and chase some dust bunnies. Maybe if I turn it up loud enough and open the door, they'll just blow out like on that speaker commercial...
lol!
