Captain Steve, oooh.....Mari is a pro photographer, you should see her stunning work, she's taken some fantastic photos of Joe, Steve and others. I'm eagerly waiting to see what she managed to get at the London show just over a week ago, I'm hoping there's some good shots of Billy!
Cliff, do you have a weblink for the place you got your BB King tickets? I must see him, it's going to be the last chance!
gotta have joe, Tower Of Power are a soul band, I think from Boston, or maybe the east bay area, I can't remember.....I know, Boston and East Bay area are completely opposite sides of the country, but I can't remember where the band are from. They started out in the mid 70's and are still playing. If you like soul (and if you like James Brown especially) then Tower Of Power need to be heard!
Delfino, haha, are you having to attend this investigation meeting 'cause of looking like a mole, or is it just a divine coinsidence? Either way, just tell 'em "I dunno, but he sold the general purpose machine gun that he used to keep by the end of his bed".

clarky i love to monitor on cans... however bought me some PA speakers for my desk... very nice sound, and a 6 watt amp (lol) for $30 that audiophiles have replaced their three grand amps with... seriously! ... it's good but the low output makes the bass end a tad lacking... i'm after a standard hifi amp to replace it, then i can use the 6 watter for a guitar amp with a pair of normal hifi speakers... everything i play through has modelling these days so hifi gear works just fine ;-) good news on the album... send one over here when you're done!
Supaa i really need to listen to more Floyd... never got into them (shame on me)...
svk pink! cool! or hot! try mismatching! it's fun! ;-)
chinese proverb thingy man who masturbate over cash register come into money...
later peeps.... it's 2328 here and i only recently got in from work.... hope you're all well.... Joe where are ya?!?! planning some GREAT news for us all?????

Rob310, Andy's music is all kinds of sounds - he's too varied to put him in a nutshell. He covers loads of cool areas - neoclassical, a bit of bluegrass, some SRV-esque blues rock, Beatles-inspired vocals (and he's got a cracking voice), and then he's got his own style which mixes all sorts together.
The result is the coolest selection of tones, and the coolest selection of sounds, all played with the most amazing note selection and technique. He's quite capable of playing something very legato, only to follow it up with some hardcore shred picking.
If you go here - http://www.csulb.edu/%7Ealewis4/stuff/stuff.html - you can download a video of Andy and Joe jamming on House Full Of Bullets. It's well worth the download, even if you've got dial-up like me and it takes you an hour!
I also recommend checking out Andy's website and downloading some tracks from the "tunes" section, which is where this link points to!
The video is a must though, it will clearly show that Andy is a fantastic candidate for G3 - he gels so brilliantly on stage with Joe, and just gives off such a cool vibe when he's playing.

Morning all!
Just bought and listening my first time the new Deep Purple album "rapture of the deep". I got some special edition with an extra tune "MTV" + enhanced part with some studio and live footage...and some interview. It's wrapped in a box similar to what they pack (small)cigars in!?!
...man, they're still so tight! ...well, at least musically; remember their average age is above 50.
They were talking about their music in that interview part; they said there's no point in making songs lasting only 3+ minutes...you'd have to finish it just when it's got started...it's a format which artists are forced to do by radio...their songs are not being played in radio anyway, so they'll keep on doing their stuff in their own way...they are an underground band!
I totally agree. Radiostations should service the listeners and the bands... but unfortunately this world is already fucked up for good I'm afraid...
SOTD: "Money Talks" by Deep Purple
Edit: I like this album very much already (I'm on song number 7 now) !!!
