962 and Steve t - T.O.P. is definately where it is at. I can recognize that horn section anywhere. If you want more info on them you can go here,
T.O.P. website
Just got the DVD yesterday. VERY COOL!! I liked all the sets. John was predictably reserved. Now I know how it looks when I play. I am not very animated. Steve and the guys looked like they were having a blast. And Joe was Joe. I'm studing for thermo dynamics today so I think I will hear the DVD a few more times before the day is through.

Cube-He is still using those pickups. He usually only uses the D-whatever pickup on alternate tuned guitars
(Ie DGCFAD, etc).
Just got the G3 DVD.Disappointed, but still pretty cool.Damage Control, and Building the church were highlights for me.
Sick of blues songs for the jams.
That was the whitest version of Foxey lady I done ever heard. :D

Master Yoda and civgeek, yeah T.O.P really get me groovin, nobody in their right mind could listen to T.O.P's stuff and be in a pissy mood afterwards!
Stevee T, cool, I'd like to hear "Heart Of The Sun".....I still don't get why people were asking me about it though?! haha :-p
aussieRGman, yeah there's a few great people who could really use the exposure that G3 would bring.
Delfino, I dunno, I thought your pairing sounded pretty good. I was looking through the DiMarzio site archives earlier and comparing different humbuckers, and checked out the 7-stringers that you suggested putting in your RG.....they sound like a good pair to me.
When I get my S470 I'm likely to put a PAF Joe in the neck and a Norton in the bridge. Haven't decided on the middle though, I might (god forbid) have to use a real single coil in there! hehe.
Stevee T, Harvest Ice sounds real nice man. Do you use a processor/multi-effects for your tones? It kinda sounds like it, yet you can still clearly hear the guitar's character.
That is exactly what I remember about trying a JS10th in a shop in London....I was playing it through a Marshall VST. I tried a few other things before it and they sounded lifeless but the JS just forced it's tone out, like it wasn't going to give the amp a choice! haha. Love it, wish I could afford one, but that'd just be silly. I'll wait until my credit limit gets raised :-D
Just waiting for the rest of Harvest Ice to stream while I check on your site.....I think I'll be asking you about getting my hands on one of your CD's pretty soon!

Hey, Simon! Sorry for the delay in getting back.
Theres a link to the site for Gary Moore/BB KIng tickets on Gary Moores website - Gary-Moore.com or go direct to ticketline.co.uk as thats where I got mine.
I've managed to get tickets for the Sheffield gig and they're right at the front. It should be a great night.
I'm definately going to have to talk my band into doing The Thrill Has Gone again....

Hi Joe, I've just recently purchased the JSX head and XXX slant cab. I'm very pleased with the rig. My question to you is that I've used a Digitech 2120 (tube driven)(40watt) effect rack-mount on all my other previous rigs and all the effects from the 2120 sound great. If I use it as a preamp on the clean channel on the JSX head the sounds are ok but crunch and ultra tend to have way too much reverb, delay echo, etc... Since the 2120 is tube driven (4L's) also could this be my problem? I've tried using the loop effects from the head but same problem. The one thing I haven't tried is line-out to 2120 preamp effects and use the left and right channels to the cab set to stereo. What would be the best configuration I can use for when I'm playing live with the JSX head/Digi 2120? Too, do you have a site that shows settings for various settings on the knobs of the JSX to achive the sounds you get on your songs? I've followed your styles since the beginning and enjoy your pizzaz of playing style and you get the pefect sounds to characterize the songs theme. Thanks, -Steve

Hello Satchland!! I'm home.......missed my bed and my car.....my family too of course! lol It was a long Journey home....There was a fire alarm at Heathrow just as my flight was due to board, turns out it was a child that accidentally pulled it. There were techincal difficulties with the door so my flight was delayed over 2 &1/2 hrs... they put us on another plane. I'm just grateful to still be walking on this earth... Thank you God! I want to thank Suzie2000 & her cool hubby Matt for their wonderful hospitality in the UK and Marie-Noelle (Maire) & Huib ( Sam, Celeste & Scotty) for their wonderful hospitality and fantastic tour-guide/friendship while I was in Holland... It was a most excellent adventure indeed!........ I am eternally grateful. I bow to you all.....
962: Why thank you Simon!! I'll be downloading the rest of my photos later........I also took at least 12 rolls of 36 of Vai/ Eric Sardinas.....can't wait to see em!! I just got home late last night. Thanks for the Andy Timmons link...I'll check it out later.
Noppa: Why Thank you so much for your wonderful words my friend!! Also the info on Deep Purple new release.......I'll have to get it, I like them so much more since SM is with them.
I'm sure you feel the same way.......;-) He's a breath of fresh air for the band.
Lucy Sorents: Have a great time @ Andy Timmons! He will probably be signing CD's or selling them signed at his show....tell him to tour the states!! LOL! Maybe we could exchange Photos/ Bootleg Joe DVD's?? If possible......I have a friend that can put VHS Tapes on DVD no problem if you want that done. I have Joe's KFOG Private concert from EOC Tour on DVD...Very Nice show......So Nice to be home.
SOTD: Home Tonight.......Aerosmith...... Oldie but a goodie!
Mari
Zenfish: SRV couldn't read music either......Don't mean shit!!! So many greats played with ear & heart!! Please tell the SRV Ghost the next time you talk that I miss him so damn much!!! I haven't dreamt about him in a while......nor Jimi for that matter. Those are the best dreams ever.............

i'm pretty dissapointed right now, i was flippin through channels and came across crossroads, and i thought it would be the brittany spears crap, and then i noticed it was CMT so i info'ed it and it was the Steve Vai/Ralph Macchio good crossroads. and of course i only saw the last ten minutes where steve gets beat so unrealistically, i know he coulda played that last line without even thinking..... they should've made it more like a Batio thing sped times 5. that would be only a little impossible.

Hey Joe, been awhile since I posted been busy working on some small shows in my town. Still waiting for you to return to Montreal. Missed the G3 here last year, hopefully this time around. Did get a chance to see Steve Vai this summer though, but would have been even more spectacular if you would have been here with him. Hopefully with the completion of the next CD and the supporting tour, maybe you can squeeze us cray canuck fans in.

Hey there, I've been watching the 49er game today (49ers vs. Buccaneers) and its been pretty cool hearing your tunes between the game and the commercials. just wondering if you are played throughout the league of if its just at 49ers games.
FYI, I just bought the G3 Live in Tokyo DVD. Sounds awesome! another notes...i saw you play a while back in Reno (i think it was the Hard Rock Cafe) unfortunately i was in the nose-bleed seats but still sounded great.

Hey dude,
by the way i never thatnked you for coming down to Sydney. It rocked man!!!!! Best night of my life. I hope you continue touring down here in the upcoming albums, cos trust me the fan base is big enough. The point of this message though, i was just wondering why this didnt go ahead: "as usual, in the coming weeks we'll have some special contests and audio and video previews for you to check out :}". I'm getting this DVD on wednesday so i guess it doesnt really matter any more, but i would still be interested in autographed copies etc..........
Anyways, im am extremly psyched about the upcoming release. Keep up the work dude!!!!!!!
Chris.
