Now that I am pushing fifty, after years of abusing my body, i decided to try to get fit. I went to see the doctor who told me to start easy, doing something two or three times a week that makes me short of breath.

I took up smoking again!

What do guys think about this ?

Denver Voters OK Marijuana Possession By JON SARCHE, Associated Press Writer 3 hours ago

DENVER - Residents of the Mile High City have voted to legalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana for adults. Authorities, though, said state possession laws will be applied instead.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting early Wednesday, 54 percent, or 56,001 voters, cast ballots for the ordinance, while 46 percent, or 48,632 voters, voted against it.

Under the measure, residents over 21 years old could possess up to an ounce of marijuana.

"We educated voters about the facts that marijuana is less harmful to the user and society than alcohol," said Mason Tvert, campaign organizer for SAFER, or Safer Alternatives For Enjoyable Recreation. "To prohibit adults from making the rational, safer choice to use marijuana is bad public policy."

Bruce Mirken of the Washington, D.C.-based Marijuana Policy Project said he hoped the approval will launch a national trend toward legalizing a drug whose enforcement he said causes more problems than it cures.

Seattle, Oakland, Calif., and a few college towns already have laws making possession the lowest law enforcement priority.

The Denver proposal seemed to draw at least as much attention for supporters' campaign tactics as it did for the question of legalizing the drug.

Tvert argued that legalizing marijuana would reduce consumption of alcohol, which he said leads to higher rates of car accidents, domestic and street violence and crime.

The group criticized Mayor John Hickenlooper for opposing the proposal, noting his ownership of a popular brewpub. It also said recent violent crimes _ including the shootings of four people last weekend _ as a reason to legalize marijuana to steer people away from alcohol use.

Those tactics angered local officials and some voters. Opponents also said it made no sense to prevent prosecution by Denver authorities while marijuana charges are most often filed under state and federal law.

The measure would not affect the medical marijuana law voters approved in 2000. In June, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that medical marijuana laws in Colorado and nine other states would not protect licensed users from federal prosecution.

Also Tuesday, voters in the ski resort town of Telluride rejected a proposal to make possession of an ounce or less of marijuana by people 18 or older the town's lowest law enforcement priority. The measure was rejected on a vote of 308-332

Now where did I leave those brownies? Oh Shit....I ate them.

Joe was here! Nice to hear from the man himself... also it'll be exciting to hear what kind of stuff there'll be on the new album; something with mr. Simon Phillips, too! (I highly respect him as a drummer!)... GO JOE!

Good news for me: They've started to arrange some quality rock conserts here in my hometown (not that I couldn't make it to any place in this country even if they're arranged in the middle of the week, but it's just a bit easier). On the 9th of December there will be "Christmas Is Heavy"-happening = Dio & Uriah Heep & Asia............... and my friend just arranged tickets for us for the 31st of January upcoming Deep Purple-gig!!! Always nice to see those gentlemen at work!

...no bad...no bad at all...

Zen, here's what I found repeatedly when I googled "How to get rid of a ghost"

"The first and easiest thing to try is to tell the ghost to leave. The physical world is your domain and you have the power and control over it. The ghost is part of the spiritual domain and does not have power in this world. Be firm, and simply tell the ghost it must leave your area, that it doesn't belong here any longer. If this fails, the next option is to have someone who is psychic come in and communicate with the ghost and have her/him try to get rid of the ghost for you.

If the ghost is someone you knew that recently crossed over you may not be able to get rid of them that easily because they may be attempting to communicate with you about something. If it is a ghost that once lived in the house, and has no relationship to you, you may be lucky enough to rid yourself of the ghost by explaining to it that it has died and no longer has a physical body and needs to move on to the spiritual realm. Do not yell, do not sound angry, simply be firm in your statements to the ghost."

So, in essence, tell the ghost that it is dead, and you would like very much for it to move on, cross over, and leave your home.

Good luck :)

Cuth...... I think the rest of the country should be careful with related laws. My position is it's fine to legalize it. But I think it should be restricted to the home and one can not be arrested if you're in possesion of it.(oz. or less) I can imagine the kaotic mess it would bring to local taverns where now you have patrons stoned and drunk and people driving around stoned and drunk. I think it's hard enough to control the alcohol even with the restrictions and laws. Our society is not ready and will never be ready for public use of pot smoking. Americans will abuse it. Just my opinion. The good news....If it's govenment controled we'll erase the deficet in a couple years with the Trillions of dollars it would bring in. LOL.....I think that's the number one reason alcohol is legal for the tax revenue. It definetly has something to do with it. It's all about the money.

Now where are those Doritos?...LOL.....

SteveT - no.. I'm going the Cleveland to master the album.. when? I'm still not sure....

I have to complete the final mixes - almost done now - and then make the arrangements [save the money]

M - you'll always be Maire to me.....

not being able to spell Maria is so sweet... lol..

Mask?? closet???? all sounds pervy to me...

do go on...

Mari - aaahhhhh I get it....

he thinks that hurling abuse at you will charm your nix off...

never tried that one myself....
maybe I need to do some experiments to see if it works... lol..

Blue Moon - hahaaaa.... please explain why I can't understand this.....
I don't understand why you think I can't understand...

I know Mari well.... better than most in T2J I should imagine..
like face to face sort of know....

she's very kind, sweet, hugely kind hearted
great sense of humour, generous and lots of fun to be with....
she was great with all us T2J guys in the pub before the Vai gig...
she's a blast...
also I think she's quite pretty and she has great tits....

so I simply don't see how someone can be hostile to girlie like this..

seriously though bro.....
I really don't get your attacks on her..
she's a lovely person.. she really is..

TOALL: I posted a recording of a live cove of House Full of Bullets on www.myspace.com/stringtheorymusic it's from a recent live show we did, just forgive the recording, because we had to set up the mics and just leave the levals where they were, going straight into a cd recorder mixed down, so it is what it is. I hope you like the version, it's a little different, and other than the main riff, I didn't make an effort to learn joe's lines, so it's just the band jamming.
