Nah, not naked...just pole-dancing to cheesy 80's songs fully dressed with everyone looking at me and my mates as if theyve never seen a drunk person in their life.

My arms still ache from it lmao...

Possibly getting my Rg7321 for xmas, or if i can find a decent priced one, an RG7620.

How To Find The Lowest Gasoline Prices

http://gasbuddy.com - With gas prices the way they are, we need all the help we can get. This site runs 170+ local websites across the U.S. and Canada that help consumers find area gas stations that are selling fuel at lower prices. A network of local volunteer gas price spotters submits updates for their specific area. The site also includes a link comparing our state's tax rate on gasoline compared to other states. It's interesting information.

Hi Joe Did the idea for G3 come from the Seville 92 gig? (I have to pick my jaw up from the floor every time I watch it - awesome!) any chance of more pictures of gigs/you/yourguitars/your fans whatever, that would be cool to have on the website!

Does anyone know if you can get an official copy of Seville 92 - my copy from the TV is getting seriously worn out and goes fuzzy in places now - I'd really love a new copy?

Secret Prayer.

Look my way cos I got to talk to you people, set the record straight! My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out - all I ever think about is flying in a blue dream on a new day, into the light, the lights of heaven that are on stage with Joe - It would be one big rush to see Rubina and Brother John - I would ride, driving at night, down, down, down to Shalla-Bal to make the phone call at midnight from home as the clouds race across the sky, with champagne in my hand and sittin round, to tell you all of the time that I saw Joe Satriani .......Ah, got to hold on to my dreams cos its a love (of guitars) thing- You're my world.

Until we say good-bye.

Love and hugs Satriella xx

Zenfish ,

I think , for me , being my age (35 ) and probably one of the oldest in the music team at my church, when the young kids, I mean , 17- 25ish ask me to play lead for them in ther youth nites or just a jam , it kinda makes me feel cool, u know,? these kids are amazing in the way they play and when they ask me if i can jam with them its like ok no worries mate, cause we learn from each other, I think too , I know for me, my dream has always been to be like joe, to play like him, travel the world and play to 50 000 people or what ever, but it took me a while and I realized God's put me here for a reason, to help out these kids, even thru my own troubles and home life, to let others know that no matter what crap life churns out at us, music is the answer, it keeps us alive, keeps us going, now i dont care if i never sell one cd, or no one listens to my songs, no matter where i post them or what people are saying about it, if it goes on a dvd great, if not , next song please. Ill jam with any one, bass , horns, rappers , etc music is what comes from peoples heart , diffrent tatses of course, and playing with other people is what its about, sure i love making my own music and putting it out for the world to hear if they want to, but its when ur jaming with some one, even if they play better than u , who gives a flying ..*** its all about the music...

In case you missed my earlier query, what camera(s) do you use? I'm interested because years ago I did some pics for a glam rock band called Virgin who never really made it.

If you don't answer this post I will assume you don't want to tell and I'll mind my own ****ing business. LOL

Keep rocking

Satriella,

Re the 92 Seville concert. The BBC did do an official copy availiable from them only so you could try there. If you don't have any luck (it was a long time ago), I have a pretty good copy that I could probably get put on to a DVD for you if you want.

I don't catch all the posts here but it's fine to drop me an email if you want it done.

All the best, John.

Delfino - I have an RG7321. It really is a great guitar for the money, but you may want to think about changing the pickups (depending on how fussy you are). They're slightly muddy for my tastes, but they're by no means awful!!

Steve Morse for G3: Excellent choice! I've also suggested mr. Morse as a G3 artist. There are some excellent guitarists that would not only be awesome to see/hear with mr. Satriani and mr. Vai but would also fit in the act (in my opinion)...and I'm sure that these two gentlemen agree (and probably ponder the issue every now and then).

Mr. Morse was the first axeman that really blew my mind (already in his Dixie Dregs era) and I've listened to all his stuff ever since...and I'm still listening of cource.

Edit: marimariSRV: High five, Mari!

Mr. Satriani was the second genious mindblower for me...thank you for that, sir! ...which reminds me that I've gotta go and buy G3 Tokyo-dvd as soon as I can get my buttocs to a musicstore while them are open (busy again).

My personal favourite after mr. Morse would be Andy Timmons for the third G...and I've got this itch that we might see this one happen some sunny day...

the extremist

---------------------------------

well hows everyone doing.. to start i must just say im new and im probably seen as a n00b but im hear just like all the rest of you, because i love joe's music.

anyway ive been playing since march 2003 and i only got into satch this september... all because i bought the js100 and that inpsired me to learn more about him (i bought the js100 because it was exactly the type of guitar i was looking for at the time).

So anyway i got the g3: rockin in the free world cd to see what more of his stuff was like. id heard the summer song on gran turismo 4 but that was all. Initially it i didnt fall in love with the songs but they really did grow on me. then a got flying in a blue dream which is now one of may favourite albums.

anyway il cut to the chase. In my school theres an annual variety show/concert. And i decided to do the extremist. Im not currently in a band so i got together with two guys who said they would play it with me. Anyway we started practicing and we got 3 in so far. the first time the drummer never heard the song but hes great and picked it up fast. I transcribed the rythm as best i could and gave it to the other guy. and on our thrid practice we recorded it...

------------

1. this was recorded using a mp3 player and it was in a garage. 2. as i said it was only our third playing together (seriously now) 3. if you have a musical ear /or know the song well at all you will notice some obvious mistakes...(but hey watchyagonadu)..btw the mistakes are especially noticable on the scream harmonics parts and some bends are out but thats life... 4. there rythm is played on guitar..there are no other instruments after that

heres the link

http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0N5D2X8YAJ23C1XI5R0N158NDW

please let me know what you guys think/ sorry if i took up too much of your time.

Zen - you really should check out Amused to Death....

I think it's something you'd really enjoy....

it's very clever, dark, cynical and immensely passionate

solution to your webbox being down....
create an e-mail account at yahoo.com and mail me at paulclark@rocketmail.com

"Fripp, or the incredible inspiration to elabore a dissonant concept.

Gilmour, or the incredible inspiration to elabore a melodic concept."

for me.. Vai straddles both concepts

slansh - it amazes me that you're self confessed as not being into jazz fusion... when I believe you to be one of the best jazz fusion players I've ever heard... lmao.....

intersting points about dynamics and bending..
but when you look at the guages the jazzers use, they're not really condusive to bending without snapping the neck in half.. lol... and I guess that lack of dynamic comes from bathing in compression...
in a similar sense you could argue that shredders suffer with a similar lack of dynamics due to the compressive effect of all that dirt... personally, I try to emulate dynamics via technique choices, note selection and note density - if the tone I'm using is that saturated that picking veloicty makes little real difference...

interesting debate..

what ever happened to that Doris that was deeply in love with our Satch???

is she still alive..

The biggest F*&K up of all.

I and 2 of my friends puchased tickets for the screening of G3 in Tokyo at Poway Creekside on Oct 25th and guess what happened??

After i purchsed $9 worth of crap I sat down and when the movie sarted - THERE WAS NO SOUND!!!!!!

The incompenent staff could not fix it and an hour went buy before they gave us our money back and we left.

What a total pile of steaming SH*T

Must have been the same sound guy runnign the G3 show at Humpries a couple of years back. Nobody in the audience could hear Vai's guitar until the last 2 songs. The whole place stood up and turned around to yelll at the soundman.
