yeah i can see ur point 962, theres a heck of alot of
really great gutarists out there, and a G3 tour would set them
heaps up for life..
which is my question, I watched an interview of tony hawks tonite on tv and he said he had never imagined the success of what he does would ever be a reality, but he had a moment when he did a 900 move that made the world look,
now , joe what was that moment for u? when suddnely going from
a nobody, ie struggling to pay the bills, credit cards etc (myself from experience here) to where ur now traveling the world, tours, etc
a family, etc..
like i said theres a lot of guitarists out there who are awsome but just never get the break they need ,u know what i mean?
i mean, i did say those things before in my previous post, that if i do make it great, if not , well it wasnt ment to be, but sometimes i just kick myself cause i just sometimes hate bieng where i am,
then sometimes i love where i am and dont wanna change anything
am i mental???
sometimes i feel guilty about wanting success for my music, sometimes i say, ah im crap, i think im too hard on myself sometimes,, i put my guitar in the cubbored for an day to get away from it, but i cant keep iit there for long..
why is this?
i must be nuts???

962: On the ZR trems, you're supposed to be able to remove the center opposing spring mechanism that pulls the trem back to zero. This is supposed to allow the trem to float more like a floyd, so maybe that will enable it to flutter more. I suppose, however, this means that all of the advantages of the ZR system are compromised however (ex: no trem movement during bends etc.)

962 and Steve t - T.O.P. is definately where it is at. I can recognize that horn section anywhere. If you want more info on them you can go here,
T.O.P. website
Just got the DVD yesterday. VERY COOL!! I liked all the sets. John was predictably reserved. Now I know how it looks when I play. I am not very animated. Steve and the guys looked like they were having a blast. And Joe was Joe. I'm studing for thermo dynamics today so I think I will hear the DVD a few more times before the day is through.

Cube-He is still using those pickups. He usually only uses the D-whatever pickup on alternate tuned guitars
(Ie DGCFAD, etc).
Just got the G3 DVD.Disappointed, but still pretty cool.Damage Control, and Building the church were highlights for me.
Sick of blues songs for the jams.
That was the whitest version of Foxey lady I done ever heard. :D

Master Yoda and civgeek, yeah T.O.P really get me groovin, nobody in their right mind could listen to T.O.P's stuff and be in a pissy mood afterwards!
Stevee T, cool, I'd like to hear "Heart Of The Sun".....I still don't get why people were asking me about it though?! haha :-p
aussieRGman, yeah there's a few great people who could really use the exposure that G3 would bring.
Delfino, I dunno, I thought your pairing sounded pretty good. I was looking through the DiMarzio site archives earlier and comparing different humbuckers, and checked out the 7-stringers that you suggested putting in your RG.....they sound like a good pair to me.
When I get my S470 I'm likely to put a PAF Joe in the neck and a Norton in the bridge. Haven't decided on the middle though, I might (god forbid) have to use a real single coil in there! hehe.
Stevee T, Harvest Ice sounds real nice man. Do you use a processor/multi-effects for your tones? It kinda sounds like it, yet you can still clearly hear the guitar's character.
That is exactly what I remember about trying a JS10th in a shop in London....I was playing it through a Marshall VST. I tried a few other things before it and they sounded lifeless but the JS just forced it's tone out, like it wasn't going to give the amp a choice! haha. Love it, wish I could afford one, but that'd just be silly. I'll wait until my credit limit gets raised :-D
Just waiting for the rest of Harvest Ice to stream while I check on your site.....I think I'll be asking you about getting my hands on one of your CD's pretty soon!

Hey, Simon! Sorry for the delay in getting back.
Theres a link to the site for Gary Moore/BB KIng tickets on Gary Moores website - Gary-Moore.com or go direct to ticketline.co.uk as thats where I got mine.
I've managed to get tickets for the Sheffield gig and they're right at the front. It should be a great night.
I'm definately going to have to talk my band into doing The Thrill Has Gone again....

Hi Joe, I've just recently purchased the JSX head and XXX slant cab. I'm very pleased with the rig. My question to you is that I've used a Digitech 2120 (tube driven)(40watt) effect rack-mount on all my other previous rigs and all the effects from the 2120 sound great. If I use it as a preamp on the clean channel on the JSX head the sounds are ok but crunch and ultra tend to have way too much reverb, delay echo, etc... Since the 2120 is tube driven (4L's) also could this be my problem? I've tried using the loop effects from the head but same problem. The one thing I haven't tried is line-out to 2120 preamp effects and use the left and right channels to the cab set to stereo. What would be the best configuration I can use for when I'm playing live with the JSX head/Digi 2120? Too, do you have a site that shows settings for various settings on the knobs of the JSX to achive the sounds you get on your songs? I've followed your styles since the beginning and enjoy your pizzaz of playing style and you get the pefect sounds to characterize the songs theme. Thanks, -Steve
