[Joe, when you're preparing for a G3 tour do you, Steve and the "3rd G" all get together to rehearse, or do you not play together until sound checks? I'm guessing you must spend some time working out your ideas together?]

???

i just gotta know

musiz4me5150...hey Dean...I'm ok...have you seen all of Joe's post's in recent days? Great to see him post sooo much. I listened to your my space site, and thought "When I'm With You" had a catchy melody...one you might hear on a commerical...very nice stuff....

If you're thinking of moving to the NY area...it's very expensive to live here (one of the highest in the country), and I can't wait to get outta Dodge soon...lol...

Great to hear from you...Peace, Love & Happiness

deonblaster...welcome to the site....Joe's uses feedback to achieve that sustain...

Stephj, i don't know about your last post but i wish you a happy birthday this friday!! and i hope you choose the best guitar for you, is as it is :P i have seen you also play bass, so you like much music.

I also add this Christmas I want to buy an electrical guitar (i said it somedays ago), and i take thought to buy an ibanez sa120, but i don't know if it is the best option. Somebody has this guitar or it has played sometime? My situation is the following one: I play guitar from june, i like much to play it, and i want an ibanez for year end and to go to guitar's classes as of January... also I would like that me you said an amplifier, peavey if it can be :P

And good, it is not necessary, it's to have an idea, but I have left a month to decide to me...

SteveeT.....the east coast is outrageously expensive. Whenever I go visit my family in the Boston area, I browse through the paper and laugh at the "great deals" on studio apartments for only $999 a month !! C'mon out to northern Minnesota....I'm paying only $400 / month for a two bedroom house..lol !

Besides...if you move out here we can start a band and I can try out your "chromies" lol !

jeez... trun my back on this place for a couple of days and then there's 200 million squillion brazillion posts....

so.. my guitar birthday was fun...

funny, I grabbed the guitar I learned to play on.... and played the first song I ever learned.....

it was interesting just to reflect on the music centric journey I'd taken since that first day.......

phryg - first chord a power chord eh??

a hooligan right from the outset... lol....

hahaaa... is there any better way too start?? naahh.. lol..

SteeveT - fuck ! ! ! you're the only person I know that's been playing longer than I've been alive.. lmao...

and I didn't think that was at all possible....

tips hat to a man of considerable milage...

reading all those first guitar experiences was superb... thanks guys... awesome stuff.....

I think it's interesting, especially for the folks that have 10, 15, 20 and more years under their belt to go back over their experiences right from day one.... find all the mile stones...
your first song.. first band.. first song you wrote, first really nice guitar / amp etc, first really good band, record company experiences [like getting all the great vibes and the "no thanx... laters"].. first album / tour, first school gig,and other mile stones like cracking a solo / riff / song that was particularly meaningful to you...
for me, cracking Eruption was a huge turning point...

so having looked back... where I started... and how things are now....

you get to realise what a truly amazing and fullfilling journey it's been...

Zen - I'm already well into researching for the 2nd album now the 1st is almost done....

I am trying to develop a fugal approach to riffing...

so right now, I'm conducting experiments with Bach's Italian concerto and re-working it into a guitar quartet to study the interactions between the 4 voices...

very interesting and revealing stuff.....

the next part is to get all this new knowledge and apply it to something worthy of igniting the mosh pit..

I'll keep an eye out for the tape... thanks bro I'm really looking forward to it..

Mikey - tried calling your cell the other day... still the same number??

e-mail me bro...

Good Mid- Morning Satchland..... How R U Today?

Zen.... Who do I get the T2Jsinfony music from and when would I be getting it? SteveeT ?

Clarky.......Ha.....If you're younger than 35 .....meet the next guitarist who's been playing longer then you've been alive....LOL..... I'm showing my age....LOL.... I'm blushing....LOL....

Suzo.....Thanks. Love the article.

Mari..... I'm buying iLife 05 for my Mac soon. That means I'm converting the Satch show you sent me to HD Video. I have a lot of balls in the air now and this may take awhile but I will do this for you. I have two sets of auditions this Sun. and the following Tues. The Sun. audition is with a keyboardist and drummer. The drummer sat in for Steve Gadd on a Chick Corea Project. Will see. Sometimes musicians tell fish stories if you know what I mean. I have no reason to dout him. I'll know Sun. I've emailed Gary Buck who manages Indigenous. I'm trying to get them for consideration to play at Chord On Blues where Bonamassa played. I hope that goes through. I asked about your photos and my DVD. I haven't heard back from Gary yet. Just thought I'd let you know. Have you gotten any feedback from Indigenous yet? Take Care. Hugs to U.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

Hi Joe, "how you doin" - spending some missed time with the family I hope - nothing more important than that for anyone!! But between that I hope your getting down to some more stonkin tunes for us to enjoy. Did you go to Carle Place High School?

anyone ever been to a school re-union? They are the weirdest things, you see all these faces that you recognise but they're all grown up and ... oh it's too hard to explain how weird it is, you just have to do it. it's good if you can do it at the school you went to though, all the classes look just the same but seem to be in minature and it just brings back so many memories. (even if they were many moons ago!!)

962 - Can you download your songs onto a CD from the site you provided? I'm such a novice at this new technology stuff?

Delfino - Totally agree with the fire alarm thing - ours met its demise quite a while ago - hope you've warmed up now!

Blue Moon - Be honest your picture doesn't quite compare to Mari's cool shots - but hey at least it shows you were there, which is more than some of us. thanks for postin it though

Phyrdom - SAD!! Pick up a guitar instead!

Dean Gaspardo - listened to your tunes - Welcome home is very mellow, liked Tuff. Thanks for puttin the link on - keep it up. ZENFISH - YOU SPOKE TO ME!!!! I thought you hated me after your first post to me about the broom and all (thought you were implying I was a witch or something), thought I had more chance of getting a reply from Joe - Well, you've made my day now - thanks. Do you know how deep you are though? Your actually deeper than deep thought - did you come up with 42 as well? I hope you do do great things with the other great guitarists in here, count me and Captain Steve out though, we are talentless - well I say that, I could do a pencil portait of Joe on the front cover of your album of Satchfan music, I am good at that!

js1200-js100 - by the way meant to ask - will your nickname get longer the more guitars you get? :)

Oh - Dinners gonna burn if I don't go!!

Hi to anyone I missed hugs and love

Satriellaxx

STATEMENTS BY A WISE MAN?

"One of the great dangers of transformational work is that the ego attempts to sidestep deep psychological work by leaping into the transcendent too soon. This is because the ego always fancies itself much more ‘advanced’ than it actually is."

The Tibetan teacher, Chogyam Trungpa, warned of the trap of spiritual materialism. He says we must be ever diligent to spot the ego’s use of the spiritual journey to further its own ends.

We may think it’s spiritual to yearn for divine connection. And yet, if the longing is to fill an emptiness inside, just how does this differ from the one who yearns for money or possessions to fill the inner void? Do we look to our spiritual practices as proof of our evolved consciousness or as protection against fears?

Any time we use spiritual disciplines to maintain our identity and security, we are not yet on the path of genuine spiritual development.

"Enlightenment is ego’s ultimate disappointment."

Mr T.

Hello Steve

I assume you refer to the Zenmeister's post 1633 at 11:45:37

If so, his 1632 at 2:15:22 may shed a bit of light.

Steve.
