Hi Joe,

Thanks for enriching our lives and being such a great example in living and for even saving some peoples lives - we love you!!

Delfino - Is that the Firestarter Prodigy or another Prodigy? - If it's the Firestarter Prodigy heres a weird coincidence - They are from my home town Braintree - One of them now owns my mums old house and another owns my nans old house and my best friend from my Braintree days used to hang out with them big time before they were famous. Sad but true that is probably my one and only claim to fame...Sad...Sad...especially when most of you have sat and had a personal chat with Joe!!!

SteveeT - Thanks for sending me a personal copy - great stuff...pure talent!

js1200js1000 - Hope you've had a gr8 weekend - Sunday in London was great, upbuilt and ready for the next week at work. Thanks for asking, you friendly Canadian you....never wanted to visit before but having met nice friendly people on here I just might come one day...may be a long while..it only took me..ahem...let's just say many years to do the five park pass thing in Florida...it was fantastic...I cried my eyes out when I finally got to feed the dolphins and see them under the water at seaworld...it was just wonderful!!DREAMS EH!!!!

Zenfish - probably not! But I would need to actually do it before I could answer that - no offence taken - I bow to your superior knowledge!!:)

mthead101 - you poor thing, to want to take your own life is a terrible way to be feeling and no-one but no-one should have to feel that way....it really pains my heart...but I am glad you have the two things I hold very dear too...Number 1 and first and foremost God and secondly Joe's music. Keep holding on to the pair of them with all your might!

Must go and watch ....4.........8.......15.......16......23.........42......... again

Big hugs Satriella xx

ok, i bought a 2002 JS1000 on ebay, the guy said it was better than a 9 out of 10, in near mint condition with nothing more than a few specs of dust. it arrived on wednesday. i open it up and the back has several dents in it the bottom horn has a nice big dent in it that broke the paint. and the neck joint is cracked on both sides. will the cracks get worse? i need to know very quickly so i can yell and scream at the guy for selling me something that he lied about! and maybe get my money back. thanks to whoever will help me!!!!

TheBob, those neck cracks are in an important place. Whether or not they will actually make it structurally unstable I can't say, but purely on the basis of principle, you need to get refunded.

The asshole lied to you....there's no way that is a 9 out of 10! A 9 out of 10 would be completely as new but with the plastic film removed from the backplate and pickups, and maybe with the nut screws replaced or something. A dented guitar can't be more than 6 or 7 at most if it's a rare model....in my opinion!

No matter how much you are tempted to keep it, don't. If you pay for something based on it's description, it's discription should be correct! That is what I would strongly advise!

Slansh: I've had very good results with an AKG C1000S small diaphragm condenser mic. It helps get a more focused sound that you need in a recording out of a large acoustic. I find that for solos, or trying to capture a large acoustic, this mic, or probably other small diaphragm condensers are best. When I need to get a large strummed sound out of the Ovation, I go with a large diaphragm condenser, which beefs up the bottom end and enhances the sparkly top end of the guitar. Even on the Ovation, however, I prefer a small diaphragm condenser, because it rejects unwanted noises such as rustling etc etc. Any way, I highly recommend that mic, it's also very good as an overhead drum mic, or vocal mic (in some applications).

Stevee T: Interesting.....actually you fooled me hah! I thought it was a JS because the tonality of the Tele you used seemed dead on for some of the tones I've heard out of JS guits. The JS sounded about 95% identical in that clip, but was slightly more saturated. Very Nice!

Mr T.

I didn't expect you to know Pick Withers, I would guess that most peeps here don't. I thought he had the makings of an excellent skinsman but he left Dire Strsaits and went to work for Bob Dylan and I kinda lost track of him.

Keep rocking.

Steve.

Yeah thats em'...they're a big inspiration to me. Most of what they write is written in the same program I use, but then transferred over to pro-tools...

Theyre awesome, excellent songs, wicked drums.

OCPS470...I love the Tele's cause the way the Tele body puts the neck, pickups & strings high up in your lap...making pinched harmonics natural just in front of the Bridge PU, and of course the Tele's bite of the bridge PU....thanks for listening, noticing & liking....

got another half dozen new tunes ready to post, but...ehhh...ermmm...uhhh...I don't know...maybe next weekend...?

OCPS470...would you do me a favor & ask your Luthier what he thinks of the Plek fret leveling system..I spoke with Gary Brawer's shop early this week, and he's got one...decent pricing too....wonder if Joe Plek's his axe's?

91' JS1 - HSH in white comin' tomorrow...can't wait......just add a high pass filter & push-pull volume pot, and they're off to the races....woo hoo! (maybe even change the PAF Pro to a Fred...Fred sounds soooo nice and glassy...hmmmm...nice work on Fred Mister Joe....& Steve Blucher too)

Captain Steve...don't know where Pick Withers is as I don't follow anyone that closely...not even myself....lmao...I kinda like Jim Gordon from Derek & The Dominos Layla days... strong funky...real nice sound to his kits, and don't forget MISTER JEFF CAMPITELLI!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe Satriani...do you have any of your main axe's Plek'd?

STEEVE T,,,just talked to a neighbor of mine that has a program called "GARAGE BAND" thats sold at COMP USA..he says its MUCH better than PRO TOOLS & easier to use,,,price is $40.00 not $2000.00 like pro tools..have you heard anything about this?? Comes with thousands of bass riffs,,drums,,& key board inputs. Also very easily downloaded to MP3.

TheBob,,damnnnnnnnnnn...& to think I was lookin at a few JS-1000's on there,,I think I'll just pay the $1100.00 for a new 1 once again,,srry for your heart ache...DA

SteveeT: I'm assuming the Plek leveling system is a fret press that ensures all of the frets are put in leval? I suppose he would say that it might be a good device, but he can do at least as good with very carefull hand work and attention to detail. But I'll ask him haah!

This has been a most incredible weekend.......my HS reunion (tell u bout that later), Watching "Ray" the movie, watching G3-Tokyo and SRV "Live at El Macambo"........ I was totally blown away and amazed by all but I have to say SRV just took me to another level and I can't tell you where that is..........OMG, seeing him play Voodoo Chile,Texas Flood, Love Stuck Baby and "Third Stone From The Sun". I've never seen such raw passion since Jimi & he's got it, if not more!! I am in AWE of the man......I've never seen him live & this is only the 2nd DVD I've ever seen....... I had tears, No words can express what I felt....... simply unbelievable is an understatement, let alone what he did to my soul......

I just kick myself for missing SRV.......at least when I get to Heaven I will see him , Jimi, Janis, Ray Charles, Ronnie Van Zandt as well as so many other great talents.....

Zenfish: Glad you liked the photos, have you seen "El Macambo" or "Ray"? My Oh My!! What do you think of Ray Charles, have you listened to him? I find him incredibly deep and his voice bringing the Blues from days gone past....maybe it just me? I love his music and his spirit.

Stevee T: Black is the best for leather........just wondering if you had "Billy Sheehan Red Pants". hehee.....;-) Butterscotch Blonde Blues in B flat minor........Love it!! You writing about me?! LOL......hahaaaaa!

Michelle: So nice that you didn't have any drama, very cool. That's how holidays are supposed to be, relaxing and enjoying! My parents are in Largo, outside of Tampa (Gulf Coast) 2 hrs from Disney & Chris OCSP.... Can't wait to meet him someday when I finally get my butt down to Florida......so many other places/shows to go see!

OCPS470: Hey Chris!! How's it going??? Talk to you soon. I'll have Broadband within the next week so I can listen to your tunes... Oh yeah!!!!!!!!

Guitarmiester: I forgot to tell you they announced Velvet Revolver Show when I was at Collective Soul @ Starland Ballroom for NYE. Sorry! I think I'm going to see the Black Crows in NYC @ MSG for NYE.......gonna get tickets from Stubhub or a scalper. Or Maybe just stay home, we shall see......

Suzie2000: I still have to install it yet, was going to do it today but had family stuff....... No, you didn't miss it......Nov 30th. :-D BTW: I bought "Ray" DVD and a Greatest hits CD as well. I've always loved his voice/music. :-O

Slans: I'll miss u darlin!! Take care and be careful!! I'll have a pint for you with Ronnie & Stevee T for m bday watching the Great Spandexed One.....Yngiwe. Thank you for sharing those special words from Bruce Lee's Book...incredibly Beautiful, very powerful just like the Master himself/

Happy Birthday JIMI!!! Thanks Dave for reminding me!

962: Hey Simon! I'll email you about the photos. I finally got Electomagnets and EJ Live at Austin City Limits. Very cool stuff!!!

LucySorents: Thanks for the 666 congrats! Great to hear from you Lucy!! Thank you for your beautiful words, we have so much in common. Yes, email me and we can talk more about DVD's and photos etc..... I'm finally feeling better but I pinched a nerve in my T-spine and it's been painful since Sat am. Damn I can't catch a break! I was so happy to see your post on Vai.com! Very cool you had such an incredible experience, sitting next to Steve!! Way to go sister! I got to hang out with him quite a bit as well......he always came up to me first. OMG!

Clarky: Hmmmm? ;-))

AlexandreCaetano: I had my brother print out the photo of you and Eric Sardinas, I have it framed now only 5x7... I want an 8x10. ;-)) I just love it!!! Let me know about the photo exhibit ok? Kisses to you!!!.........Sea Eyes
