Good Morning Satchland........ How Are You Guys ?

Joe...... It's great to hear from U again. I hope the recording is going great for you and the band. Are you working with Mike Fraser and John Cuniberti? What direction are the songs taking you in? It's cool Rubina makes those things for your guitar. Kinda makes her presents felt when you look at them. That's nice. Are you planning another meet - n - greet for the new CD? That would be awesome. Hugs to you and the family, band and crew. Take care....

Michelle....... Happy Anniversary...... How many years? Cyber hugs to you and Dave. Congrats to you both.

Stevee T...... Harvestice is Nice ! ! ! ! . I like how you opened up at the end of the song. Nice Melody over the chord changes also. Great Job. Put me on the list for a CD. I'd love to have one. Thanks......Take care.

Mari......How are you? Settleing in still? I hope you can photograph Joe also. I'm pullin' for you. Take care.

Angelina/Dakook.....How's everything going with the baby? Hope all is well. Hugs to you.

Mikeaholic......Nice pics of your JS1200CA. Great looking guitar. Thanks civgeek for the link. I gotta get me one of those.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Joe Satriani

Good day to you,

I am repeating this post in case you skip past the original which may be buried in the weekend's frantic posting.

There are many people posting here who have suggested various guitarists as a third member of G3 but I have never seen a post which suggests you invite a top singer to guest on your vocal songs. I know there can be restrictions with people signed to different labels but I am sure that you could sort something out. I believe a top vocalist could take your amazing music to a new level.

Good luck with the recording. Peace and best wishes to you and your family.

Steve.

Subject: DUI - KENTUCKY STYLE

From the state where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this true story.

Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Kentucky. After last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car which he fell into. He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off. Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine, dry summer night) -- flicked the blinkers on, then off a couple of times, honked the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patron vehicles left. At last, the parking lot empty, he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the road. The police officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up the patrol car, put on the flashing lights, and promptly pulled the man over and carried out a breathalyzer test. To his amazement the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed any alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said, "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken." "I doubt it," said the truly proud Kentuckian. "Tonight I'm the designated decoy."

Subject: Senior's Bus Tour

A senior citizens' group charters a bus from San Angelo, TX to Branson. As they entered Missouri, an elderly woman comes up to the driver and says, "I've just been molested!" The driver felt that she had fallen asleep and had a dream. So he tells her to go back to her seat, and sit down.

A short time later, another old woman comes forward, and claims that she was just molested. The driver thought he had a bus load of old wackos, but who would be molesting those old ladies?

About 10 minutes later, a third old lady comes up and says that she'd been molested too. The bus driver decides that he'd had enough, and pulls into the first rest area. When he turns the lights on and stands up, he sees an old man on his hands and knees crawling in the aisles.

"Hey gramps, what are you doing down there?" says the bus driver.

"I lost my toupee. I thought I found it three times, but every time I grab it, it runs away..."

Hey! Recently got the Ibanez JS1200, awesome guitar! Ibanez and Joe have worked well to produce a great instrument. This one now sits with the JS6 and JS6000 I have. I want a 2PRM though, thats looks pretty. Why do ya use the older Licensed Floyd Rose 'Edge' trem instead of the newer Ibanez 'Edge Pro' that is equipped on the high end production models? I think the 'Edge Pro' stays in tune pretty damn well, this is comming from someone who, a while ago, hated the idea of double locking trems! Great tunes, great instruments, great guy!

Go Joe !!!!

Errr... Hi everyone - I'm new!! :D

As this is my first post, I guess I'd better introduce myself...

I'm Manek, I'm 15 years old, and I've been playing drums for 10 years now... I live in Norfolk, UK, and I'm part-British/part-Indian. I have now got an endorsement deal with a Czech drumstick company called Pellwood - http://www.pellwood.com/?page=firma&lang=eng which I am very pleased about.

As well as the drums, I also play piano, clarinet and a bit of acoustic guitar (although only open chords, really, as I just can't play barre chords!!)

I hope to be a professional drummer later on in life. I am currently in a band, although we are looking for another rhythm guitarist atm so things are a little stagnant... We have got one recorded song, however, with the old rhythm guitarist which can be found here - www.myspace.com/ultimatum00/ - lyrics, tune and drum part all written by myself!! :)

Aside from drumming, I do school (which sucks atm, as I'm in year 11 and I've got GCSEs! :( ) sailing and table tennis. The table tennis is only a local thing, really... I started recently and I really enjoy it but I wouldn't imagine that I'm actually that good yet!! I play every lunchtime at school, though, so I'm improving all the time!! The sailing, however, is my serious sport!! I have just been selected for the British National Youth Squad, and if things work out well, I should be going to compete in the World Championships in Italy next year!!

At school I do Maths, English, Double Science and French (all of which I can't stand!!) along with Systems and Control, Applied ICT and Music (all of which I enjoy!!) When I go on to A-Levels, I'm going to take Music, Music Technology and ICT, and then after A-Levels I hope to do an apprenticeship with a recording studio.

Well... That's pretty much it, really!! See you!

OCPS - OK, here's the deal: o7 and dim7 both mean full diminished seventh chords (ie. 1, b3, b5, bb7 - NOT 6); m7b5 and a "o" crossed out both mean half diminshed (ie. 1, b3, b5, b7); dim and "o" both mean diiminished triad (ie. 1, b3, b5). If you see just dim or "o" you shouldn't assume either full or half diminshed, particularly if comping, since the extensions used by the melody/solo instruments will imply either one, the other, or both - if you decide on what to play other than the basic triad, you'll limit the harmonic possiblites.
