Bah, Duh!
Interesting to see your post dismissing England's chances in the world cup. I seem to recall you doing something similar regarding the English cricket team against the Aussies and we all know how that turned out!
As far as cricket goes, after we have defeated your nemisis to the west we will come to India in the new year and beat your lot!
Keep rocking,
Steve.

Thank you for responding to my post about the the copyright protection. I understand completely where you were coming from. You need to see a return on your investment of time. As for me, I am not out on the street making copies of CDs to give away. I purchase CDs and upload them onto my iPod. As you are probably aware, Apple and some companies (Sony) do not always play nice and make it difficult on each other.
I understand the artists right to make money and enjoy the fruits of their labor. However, some companies (Sony) may be leaving computers vunerable to attack - without us knowing it.
In their defense, in my matter, Sony was helpful (took 3 days though) in instructing me how to upload the G3 CD onto my iPod - it takes a few steps and a little bit of time - but as always, was very much worth it.
There are those out there who borrow CDs, make copies or upload onto their computer and then make countless copies. I have made a copy here and there, but it is for my car - one for the car and keep the original at home or at work.
All in all, thank you again for responding and I would imagine most of us here at T2J are purchasing music legitimately (at least most of the time - since I cannot speak for everyone).
Keep up the great work !!!

Genesis Reunion?
Original Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel says he intends to talk with his former bandmates about bringing the group back together. "The odds [of Genesis reuniting] are better now than before," he declares. However, Gabriel insists that it's too early to tell whether the band actually will regroup. "I wouldn't put money on it . . . yet," he warns. Ex-Genesis singer-drummer Phil Collins said in a recent interview that he's willing to participate in a reunion event.

'WWE Smackdown!' Star Guerrero Dies
MINNEAPOLIS - Eduardo Gory Guerrero, a World Wrestling Entertainment superstar was found dead in his hotel room Sunday in Minneapolis, where he was scheduled to appear that evening in a WWE Supershow. He was 38.
When he didn't respond to a wake-up call, hotel security at Minneapolis Marriott City Center and Guerrero's nephew and fellow WWE wrestler, Chavo Guerrero, forced their way into the room, police said.
There were no apparent signs of foul play or suicide, police said. An autopsy was planned at the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.
He was a featured star on the UPN series "WWE Smackdown!" and son of Mexican wrestler Gory Guerrero.
Chavo Guerrero and McMahon said Guerrero was open about his past drug and alcohol abuse but they said he'd been sober for four years.
In February 2004, Guerrero became the second wrestler of Hispanic heritage to be WWE champion when he defeated Brock Lesnar, a former University of Minnesota wrestling standout. Guerrero lost the title four months later.
In May 2004, UPN aired the special "Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story." The one-hour program chronicled his childhood and his struggle with drug addiction that almost cost him his job, family and life before his recovery and eventual capture of the WWE championship.

Dear Joe,
Saw your show at the old 'Commodore-Ballroom' in Vancouver this summer; absolutely AMAZING!
My 20-yr. old Son (plays keyboard/guitar in his band) and his girlfriend (bass-player in the band) bought me the ticket for the show; bless their hearts. We all took a ferry over from Victoria (here on Vancouver Island), took a room on Granville then caught your show.
I'll be 50 next March and I've seen many great shows in my day ( 'Stones' in 71'/Vancouver; 'Elton' in 73'/Montreal; 'Supertramp'...'Fleetwood Mac'...to name but a few); your show is among the best I've seen. I Love your music!
I can only imagine how busy you are; so I'll keep this short.
I thought I"d try this idea (the 'Interact' thing) as a means to contact you. With a little luck, maybe I'll hear back from you.
THE NEXT TIME YOU COME TO VANCOUVER, BC., "PLEASE" I REPEAT - "PLEASE" - JUMP ON THE FERRY WITH YOUR CREW AND COME TO VICTORIA!
'BUT WHY?' you ask.
Reason 1) There are thousands of your 'Loyal-fans' here.
Reason 2) If you've never done it, the 1 1/2-hour ferry ride
over here through the scenic 'Gulf-Islands' is a trip not soon forgotten.
Reason 3) We've got a brand-new 7000-seat arena for you to blow apart. Rod Stewart and Robert Plante have already played there and by all accounts I've heard, the sound (acoustics in the building) is quite good.
If your Manager is not sure who to contact to set up a gig here, have him/her email me and I'll arrange a contact, if that helps.
I'd kill to see one of your shows again right here in my little town. I hope it will get some consideration.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Cheers,
Terry Anderson

Deflino - hahaaa... I missed this first time around..
nominating Space Time for song of the day...
awesome stuff.. you've made me go all silly....
thanx bro..
Zen - I have the tape.... I've only listened to it once so far...
however, there are some pretty interesting ideas on there..
I particularly like it when you play slowly because your unusual note selections stick around a little longer
now you may or may not agree with this... but your lead playing style sounds very 70's to me - which I like..
like a bizzare blend of Fripp, McLaughlin and Satana...
for my tastes I think you over-did it a little with the flanger..
at times the effect was stronger than the notes sounding.. which I thought was a bit of a shame as I thought I could just about hear some nice chords trying to poke through...
mikey - my target with all this new music is not to introduce refinement to the mosh pit...
but to refine the triggers to set 'em off... lmao...
Zen - I have a track to write for an even called GASfest first called Indigo..
once Shredz is done - in a few weeks - I'll make a start on Indigo...
then I'll look at Buzzards....
and to make sure that I don't forget my initial thoughts.. can you please e-mail me back the mail I sent you...
cos I was too stupid to save it myself...
Yoda - once I got The Raft sorted, I'll give you a shout cos then the pressure is off studio wise...
jam.. beers... etc etc...
also... I really should introduce you to Morgan Custom at some point....
fucking hugely expensive... but beautifully made works of art with serious performance...
don't forget to bring the kleenex... you'll need 'em.. lmao...

Good Morning Satchland.......How was that coffee?
I couldn't agree more on the file sharing issue. Let's face it. I don't think file sharing will never go away. The internet is obviously a powerful medium for anyone and everyone. For musicians it's the best thing that's happened since the birth of Les Paul. I think the forces at hand should sit down and come up with some kind of standard that's fair to the artist as well as the labels. What I like most about the technology is the bang for the buck with downloaded music. Considering an averege cd costs about $12 to $16 A fully downloaded cd from iTunes is only $5. That means the consumer can buy three cd to there one from before. That promotes more sales across the board. I agree with Steve Jobs statement that if they raise itunes pricing that will just promote more piricy. You have to make it so the buying public will not feel ripped off. Record labels have got to change there attitude. They can longer get fat off the artists they sign. They have to reevaluate there position in the market and adjust accordinly or more piricy will flourish as more younger consumers will catch on to stealing rather than buying.
gottahavejoe...... The man came through for you sweetie. That's our Joe. BTW....I'm doing great. Thanks for asking.
I had a busy weekend. Cindy and I saw Anthony Gomes on Fri. night at Chord On Blues. I gotta tell ya....Anthony Gomes is one of the best peformers I've seen in a long time. He's is a great vocalist and has a great band. Check him out when comes to your town....you wont be dissapointed. Cindy and I also got to spend some time with justjoan. She's awesome and we really enjoy seeing her at the shows.
Sat. night went to the local bar with some friends I'm haven't seen for a long time and pick up Sean a web site lead. My buddy Steve ( owner) played my bands cd while I was there and that was pretty cool.
Sun......Audtions.....Yaeh...... after three power outages from the wind the power finially stayed on long enough to play and it was great. Possible found my rhythm section. After the guys left I had a recording session till midnight with a Blues/Rock guitarist in my studio. It was great. But reallity hit and It's Mon. and I'm at work. But thats ok cause I'm talkin to ya.
Have A Great Day Everyone( Sorry Kayla...LOL....)
Hope you enjoyed the coffee.......

Michelle, I am not sure if you own any Vai cds but if you do you obviously have not payed much attention to many of the cover art themes. I am not saying Vai is a demon and I am not some crazy "bible thumper" like you may think. But...When I think of Joe I do not think of a fifth of Jack Daniels or a long haired eyeliner wearing madman playing burning guitar solos on stage much like I do with Vai. I guess I may have worded what I was trying to say wrong and for that I am sorry. I simply meant that Joe does not fit the common rock cliche' much like Vai has over the years and to me that is admirable. When I say how that he influences people in a evil way I mean that he does fit the "evil mold" in many ways. I own several cd's and even in the liner notes and pictures Vai is more abrasive. I also got the feeling that at the two shows I saw them at it seemed like Vai was trying to steel some of the spotlight from Joe....slightly disrespectful to your mentor. Also Michelle, I am one person in a sea of millions what I said was my opinion and has more than tons of potential to be disagreed upon by many. If I bothered anyone who is a fan of Vai I apologize and never meant to stew up anger, annoyance, or anything else.John-

What a lot of illegal downloaders (" KIDNAPSTERS" ) don't get
is that guys like you work......really work.....
You're right about the young musicians being affected and the whole idea of the FBI gettingout and doing something about piracy is a pipedream......
We (Listeners & Musicians) need to just spread the influence
of our belief in this REGULARLY.....I'm not saying to grab a bullhorn and shout condemnation like a groupof vigilante evangelists at a gay pride march.......Just Be Constant and
Unyielding.........
I"m in a position where i hire people....I think from now on, one of the integrity questions I'll ask at interviews is "have you ever downloaded or copied music without paying for it?"
Remember Peeps.....If they'll steal from one....they'll steal from another!!!!
Happy Travels and Thanks for the Toonz!!!
Peace...john

TOALL: this is a T2JCD update! I've finished the mastering, and I've organised the track order, and we have a pretty good, wide ranging group of tracks on this album. Anyway, I should be close to sending this on to DCK and getting this thing into the last stage of production. Everybody excited!!

Do you use iTunes or have an iPod?
The average price for a full CD is $9.99 not $5.
Songs are 99 cents each - some albums cost a bit more - if there are many more songs on the CD.
It is a good deal - but you do not get the satisfaction of holding the CD or reading the booklet. Some songs from iTunes come with a digital booklet you can download.
Typically I still purchase the CD, but if I only want one particular song, I get it from iTunes.
