Yeah. I listen to all Joes music about 6 hours a day (whenever I can). Long time fan Joe, been on this site probably 400 times. You rock man, keep it up! You've inspired me to play better, I mean that.

Hi Joe, I really hope this message reaches you because this may the only way I can tell you how much I have been inspired by your music since I was 5 years old. My dad heard of you from a guy at work back in 1986 or so and bought Surfing With The Alien on vinyl. I always loved rock music because my dad watched mtv. My mother accused him of "messing me up" because when I was three or four my playpen was in front of the television and I was trying to "rock out." After I heard the album I would go into the basement and play the tape of it he made me (the record player was off limits because I ruined his Michael Jackson "Thriller" album) on a "boombox." Dreaming of being a rockstar, I would take a tennis racket and pretend it was a guitar. I did this for hours at a time and for at least three years. In third grade I got my first guitar. Over the years I have gotten better...but I just cant move my hands (fingers). I cheat tune it...but if you aren't highly educated in music..you can't tell. About three years ago I got the chance to see you at DTE Energy Center and I swear to God, when Always With Me, Always With You began, every hair on my arm stood up and I began to feel all choked up. About midway through the song I teared pretty badly. Years of admoration came out. It's strange,but even to this day (I am 24 now) certain songs can choke me up. My favorite album is obviously Surfing With The Alien but there are some emotion envoking songs on albums post Alien ....With that said, there are some things I'd like to mention to you (If you ever see this) First, when I saw you a second time at DTE my ticket said Joe Satriani and Dream Theatre...but you opened and because of that we missed a good portion of the set. Why? Also, have you ever thought that during the years of G3 Vai always seemed to try and out play you. (He has the satan look...aka Crossroads..and you have a "not of this earth persona.") Also, I am a very religious person and has anyone told you that at times you play music that could be the music played at the "credits" of someones life? Not that my views will ever mean anything to you but, god has given you a skill that in my opinion is unmatched by anyone who has ever walked the face of the earth (perhaps thats why I tear up) and as I see it you have chosen a very admireable path as far as how you present your talent to the world. People like Vai indirectly spread a more evil vibe to many people who are impressionable, empty, and lost in life. You on the other hand, have never looked possesed. (Your talent is God given, Vai may simply be possesed:satan...he will bless you if you live a certain way and spread a certain vibe). Also, my biggest dream is to have the possibility of you playing at my wedding (Always With Me, Always With You) considered. I know this is a dream and I dont expect the chance to be possible in the least but hey you can hope right? Well thank you for being who you are and being the Alien instead of the Devil. I love your music and it will always make hair stand up on my arm. John from Michigan

man, I wonder what the new album is gonna be like. I want to Joe to make a metal like album someday so he can own all the mediocre metal bands and shitty hardcore music. I mean he already owns them but I guess I just would like it if he did more heavy rhythms. I know he's done more lately and I love it but I guess I want more! lol. I love it how he always does something different and suprises us though. like Is There Love In Space? blew me away. actually, all his albums do, lol. never mind....

HEY JOE the fact of digitally copying an artist music does make it rough on us upcoming independant artist......I'll sell a few CD's and lots are copied and handed out...I don't mind the exposure, but on the radio end.....DJ's tell you send me your CD and never give you a play becuase it's just instrumental.......we need to launch a war against the stubborn DJ who wont play our music 'cause he's too chicken to spin it.....I know some of us have friends as DJs who will spin your track all day. I've attracted more attention to my merchandise than the actual CD.....lol I need a record deal now...anyone wanna sign me?

Yep, I know 1st hand that Barrie had snow, (my name sake city) I was there Friday and then I was there Saturday night but it melted already... but it's gettin to that point... today was actually pretty warm for this time of year, runnin around still in my T-shirt but I just took the dogs outside about 5mins ago and I was shivering... it's warm with the sun out but once it's nightfall that's it, temperature drops fast...

I was tired and not up for it...felt lousy all weekend. Sore throat, my head pounding....didn't get much done. I did however finally order DSL for my computer. YEAH!! And I get a great deal to boot!! I've spent the afternoon working on my VAi & Eric Sardinas Photos while listening to VAi......totally awesome!!! I have a slideshow going on my laptop (15 1/2 in screen) Very sweet, I feel like I'm at the show. LOL

I've never, ever thought of Vai as being or spreading evil. That's just about the most retarded thing I've read on the board yet. Don't mean to be harsh - we're all Satch fans here, but Steve is one of Joe's very best friends, so I guess if Steve is bad, so is Joe. lmao!!
