At the Yngwie Malmsteen show last Wednesday, there were quite a few people playing some air guitar...I bet most could not even actually play at least one minute of Yngwie's stuff... Usually when you go to a show, you go to watch the band(s), am I right?... There was this guy standing in front of me, he was stuck in the 80's, with his tight denim pants, small leather vest, ass-long hair...this guy probably watched maybe 20-30 minutes of the show?! Pretty much the entire show he was looking to the back right and just staring...which happens to be just the wall (and there wasn't anyone or anything there?) Yngwie Malmsteen live...totally amazing! I'm waiting for Dream Theater to post up some new tour dates, hopefully they'll be in my area for at least a day or two, or more... Well... I haven't played any guitar yet today...it's time to rock!

hello joe
i've just realised after playing for a few years that most of
my picking is pretty much always done in the "inside".
i'm doing "up and down"strokes without any problems
but when i play really fast sequences i feel that i'm losing some accuracy.
does it has something to do with the fact that i'm an "insider"?
i've been doing "outside picking" exercises and it's not easy!!!
i have to exercise at low speed with the metronome and i feel
that i have to start learning guitar all over again!!!!!
i'll appreciate some advices from you joe, i'm not sure what to do.
thank you,and keep doing what you do,it's great!!!!!!
my nickname is doudec and i'm a big french fan of your work.

castle49....yes, snow is pretty normal for this area...just not this much, this early in the year! Everyone is saying it's gonna be a heavy winter...which is good for our water situation, so good and bad!!
As to getting along on the board....there are things people post that may annoy or offend someone...that's inevitable cuz you can't please everyone all the time, or often things are taken the wrong way and misconstrued. I think MOST of the arguments on here could be stopped before they start by just IGNORING things that bother you. So many times I see someone jumping on someone else for little things....I just shake my head and go on. I know that there are times we think we have to speak up anyway...which is why I'm saying this now........
SO.....this is not directed at any one person or any specific occurence, just my less-than-two-cents. I'm gonna shut mah mouth now, which is my best policy! LOL!! :)

Suzie I am just about 6 months along and I am going to get them taken out a couple weeks before my due date. So they will be born around the third week of March. We are very excited about that;

Zenfish: lol on that 8yr. old, I've seen that before.... Funny to watch, and even more to wonder whether he was given a guitar upon coming out of the womb, lol.... Lot's of young prodigy's out there, and interesting to see what they will do for the future of guitar, like you said.... At 8, the young prodigy chains Malmsteen shredding & Bach while the others are just starting to discover masturbation. LMAO bro, classic!.... But soo true, lol, and good point about the madness
of the family.... I feel sorry for that boy....
BTW, I've seen that Shane guy before, love watching the vids.... He plays with so much ease and has a great attitude and presence.... That kid is going places....
marimariSRV: Sorry you didnt get to meet YJM, but great news on getting Patrick your photo and Roy's cd!!.... If anyone can help, I'm sure he can.... And the bass player Mick remembered you, lol, that is awesome, I'm sure he can also help you out, and maybe even get you in to watch a tennis match with Yngwie, lol!.... So glad to hear you had a great time, and boy, meeting a nice guy on the way home, lol, sounds like the good karma is really working for ya now mar!! :-) Good luck and keep us posted....
Lucky Sorets: CONGRATULATIONS on see that awesome show, and thanks for the setlist and great review!!.... Sounds almost better than the U.S. G3!!....
....Off to work>>>> Peace
