Clarky - "would you class a harm min and a mel min scale as a synthetic scale because it was derived from the Diatonic minor simply to satisfy a cadencial event in a minor key??"!

That's an interesting thought. I think you're probably right with the melodic minor (certainly as you know it - the one that's different ascending and descending), but the harmonic minor seems much more stable and functional to me. I'll qualify this a litle later on, but right now I need a shit... lmao

Quick post for any guitarists, I have some distortion pedals I'm looking to sell if anyone is interested... Marshall Drive Master, Zoom Tri-Metal, and maybe a Digitech Metal Master. All are in excellent condition, Digitech is brand new. I'm looking for a Marshall GV-2 Guv'nor or a ToneBone Hot British. Sorry for taking up space. Anyone interested, let me know.

---Yngwie Malmsteen in 2 weeks! Can't wait...

---I was just over at the music store for the 2nd time this week and noticed a 24K gold Deep Purple Who Do We Think We Are CD. 24K gold CD's, I'm guessing that's to try and make the old tape recordings sound a lot better.

HI Joe, I just needed to ask a question.

Will there be other colors produced of the JS1200 model Ibanez? I love the candy red of course, but I'd really like to see some blue or another sort of color, maybe gold or something.

Thanks!

Hey man just joined the site and started listening to you a few months ago, you're truly amazing man, I've already got Live in San Francisco, and your G3s in 1996(with Eric Johnson) and 2003(with Yngwie Malmsteen). Its amazing how you can ask practically anybody in the street who Joe Satriani is, and they just look at you and go '¿huh?' but then you ask them who Green Day, Simple Plan or Blink 182 is and they go 'oh, yeah, sure, they're really good'. Only a few months ago I got out of that circle of purely comercial music with 90% publicity and 10% music - you're the 1st real musician I'm listening to and thanx to you I'm discovering lots of new stuff (Steve Vai, Dream Theater, Angra, Opeth...I can't believe I've been missing all this!) and immersing myself in this 'undeworld' of people who know how to difference real music from MTV Videoclips and Grammys. Thanx man! I hope that music ignorance changes (at least here in Spain) once and for all, and if it does, you'll be responsable for it! thanx man

BAHDUH- only 4 more weeks ! Then 2 weeks off..... can't wait, it's keeping me going at the moment; I've seen a job advertised that I may go for, not sure yet though... btw BLOOODY FREEZING already.....

GUITARMIESTER - saw Yngwie in May- fantastic show.... you asked about cover bands, well it was supposed to be Michael Schenker, but he and Yngwie had a "tiny" falling out so... a band called "Dragon Land" supported instead. I thought they were great, although I think they must have been handed the script of "nice things I MUST say about Yngwie in between introducing songs..."... also at the end of the gig when they were all lined up to take the bow, the singer was in the middle, Yngwie at the edge... Yngwie soon re-shuffled the line up so HE was in the middle LMAO!!!!!!!! You've gotta love Yngwie. I do anyway!

CLARKY LOL! Sorry I missed your tv moment!!! :)
