Big Fan here. I have evrything G3 and Satriani related I can get my hand into.

But I'm rather worried now.

You see, G3's CD is on that list of CD's with the Sony spyware. And I'm one of the ones who got his PC hacked. Not sure. Sony's spyware was stealth and difficult to uninstall. Even for me, a Silicon Valley metal nerd.

Should I be wooried for the rest of my CD collection? What about future G3 or Joe's releases. My PC sounds better than my Stereo, so I'm always listening music on my PC. Plus I can't live without my iPod. Even my screensaver is a picture of the last G3 concert I went.

Not sure if I should keep buying CD's at this moment. If I decide to go LimeWire or BitTorrent for my Satriani needs, at least I know I'm risking getting some nasty viruses on my PC. But why should I have the same risk when buying the CD legally from Tower Records or Amoeba?

Keep rocking!

Delfino - bro.. I've no idea where the DC gigs are.... I'll shout when I know for sure..

Zen - hahaa.. my "too far zen" comment wasn't pointed at you.. lol...

when you say it out loud... it sounds like someone from London saying "two thousand"

given that I'm from London.. and that was post number 2000..
I thought it a nice little comment..

sorry for the confusion.. lol..

keniko - the same rules apply to internet based music as to internet based anything else...

as in...

there's a lot of great information to be found....

and a lot of shite too...

so.... eyes wide open....

if you get stuck on something... shout...

ya yo - IUMA.com is totally dead now...

I have a few tunes in this place.....
a few you know already... and a few that maybe you've not..

http://www.soundclick.com/clarky

enjoy bro

Mikey - so basically... your life, home and family are all unsettled until you know what's going down for sure??

I'd imagine you'd want to stay in Oki yeah??
all that nice sun shine.. great beaches... etc ...

all y'all.... thanks for the "happy 2000" shouts...

Zen: The best...I guess at the end of the day that is what people see worthy enough of taking a leading role in its field

I must say Mr Martone is a fine playa & deserves serious recognition for his talent

The best never get heard "on a big scale" nor do they want to be, they are pure mechanical genius.... like the others that hang on to one note which are very unscientific, i have been graced to have heard both, mindblowing concepts with extraordinary talent who want nothing to do with fame/fortune & are happy to play to a few lucky enough to hear listeners

When talkin about the fastest, someone always will pull the gun out faster than you sooner or later while another makes a slow painting of it so amazing you wonder why you play

Balance is knowing yourself & being proud of what you are or what you are about to become in knowledge of where others fell & few gain for me

We have music in the blood, its enough, music is competition in this life, its all the things we dream bad about, but it is also a true freedom, a way to escape without the use of drugs to feel good, the best drug

Hi Joe,

Every morning i'm traveling by train to go to my work... And every morning it's the same: reading the free newspaper and watching to the grumpy faces of all those people who, i think, are thinking i'm grumpy to... But i'm not grumpy at all, it looks like i'm reading the shouting headlines in the paper and yes, i probably look very bored and grumpy to, just like most people at 7 am in the morning. But i'm not!

You know, It only takes 15 minutes by train to get on my work and every time when i jump out of the train i think to my self: tonight i will write Joe a message, about the song "Time". I don't know what it is, but every time when i hear the liveversion from your album "Live in San Francisco" it gives me goospimples! You keep on going in this song, like a steaming train, and it always brings me good memories. When i met my girlfriend, 2 years a go, i had to travel much longer than the 15 minutes that i'm traveling now. The trip took more than 4 hours, but ... Time was on my side :-)

I'm listning to your music for a long time and i'll hope you keep on playing for another long time!

Hope to see you soon in Holland.

Greetz, Toop

Hello Satchland!

Excellent new music I bought today: System Of A Down: "Hypnotize" and Clawfinger: "Hate Yourself With Style". This new Clawfinger album consists of a CD with 11 new tunes and a DVD with a live gig from last summer (Greenfield Festival; Interlaken, Switzerland); 9 older tunes + video clips of 8 older tunes.

...Pretty f****ng energetic packages of R O C K ! ! !

Zenman: Been busy (like I told in my message concerning T2J Symphony)... a studio,,, hmmmm,,,yep. I've heard that those are appropriate places for recording music, but.........not free + requires time (not only from me but the studio personel, too...fitting schedules etc.). Also, to participate, I would have had to hear the other movements before I could have decided what sort of stuff I would have put in it (and in which place), 'cause that's the kind of a perfectionist I am...
Like I told, my friend, I've pondered it... and all I need at the moment is just some sympathy in my agony, please don't twist the knife in me!

Anyway I wish all of you involved enjoyable moments of creation. Just go for it!

DCK: I checked out Martone's site. Pretty cool stuff. He blends the fast with the melodic, and the strangness beautifully. I realy like the crazy country tune! Great stuff!
