962 - "Cliffs Of Dover" was in Ah Via Musicom right? and what album was "Zap" in? the only EJ album i've got is "Venus Isle" which just blew me away... anyway i'm waiting for your answer man, I just got to have the studio version of "Zap"...
goodness, there are a lot of good players coming out right now, i think i'm so left behind... is there really any hope left for a 20 year old guy who just started playing seriously during the last year?
i'm so discouraged haha

I think my favorite G3 was the one with Eric Johnson, it just kicked major ass...
2nd is G3 03....
then the 2001 outing with JP...
I still have to find a copy of G3 in Tokyo somewhere...

Ovation1:Yip, the Clarky does wear off on y,lol, Shure57/58 as expected, did fail miserably recording the acoustic, found some cool experimental sounds though
Clarky:Better i leave the J Can locked up, the forms are wicked bro
OCPS:Yeah it does appear to be true bro, but then, truth does change. I,m, personaly not into the competitive angle of music, it side tracks me away from creating more substance in my work.Making technique better i admit, does have its own wierd sensation, strange & highly addictive, took me some years b4 i learnt how to hold back & focus more of my energy on the composition at hand
Stevee T:Great stuff Mr T, must have a further listen later.Back t ye ol masterplan meself this month, will have some time to write & contemplate on the hills of Girona
Michelle,Mari,Fab,Zen,mikesb,VFR,Cube, juju,Joe of course n all the t2j peeps, have a happy grumble, have work for 1 month in Girona outside Barca, chances of getting to a cyber cafe also will be slim as the house is so remote & the work hours long.Take care, enjoy best y can & have a beer on me
adios for now

LucySorets, thanks for answering all the questions! I checked out your review on Vai's site....there's some cool photos in there, and some really interesting bits of info that I didn't know about.....like there being a Real Illusions DVD in the works, and that "Reflections" is the first part of a trilogy?!?! Cool!
fizz450_03, yeah man, of course there's hope! haha, it doesn't matter if somebody twice your age starts playing guitar.....there's still opportunity for them to progress. Don't feel diheartened that you're not at the level you want to be. Put your head down and persevere....ignore people who are "better" than you.....and you will suddenly realise you're making big Improvements.
Yeah, Cliffs Of Dover was on "Ah Via Musicom". Zap has gone through two different studio incarnations - once on "Seven Worlds" and then again on "Tones". You should get the "Tones" album 'cause it's loaded with great tracks, and Zap sounds better on there than it does on "Seven Worlds". It still doesn't sound quite up to the G3 live version though, that was absolutely killer!
You can also now find another live version of Zap, as well as Cliffs Of Dover and many others on EJ's "Austin City Limits" Live CD and DVD. Definitely worth having ;-)

Zenfish- I agree you have got to respect Clapton. Just personal taste though! There are many other guitarists whose styles just appeal to me more. What you said about Malcolm Young- he is a fantastic riffer, (if that is a word?) so much energy in his playing. Have you seen a recently released AC~DC dvd called "Family Jewels?" It has great footage on it, one disc of Bon, one of Brian.
And I have finally ordered the new G3 dvd!

Zen:True, y may like this, my hidden/unhidden source of inspiration
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4474316.stm
As he said "be like water my friend" He is all the proof i need of art in action, someone who was recognized & loved well while alive & at death
Would have been 65 this Sunday-Bruce Lee RIP, strange it is that Jimi Hendrix was born Nov 27 1942
A day for Art friend & i,m sure a special day for Joe
From the opening pages of Bruce Lees book
"Tao of Jeet Kune Do"
Into a soul absolutely free
From thoughts and emotion
Even the tiger finds no room
To insert its fierce claws.
One and the same breeze passes
Over the pines on the mountain
And the oak trees in the valley;
And why do they give different notes?
No thinking,no reflecting,
Perfect emptiness;
Yet therein something moves,
Following its own course.
The eye sees it,
But no hands can take hold of it
The moon in the stream.
Clouds and mists,
They are midair transformations;
Above them eternally shine the sun and the moon.
Victory is for the one,
Even before the combat,
Who has no thought of himself,
Abiding in the no-mind-ness
Of great origin.
Zen:I new there was a reason for talkin about art so much this week but it never clicked, back to recording bro with a wee tear in the eye, laters

Your media player tags it as Madonna?...Mine tagged your FIAB Jam as:
Oracao Perdida by Luis Claudio....lmao
Excellent work though Luis...lol
Apparently the Prodigy concert my friends went to on friday was awesome, I wish I could've afforded it...they played all their songs including one of my personal favourites "Breathe" and the song, "Their Law"...
Hmmmph, oh well atleast there is the hope of a Satch UK tour....and when T00L stop having BBQ's in the rehearsal rooms they'll finish recording their new album and also, hopefully tour the UK.

Mr T
Can't say I have an all time favourite as different drummers rise to the top depending on my mood.
However, Cosy Powell, Ginger Baker, Pick Withers, Keith Moon and Omar Hakim are all IMHO fine players. Oh yes, Phil Collins isn't bad either.
Gotta have Kayla
The messenger is still working but for some reason has stopped automatically opening when I switch the pute on and I have been too lazy to sort it out.
Keep rocking.

Kayla, I'll be looking for that show. I usually watch it every Sunday. If you see the previews and know it's coming up, give us a yell.
Slan, don't work to hard and take care of yerself! See ya on the flip side.
Alan McKenna, you were telling us all kinds of sorted details about your meat and potatoes and how you like them cooked in the thinnest bag available. I say double bag it, and I stand by my decision. A rubber wall is better than having your meat ruined forever. lmao!! Any idea what you said now??

COMPUTER HELD HOSTAGE - DAY THREE
Our friends at Sony/BMG have yet to publish a remedy for their XCP mess and my computer's DVD and CD ROM drives are still inoperative. It's hard to make any money selling discs of my photos when my CD ROM won't burn disks. All because I put G3 Live In Tokyo in my computer.
HELP ME! I need my computer to make a living and I'm not able to make a dime right now. Someone needs to tell SONY that they are responsible for making this right.
