Good Morning Satchland.....How Are You Guys?

Civgeek..... Cindy abd I went to a wedding about two years ago. We tried our first Chocolate Martini there and we were hooked on those for a while. That drink can be dangerous to your health....lol.... How come every thing you like ....is not necessarily good for you? Damn shame.......lol......

Lucy Sorets.....Happy Consitution Day. Thanks for the poster links. Who is "Freak Kitchen" and "William Stravato" ? I've never heard of them.

JS1200..... So you're still in Chi- Town? Yaeh ! ! ! It's Friggin' cold. I'm sure you caught the record low on Mon. for 5 above. We talked before about the Winter not being to bad if it's not like it is now. Well....Here it is. It Sucks.

Satriella.....Just how does a soggy toilet roll feel?...LOL....Sorry you're a bit under the weather. The complaints were hilarious. Thanks for those. It put a smile on my face and got me started with my day.

Blue Moon.....Nice job on A Train Of Angels. Almost sounds like a demo of Joe before the actual recording. I loved it.

Mari....Thanks. You're a sweetheart. I haven't forgotten about the DVD's. I've been real busy and I promise to get them to you. Scouts Honor....lol....

Band Update.....After Three rehearsals with the new line up I'm happy to say It's going great. This is exactly what I've been searching for for almost two years. I'm receiving photos and bios of the guys soon. I'm going to put these up on the web site. I'll let you guys know and if you want you can go to the site to see the band. Thanks for being you.

Have A Great Day Everybody ! ! !

Edit....Zinc...Thanks for the info on Van Halen. I thought Ed and Val were divorced already. I was in love with Val in her early TV years. It's sad that had to end. Also,It's sad to see Eddie crumple over the years. Ed is such a great guitarist. He has had a lot to contend with with the cancer,alcohol... Roth/Hagar issues. I hope Van Halen comes back soon.

Guitarmiester: You might be able to get a hold of Matt King here........ It looks like his site hasnt been updated in ages, but I'm sure the email addy must still be good??.... The way I look at it, Berklee may not be for everyone, but it is the best possible situation to be in if you want a future in music.... You study/practice, have access to an incredible library of music, AND meet people in the industry that can help guide you toward your goals.... Everything is what you make out of it....

....Oh, btw, JOE never went there..Dr. VAI did (he received an honorary Doctorate a few years back), and there is a whole section of the library dedicated to YJM, lol!!.... Good luck man, and go for it!....

Zenbug: That's the scary thing about Shane.... He's got a great sense of humor, lol!!.... We will hear more I'm sure....

962: haha, lol Simon, I was talking about the name of the dvd.... If Satriella obtains the Crossroads dvd, she will see Joe Walsh' set ;-) Which is pretty awesome I might add!.... Man, he can play the blues like a madman with soul!!....

....On Gilberto.... I would get Alligator farm next, cause 2 Become 1 (Spice Girls) is on there as well as the amazing Instrumental Let The Computer Decide.... Makes Petrucci look minor, lol!....

Nite all.. ZZZZzzzz

Oh, and Simon....I found a page (Tony Spinner guested on a few songs) that includes the whole Alligator Farm album clips!!.... Check em' out!!

....Paul can do anything.... Listen to Six Billion People and Two Become One.... Then listen to him laugh while singing Lancelot Link!

Lancelot Link for G3!

Ovation1: MattKing doesn't post much on T2J anymore. I talk with him via IM alot though, and we trade music all the time, so allow me to speculate on Matt's decision. I think Matt feels that Berklee is ultra competitive in terms of "I can play faster than you." I think he feels this is all bs, and isn't really what is important. I think he just really hates the vibe of competitin in music. I would have to tell you as well, that I was considering trying to get a scholarship into Berklee through the B E S T scholarship they offer (a program where you send in a cd demoing your ability) but after talking to a guy that used to teach blue grass at the school, I'm not interested. He seemed to seriously have his head up his butt! haha!

OCPS470.....Ego is a terrible thing isn't it. It seems it hemorrhages in the arts more than anything else. Me personally....I like to play healthy. If you know what I mean. I sound and feel better when I do....and I have more fun that way. You have to have fun or what's the point. I have a theory about jealousy and ego. If you have one or the other or both. It means you're not happy with yourself. If you're truly happy with yourself. Let the music flow. You don't have bagage or drama flowing(hemorrhaging) inside. Where the hell did this come from?...lol.....

Ovation1 You're right, Joe didn't go to Berklee. There's a book called 'the art of joe satriani', it has an interview with Satch before it gets into his music. I read it a while ago, and remembered seeing that he mentioned Berklee. But, he just said he was at first heading towards Berklee, but didn't end up going there. About Berklee though, I definitly should try and go there for a few days before I actually go there. I don't like being competitive with music, doing the whole "I'm faster than you" and that kinda stuff. I can actually play pretty fast (and accurate-most aren't accurate, why even play fast if you can't even hear all the notes?) but I don't like shredding every chance I can, kinda use that for some flash or something here and there. But, I'd like to go there and check it out before hand, you never know. It would be a great place to meet other serious musicians and there is sooo much at Berklee, I was looking at all the stuff they have over there yesterday. I knew Vai went there, he used to write some stuff with other musicians and everyone try and play what the other wrote, they tried making it as hard as possible.

michelle I noticed that Petrucci played two songs off Suspended Animation on the G3 DVD, great work. I've seen reviews on S.A., all being great, I'd most likely get it and like it, I just keep forgetting to order it (I don't like ordering stuff online, I hate waiting for anything related to music! cause I want it right away and don't want to wait!). I've watched the DT DVD's I have soooo many times, they never get old. Such an amazing band. Once I see that they are coming to any places in my area (that includes my state and any close) I'm getting tickets to see them, I'll have to have close seats too! The Live at Budokan DVD is amazing, I've watched that over and over...the other too, but that Budokan DVD is unbelievable!

-Off to play some guitar for a while. Rock on.

Kayla..... I'm doing great.Thanks. That's great news. Have fun and be safe. Hugs.

SteveeT....Thanks bro. It's been a long time coming. Actually the bassist is from the first line up. Mick is from England and has been in the states for about 6 or 7 years. It's great to have him back along with a really good drummer. Take Care. Peace.

I posted a couple days ago about Christmas CD's. One in pacticular was Ho Ho Hoey from Gary Hoey. I'm listening to it now and it's great. Check it out along with Vince Guaraldi's A Charlie Brown Christmas. I know this may sound funny but The Vince Guaraldi Trio is great. The piano work is chilling in a good way. Check them both out.You wont be disapointed.

Take Care.

Edit.... BTW....It has the Linus and Lucy Theme. What a great song. I was amazed when Stu played this with Joe. It brings me back. THANKS JOE AND STU.

Coke to launch coffee-infused Coke Blak

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE:KO - news), the world's No. 1 soft drink company, on Wednesday said it will launch a coffee-infused soft drink called Coca-Cola Blak in various markets around the world in 2006.

The news of the launch came hours before Coke Chief Executive Neville Isdell was scheduled to address financial analysts and investors in New York.

The new drink, a combination of Coca-Cola Classic and coffee extracts, will be first launched in France in January before being rolled out in the United States and other markets during 2006.

A Coke spokesperson said Coca-Cola Blak will be a mid-calorie drink, similar to Coca-Cola C2, which was launched in April 2004 and contains half the sugar, calories and carbohydrates of regular colas. The formula for the new beverage is expected to vary based on local tastes.

Analysts have said one of the keys to the company's future is capturing more consumers who have moved away from sugary soft drinks to diet versions, or to healthier low- or no-calorie beverages.

DCK I am currently in the process of transcribing my Martone interview. We talked for 55 minutes and Dave talks fast (well not as fast as another Dave we all know and love but fast nonetheless) . I am up to eleven single spaced pages of text already!!! He has some interesting comments about his Berklee experience and whether or not he would recommend it for others. My fave part so far is when he first met Holdsworth at NAMM. They were having a quiet chat in a walkway between the Samick and Carvin booths when they got steamrolled by a herd of buffalo with cameras and video cameras (about 150 people according to Dave's estimate) Dave and Allan friggin Holdsworth got crushed against a partition by a throng saying "make way for the great Paul Stanley, Paul Stanley is here!!! The irony of it all, Martone and Holdsworth crushed by Paul Stanley... Kinda sums up the current state of the musical world now doesn't it....

BTW I have not forgotten your CD's just been real busy.

Mari those Katrina hurricane making landfall fotos were awesome!! Truly spectacular!!!

Yes, it is hurting young musicians the most.

Did you know, the oldest artist colony in the USA is in Rocky Neck in Gloucester, MA. on Cape Ann?

Bought a new Charvel San Dimas for the collection, very nice, very nice.
