Getting Better - A couple sayings that have got me through
Improvement comes in platues.
Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.
Schedule, schedule schedule.
Touch mama everyday (even if it's only for 10-15 minutes)

My only constructive criticism is that some of your bends on Train of Angels sounded a little bit off key, and there were times when the timing seemed just a tickle off.
Yup exactly :D i wasnt bothered changing it, lol it was recorded pretty raw but nobody's perfect :p i used my strat which is scalloped with a gay arkward intonated birdge, so u gota watch the bends on some bits, i was kidna learnin bits of it as i was recording it, but hey no excuses i knew if i posted it here id get that lol, + i find if u are espressing the notes in recorded tracks, like adding alot of vibrato, it doesnt sound right sometimes, Live shows well u vibrato the hell outa the notes!! 8)
+ d major H is somethin i recorded on my phone wen i got a delay pedal :|
Heyyyyyyyyyyyy Joe

Ovation1: Well, the ex Berklee guy I talked to, put me off in a couple of ways. First, he made it perfectly clear that he feels that teaching is just something musicians do to make money, and that it's all just a bunch of bs. This hurts me, because I take teaching very seriously, and I can see how my philosophies about the guitar, and my methods have influenced my students. I can also see how they have taken my ideas and created their own voice, so I have a big problem with his ideas about that. The other thing, is he told me that if I wanted to understand bebop improvization, that I needed to read "The Art of The Fueg" about Bach. I thought this was corny, and any bop player I've talked to has basically said"....hmm seems like bach chordal movement and Charlie Parker's stuff are two different things to me." He just seemed to be full of crap. Now, that doesn't mean that there aren't probably good teachers there that believe in the power of teaching. I would tell you though, that if you don't end up going to Berklee, you shouldn't feel like you'll be a bad player. There are plenty of players that are amazing all over the place, that you can get lessons from. Remember, I don't think Vai or Petrucci is brilliant because of Berklee.....I think they were brilliant and driven in spite of Berklee. I mean, I don't think Vai was even there for more than a year. Anyway, that's the gist of everything.
