michelle, thanks for sharing that list from CNN - those statistics are quite sickening. That's basically at least five thousand coallition troops who have been killed in the last couple of years, and nobody has the balls to stand in front of their five thousand families and tell them what the real reason was that their son/daughter/brother/sister/etc died. You're really switched on girl, keep it up!
Satriella, haha, you should maybe consider getting some of those CD's off amazon or something, then you don't have to wait until you go into London! It'll be cheaper too!

The email re respect etc. Of course people ought to remember those that died with compassion but I was disturbed by the email and did not agree with it at all. I also think of the Japanese that died and the great Japanese people that tried to stop Pearl Harbor from happening. To me, people are people. I have no elevated position for any nation over another. Love and respect for all. But I cant celebrate people dying or for the animousity one nation has for another, which when a war is won, is seen as a victory. I see it as a deeply sad and shameful event on the world. I was somewhat f a military guy in years gone by but now, I am pretty much anti-war and anti-death penalty. There has to be a better way if we can just get leaers not driven by politics and getting one over on the other. We are a very selfish people and its not good. I am not saying that i don't believe that certain war or conflict wasn't necessary at times, but it always became necessary because of the world's political obsessions.

Bottom line, as long as we celebrate and elevate one nation over another, we just keep on losing.

Let's just call it even, okay?

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - A Turkish villager who ran away with his friend's wife has offered his own wife in exchange, newspapers said on Thursday.

Farm laborer Cengiz Esme said Gulhan, his wife of 18 years, disappeared a month ago after leaving their village to go shopping in the southern Turkish town of Tarsus.

The 36-year-old said his village friend Mehmet Yaksi had telephoned him the next day and said: "I've run off with your wife .... You take my wife," the Radikal daily reported.

Esme pleaded for Gulhan to return and said he was ready to forgive her and make a fresh start elsewhere. The reports said Yaksi's wife, a mother of three, declined to comment on the situation.

A man was given the job of painting the white lines down the middle of a highway.

On his first day he painted six miles; the next day three miles; the following day less than a mile.

When the foreman asked the man why he kept painting less each day, he replied "I just can't do any better. Each day I keep getting farther away from the paint can."

RIP John Lennon & Darrel Abbott

My grandpa received three purple hearts for his participation in WWII. One from Iwo Jima..another from Guadalcanal..not sure where he was when he earned his 3rd...but damn it..that deserves respect does'nt it? I support our forces because they're just doing what they're told to do. But I think our Mr. President has his head stuffed way way up his arse. 'Nuff said.....Peace, SD

Here's the first heartbreaking interview from Vinnie Paul - Dimebag's brother - since Dime's death ~

http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/player.jhtml?id=1517693

Also, at www.Pantera.com in the NEWS section, there is an article -

"Dec 8th, 2005 - DIMEBAG's Family To Sue Columbus Club Over Deadly Shooting: Video Available "

There is a link that shows video of the actual shooter running onstage - without seeing anyone get shot - you know what happened...

I need more fucking tissues....
