Zen I "Googled" Orlando and came up empty?? The player I was referring to (damn I wish i could even remember his name) was an eleven or twelve year old hotshot (LMAO) provided in a link by our dearly departed friend the jazzman.. Jazzy where are you???? Twilight Zone?? "Where the bullet hits the bone" (lyric courtesy of Golden Earring).......

Hey Joe , this is the 45 year old midjet here (aka.... Gavin and i am not really 45 or a midjet just rather small). the first time i seen you in concert was when you where with steve vai and robert fripp. And i just got to say that was one hell of a show u guys put on. Especially the rockin in the free world, but the highlight of the evenin i thought was when the whole crowd just piled down to the front of the stage and eh come to think of it i was standin directly in front of you not even 1 meter away and still to this day i thank god that i was there and seen 2 living legends up close as i did (being u and vai) and hope to see you in the near future

Cuth.....I hear you loud and clear bro. If I may....." The road to sucess is always under construction ". Coming from a construction background I can relate to that in more ways then I care to. Seriously...... Me personally....I respect any talent musically or not. Just because I may not like somethings doesn't give the right to knock it. Well.....There's rap music....lol.... What I'm saying is. I have a great repect for Christina Agularia, Britney, The American Idol winners.....ect. These are talented people. But I'm not going to buy there music cause it's not what I like listening to.... but I still respect there talent. End of rant...Take care.

Kayla.....I'm doing great.Thanks for asking. When that mountain opens....TEAR IT UP ! ! ! ! Hugs.

Ovation1, it's quite fascinating man.....you obviously have quite a variety of local microclimates going on all over Japan's smaller islands, and different areas of the main islands.

I'm told that, in some areas, the climate is almost the same as it is here in england, and there is occasional snow in winter.....well, whichever area you go to, it seems Japan always has something stunning to offer!

Me and my sis have been talking about visiting and seeing some of the stations on the Tokkaido Road, it looks pretty amazing!

Also, completely unrelated, but I don't think I told you - I saw one of Paul Gilbert's UK Clinic shows in the summer.....he's a proper dude, and absolutely hilarious! I wish everyone else would get the picture, so many people still misunderstand him!

mthead, sounds nice dude, I'll be sure to holler at you if I'm coming to Alaska! Is there much of a social or trading relationship between Alaska and SIberia?

I've always wondered that, what with the Bering Straight being so relatively short....I know it can be crossed by foot/snowcat in winter 'cause it freezes over, which sounds kinda fun, but from what I've seen, looks like hard work!

fizz450, what an honour man, I'm so thrilled you put me on your top 10! haha, I'm in sheer disbelief! :-D regards your strat neck, to be honest I think the problem sounds more like a pickup thing. I have noticed that changing pickups will change the level of response you get in the upper register.

This is one of the key characteristics of Joe's pickups, which is presumably why he gets such an effortless level of output and tone from his higher frets. I'd suggest looking at the pickup profiles/descriptions on the DiMarzio site before getting a new neck! You could also check Seymour Duncan, though I find DiMarzio more informative and, well, helpful!

thumper, surely Gregg Bissonette should go on that Drummers list?! hehe. I personally love him. Simon Phillips and Terry Bozzio are both amazing too!

Zen, re bratwurst and noise (or lack of silence)....

Tons of bratwurst are consumed weekly in Chicago (My Kind of Town)

It is not called for the "windy" city for nothing.....

962: I can't understand how any one could misunderstand Paul Gilbert. He's always come off as a briliant guitar player that takes playing very seriously, but doesn't think you have to be a stick in the mud because of it. He seems hilarious, but never arrogant. Some folks just can't take a joke, or understand sarcasm. I saw a video of a PG clinic in Japan I think. The audience member asked Paul if he had any cool licks he does to end a song, and Paul proceeded to play a G chord while doing a windmill strum then holding his hand in the air and making a face...hahah! That's great!

Anyone know where I can find a bootleg of Yngwie Malmsteen on his latest Unleash the Fury tour, PLEASE let me know! I wish I would have brought a camera last night, they didn't check anyone on the way in...of course when I didn't bring a camera they don't check anyone! When I saw Vai at the same place they checked everyone, but I still got a camera in, but really couldn't take pics unil the after show. But, I'd really like to find a bootleg of Yngwie on this tour!

ok so this morning i went to blockbuster and found a documentary called Rock School (not to be confused with School of Rock with Jack Black in it) and just finished watching it...WOW... although i couldnt stand the teacher (Paul Green) I was blown away by the kids and what they were playing :) ESPECIALLY a kid named Cj Tywoniak... dude the kid is now 15 and in the movie was maybe 13? and he was playing Van Halen and Zappa solos, if you go on his website you can even hear him play some Yngwie...site says he is now taking lessons from Joe Stump... you have to check this kid out!!! http://www.cjtywoniak.com/

if others have already given a heads up about this sorry for the repeat, but holy wow this kid is going to be touring soon and we should be prepared to hand our money over to him :)

hope all in satchland are doing well and have an amazing weekend...
