Satriella Like 962 said, 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulance would be another great DT album to get. 6 Degrees...costs a bit more than the other DT CD's, but it has some great songs on it...you'd really like Disappear.
Ovation1 If I get a chance to check out Matt's band I'll let you know.
-Along with the signature guitar accessories Joe has on the way...I think I also heard he's been in the process of working on a signature wah and distortion? Anyone know more on that?

Anyone know how I can make iTunes play back my music without a gap between the songs? I don't want that gay crossfade thing it does, but if I'm listening to something like Scenes From A Memory then there's like half a second of silence between tracks, which kinda ruins it. Any ideas?
Suzie - If it's a daytime thing then anywhere's just a train ride away from me, so I'm really not fussy...
michelle - Actually, unless I'm sorely mistaken, not one person was even hurt in the blasts on Sunday; let alone killed. Pretty miraculous, really!

DCK - That's just it though - you can't. I know you can turn the crossfade off, and I've done that, but then it leaves a slight gap between each track while it processes it or something. I dunno, but it's kinda gay...
peaceandguitars - If you want to get rid of the crossfade, just go into preferences and click the audio tab. In there you can adjust how much crossfade you want, and if you un-check the box then there won't be any at all.

Is this a good forum to ask about techniques? If so, I'm trying to find out where on the guitar is Joe playing the artificial harmonic just prior to the solo section of "Satch Boogie"?
In a transcription, it indicates the 14th fret of the 4th string (an "E") note, yet if you listen to Joe playing it, it sounds F# then descends and then back up to like an "A"??
So three questions are nagging me:
1) Where is the harmonic actually played?
2) Is Joe hitting it with whammy bar already pulled up?
3) How far is his whammy bar setup to allow being pulled up? Please indicate in semi tones.
many thanks for pointing the way

I was wondering, are there any videos of Joe playing Tears in the Rain? It's a very nice song, but I've never actually seen Joe play it.

whats up guys. I was on allmusic.com the other day and they had listed "One big rush: The genius of Joe Satriani". It said it was released on Nov. 29th of this year by sony. I'm thinking is a overseas release mabey? I figured a bunch of satchheads would know better than anyone else. Or Joe himself for that matter. Joe you know anything about this?

3. Sleep Walk
4. Belly Dance
5. Back To Shalla-Bal
6. (You're) My World
7. All Alone
8. Cryin'
9. Up In Flames

Satriella I'm listening to DT's Awake CD right now... have you listened to the whole thing? It is one of their heavier albums, but they have some more tamed stuff on there, like 'Lifting Shadows', which I'm listening to right now, great song. If you haven't listened to that song off Awake, check it out, it's the 9nth song.
