Peaceandguitars............... Sorry to hear that people are being rude to you. There sure is a lot of people that say cruel things and dont care about other peoples feelings.

There are also people that take everything to heart and I am one of them. I have been told that people that are mean usually are very unhappy people and making other people upset makes them feel better........... I hope this makes sense.

I hope that things get better for you! Nothing worse then being sad.

Hang in there!

Joe,you're truly an inspiration for me. Thx for your hard work and making my lifetime alot more worthwhile by listening to you play. I have a question i havent been able to find the info on the internet. Ive just bought a JS Special WH today in Singapore. Its got your autograph with the number #9 on the back. I was wondering how thats different than the JS1000 or 1200. Why doesnt it hv the push pull volume n tone knob like the rest? Is it supposed to be like that? I had to pay with my ALL my fund sources but nevertheless I'm so relieved to hv the sound ive longed for that i hear you play coming out of my fingers. Also, I felt really bad that you had a glitch with your gears on the Tokyo G3 dvd.Anyways, God bless U.

Michelle....."Eruption" came on the radio at work the other night and I had someone turn it up so we could get the full effect....all those young guys did'nt get it....did'nt see what the big deal was....I felt sorry for them.

Jeff Beck's "Blackbird" & "Suspension"....absolutely inseperable. I does'nt get much better than that.

Peace&guitars - Whoever wrote, sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me was a complete idiot!! Wounds and bones heal but when your heart is broken by a hurtful comment it loads worse and sometimes never heals. I hate it when people say horrible things, especially when they are not true. There is a scripture in the bible that says something like there is one speaking thoughtlessly as with the stabs of a sword! How true that is. Some people say things without thinking and it really hurts. Actually there is another one that says that the tongue is like a match and it can set a whole woodland ablaze. In other words, a small comment can cause a lot of damage. Anyway, just remember there are a lot of people on here who care, and those who are being horrible will get theirs eventually,(not by you seeking revenge of course, just by life in general) just a matter of time before you will be laughing at them (to yourself, not in their face) for getting as good as they give! BIG HUG.

Hello Joe, my name is Alexander and youīre my favourite guitar player (with Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Steve Lukather,Stevie Ray Vaughan etc.) because you was the first solo guitar player i ever heard. So I come to my first question, what is your secret to play with so much feeling and expression????? Itīs incredible, itīs one of my biggeest dreams to play with the same expression!!!! and another question is will you ever come to germany? Iīm not 18 so itīs difficult for me to see you one time one stage īcause youplay always outside of germany. So i hope i havent made too many mistakes but nice greetings from germany exactly from Hessen

You_Are_The_Best/ JoScWa.....Welcome to the site. Come back often. Glad you came aboard.

SteeveT..... I hope also. Hope sounds so desperate. You WILL see me "live" soon...lol....Thanks.

JS1200.....Welcome back to Chi-Town. Thanks for the Christmas wish. It's to early for me. I don't want ot burn myself out to soon on my wishes. Last week I posted with so many attached Hugs and Handshakes I had to sit down......lol....Oh ! ! what the h... Merry Christmas to You...lol...

Civgeek..... Civil engineering? That's all you got?...lol... You couldn't have pick a harder Major than that. A lot of schooling as you know. I'm impressed. Engineering is so cool. I watch Engineering Marvels on Discovery all the time. One of my fav programs. It's amazing how you engineers figuire shit out. Beyond me. Good Luck to you. You to Mikesb.

Satriella..... just remember there are a lot of people on here who care, and those who are being horrible will get theirs eventually, just a matter of time before you will be laughing at them for getting as good as they give! Revenge is not the answer either. I know you didn't mean it that way. It's best to just suck it up. It's hard and it hurts but in the end you become a stronger person. I have. I've had a lot of experience in this area with my brothers and sister. A Hollywood writer couldn't right a worse story and that's all I'm going to say about that. Thank God I have Cindy and my two sons to keep all together for me and for reminding me who I am. Hugs...always Hugs.

Angelina..... How are you my dear? How's the twins and Canada? I emailed Rick yestersday. Hope all is well with you guys. Say hey to Rick for me. Hugs to you and handshake to Rick...lol...Take care.

Satriella, hey thanks, it really keeps my level of satisfaction up to know that you're still listening to my stuff....I really appreciate you telling me as well, it honestly means a lot! :-D I played "The Jester" ot one of my students the other day and said "do you like it?" and he grinned, and nodded "yeah, it's really cool", so I'm now teaching it to a ten-year-old! How nuts!

Also, got my second guitarist recording his part on a new project the other night.....it's happy and funky (again) so I'm hoping you'll like it. It's got a big focus on there being two guitarists, so it's a cool take-it-in-turns kind of thing.....hard to explain but it'll make sense when you hear it! It's going to be a while before it gets done though 'cause I'm off to france next friday for 10 days skiing! YESSS!

mowlie, for sure, changing your pickups will put a smile on your face. The type of sound/s you're after will determine what to go for, so feel free to share what sounds you're after!

I got me a new S470 the other day and it's great but the pickups suck, hard! haha, Ibanez stock pickups are so lame.....I'll most likely have a PAF Joe in the neck and a Norton in the bridge. The upside is that the shocking sound of the S470's stock pickups has reminded me just how much I love the DiMarzio set in my SA1260.....I have never enjoyed a guitar so much!

js1200js1000, greetings back at you bro! Hope you're all set for a decent time chilling out and enjoying yourself for christmas and new year!
on breaking strings, haha, I'm surprised at how much you lot break your strings! Still, everybody plays in different ways so I guess we're all different!
now playing: Gregg Bissonette's first album......damn there's some hot sh*t on here. Andy Summers is currently kicking my ass, and I only just recovered from Ty Tabor and Scott Henderson, and it's Paul Gilbert next!

What can anybody tell me about George Bernhardt and Doug Bossi? Who do they play with, what's their stuff like....is it anything like their Gregg Bissonette stuff?

Hey Joe, Hope yer Holiday Season has been going great and I hope the new music is coming along nicely.

I wanted to ask.....

Now that Sammy Hagar has basically washed his hands completely of Van Halen....what are the chances that the "PLANET US" supergroup with Neal Schon, Sammy, Mike A., Dean C, and yourself might become a reality?

I know the project was put on hold a couple years ago when Sammy decided to give EVH one last shot and tour with VH in 2004. Will we ever see "Planet Us" happen?

Hi friends,

keniko - thanks for your comment, sometimes when you write stuff, you know what you mean, but it's not until someone else reads it that you realize it could be taken a whole different way to the way you meant it, so I've amended my last post. But I know what you mean at the moment, I've sent my brother 4 cards in the last year, nothing from him, until I was going through a hard time (although he didn't know about it) then I get a call - why- just to av a go!!! I kept quiet, then just cried my eyes out when he had finished. Anyway the point is, I can sympathize. Absolutely treasure Cindy and the kids and do nothing to wreck the priviledge you have of having your own special family, do all you can to teach your children not to fight!!!

962 - Still listening to your stuff...of course I am...you don't tire of good stuff, come on, have you only listened to DT or Satch albums only once, of course not, you never tire of them, (hmm oops, yes you do and I've got the album to prove it, hmmm) well OK I never tire of them or you! Teaching your stuff to someone else, now who else did that...let me think...Joe someone I think!!!!!!!???? Duelling guitars eh, is it like on Crossroads? Come on...You must be nearly done now!!!! oooo...ooooo..wrap your arms up with mega bubble wrap while you ski...nothing, I mean nothing must happen to your arms or hands..break as many legs as you like...you don't play your guitar with them in some weird way do you...no...oh good..fine then..break them, but do nothing to your whole arm area..got that! ooo.....oooo..and have a goooooood time!! (never fancied that myself, go somewhere cold for a holiday? let me think....naaaaaaaaa)

Zinc Master - Hope you've broke another record today hehehe

js1200js1000 - Have a happy holiday too...lets face it any time off work is a happy time...I gave up doing christmas 10 years ago now, but I love spending time with my children and having time off work of course and just relaxing..great stuff, no stress, no worries fantastic!! Can't wait.

Michelle - You make me laugh :) Glad you read it, you do wonder when you post silly things if anyone bothers to read them, thanks for the proof, although thinking about it you do wonder if anyone reads any posts sometimes, so good to have an answer.

Well I think that's everything...oh no

Civgeek - Well done! Is that what your names about Civil Engineering Geek?

OK...happy Fridays everyone.

Hugs Satriella xx

Broken-hearted donor leaves diamond ring in car

BOSTON (Reuters) - Are diamonds really forever?

An anonymous gift-giver left a $15,000 diamond engagement ring to the owner of an unlocked car in western Massachusetts with a typed note hinting at a broken heart.

"Merry Christmas. Thank you for leaving your car door unlocked. Instead of stealing your car I gave you a present. Hopefully this will land in the hands of someone you love, for my love is gone now. Merry Christmas to you," the note said.

The three-diamond ring with a white-gold band appeared on the seat of the man's car at a train station in Westborough, about 30 miles west of Boston, on December 7, police said. Four days later, the man reported it to police.

"This appears to be random," said Westborough Police Lt. Paul Donnelly. "I think there was a search for a car that was unlocked."

The 37-year-old man decided to keep the ring after a jeweler appraised its value at $15,000, police said.

Zinc Master - noooooo don't break your vinyls. OK they may be old but they will be worth a fortune to your grand kids!!! I've still got some old 78's!!! (they were my grans, I'm not actually that old) Someone said years ago that my copy of the Cramps - surfin bird was worth a lot back then...don't know about now...probably worth nothing...Actually I've got tons of records, I suppose I won't be able to play them soon, can you put things (yeah I know Der!! but I'm not very technically minded) from vinyl to something like an MP3 player? Do you like the Cramps by the way, wonder whatever happened to them?

Hi gen!!

peace&guitars - ahhh The Pogues, that brings back memories... we saw them when they supported King Kurt..a very memorable night indeed. We got off this obscure station in London (King Kurt had been banned from most places), we didn't need to ask which way to go cos there were people with buckets of goo and stuff on the train and when we got off we just followed this trail of eggs and all sorts to the venue, the bouncers stood at the door covered in stuff, looking bedragled and letting anyone in, anyhoo inside, the Pogues came on, all I remember is the lead singer or goofy not sure which, banging his head on a tin tray. When they had finished, everyone in the place split in two, we were in the middle wondering what the hell was going on, then over our heads all these plastic cups went flying while gary glitters record do ya wanna be in my gang was playing, then this guy lands at my feet with what turned out to be broken ribs from skidding down the floor which was soaking wet and on a slope cos it was an old cinema. Then King Kurt came on and the place went mad, throwing all the gunge everywhere...it was great....staggered home drunk and in a mess (OMG 18 years ago)

So glad your feeling a bit betta and good idea to take yourself away from the situation. BIG HUG

Zincmaster - i take it your not technically minded either.

Anyone else know the answer to the getting your vinyls on MP3 question? Come on 962 you MUST know the answer :)

Hugs Satriella xx

I totally agree Michelle..that first Van Halen blew everything away at that time...Edward was the friggin king for me..his was some searing work for 78 man..when all there seemed to be was Styx...Kansas..BOC to name few..VH knocked people on there asses big time..not long after that Randy Rhoads hit the scene..and that was all I ever played besides Jeff Beck..!! Hey...!! that reminds me...!! Joe could cover Jeff Beck's "Come Dancing"...or any of his stuff...and I would be blown away...!!
