Robotech . . .

Anybody remember the TV cartoon Robotech?

I heard a full length movie is in the works - set after the last episode, after the third series (after the Invid).

Any other Robotech fans out there?

Just wondering.

ZINC MASTER: Yeah man, I'm a LONG time Robotech fan. Loved them all. They actually were working on the Sentinels, but only finished 3 episodes before Carl Macek ran out of funding and the project ground to a halt. I hadn't heard they were working on a movie for the "End of the Circle" which tells how the SDF-3 gets lost after its battle with the Invid at their homeworld and finally makes it back to earth. Should be cool if they do it right. It'll be cool to see good 'ol Rick Hunter and Max Sterling back in action.

STEVEE T: for my complete setup for guitar and effects, go to me website and click the "View More Pictures" link underneath the picture of my guitar. My "Guitar Geek" setup diagram is there and should give you an idea of how I'm getting my core tone. But, for "HC Ballad", I actually recorded the lead as a two shot recording pass using a Line6 Guitar Port. That track is still really rough and now where near finished, but it pretty much says what I wanted it to say so I'm not in a big hurry to "fix" it. Me and Matt King go back a few years. He and I were both Satriani UnListers, a private mailing list that used to be moderated by Joe's long time friend John Riccio. I've seen Matt grow into a phenominal guitarist over the years. His ear for melody and composition rivals Joe's in my opinion and is right up there with guys like Andy Timmons as well. I went to Jemfest 2001 with him and his band Course of Evolution, and have also visted him out in New Jersey. Even though I'm no longer subscribed to the UnList, he and I have maintained a pretty tight friendship online ever since through AIM. We've jammed together over VOIP numerous times and I've learned alot from him musically. He's a great guy with a ton of potential. He just needs the right people to back him.

OVATION 1: Yeah man! Thanks for the kind words. I've taken a fairly long hiatus from the "Talk 2 Joe" page, I've had alot going on, but its good to be back posting.

CLARKY: Hey my brutha....! You still here?! Let me know the next time you're here in DFW man. We need to hook up and jam again. I've learned alot since last time.

**Peace**

Good Morning Satchland...... How R U ?

Well yesterday I had a scare of a lifetime. I was at work and got a call from Cindy's school that she was rushed to the hospitol. I FREAKED ! ! !. She just crashed from the stress of working and the constant pressure that's on her through out the school year. Then when you add in the holiday stress her body said " NO WAY JOSE' ". Cindy is such a loving person and she takes the wieght of the world around with her everyday coz she cares so much. The night before this happened she was crying in my arms about a 5th grader that's moving to another school for BD. ( behavior disorder ) She knows that kid will be lost and she can't do anything about it.( school politics )The problem for me is .....how do you tell someone to stop caring? You can't. Some how I have to show her to care about the issues she can control and not to take things personal when issues are out of her control. Sorry I'm ranting.....any ideas? Bring em on.

Ovation 1....King Kong for G3 ? I love it. Let's see Kong is 50' high so that would make a JS1200 about 35' long. That's great advertizement for Ibanez and Joe. Better yet..... How about a Kong painted JS model us mere mortals can play? COOL. How about it Joe ?

Band update. auditioned a keyboardist last night and it was great. We want him in and he's going to think about commiting. I guess his day job keeps him busy so he's going to think about it. This guys dad worked for Hammond and he knows the pres. from Sisuki (They bought Hammond)His keys were steller and sounded great. He had a potable Leslie( not Motion Sound ) that sounded great. The keys just rounded the sound of the band out. I got the chills during are first song. What a sound.I hope he joins....icing on The Blues Mavericks Cake.

Have A Great Day Everybody ! ! !

BTW.....SteveeT.... Thanks for the link on all your songs. When I get time I'll download them next to Harvest Ice already in iTunes. Thanks again.

Apparently the series takes place right after the end of the 3rd series, where they set off looking for Hunter.

They encounter another alien group.

I think the series is called the Shadow Chronicles - or something like that.

They have a web site. I think it is http://www.robotech.com.

Enjoy.

Satriella....Thanks so much. Cindy was released on the same day. The docs did all the usual tests for heart attacks and such and she checked out fine. She's just burnt out and I'm glad her Winter break starts this Mon. She'll have 2 weeks off to chill. Great timing considering. I have to oppoligize. I read your post earlier and forgot to ask if you were ok. Are you? I hope you work things out soon. Hugs.

Hi Satchland!

962, Simon, I loved your description in detail of Andy Timmons's music, I need to listen more! I have shouted "I love Andy Timmons and I only have one CD TWTTIN" from the rooftops so I hope to get something of Andy Timmons this Christmas hehe Happy Christmas holidays, have a good trip and have fun! :-)

cheese101, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is really interesting...I guess it will be the 2005 Christmas record for many of us! I loved specially "Wizards In Winter" and the video is super cool! Merry Christmas Tracie!

marimariSRV, hi Mari, after listening some Trans-Siberian Orchestra... and later reading your review, specially when you said "The most incredible experience since seeing JOe & Steve VAi for the 1st time... This was 100% the BEST light show I've EVER SEEN!" that's a temptation! I hope someday they play at this side of the world...
Mari, other thing...sorry I didn't have time to talk about our video & photo swaps...I think we'll have to wait after the holidays...but I wanted to tell you that all my video-tapes are in PAL format so I just can send you VHS-PAL tapes...ask your friend if he can put VHS-PAL tapes on DVD also so you can view them securely. Talk to you soon and happy Christmas! :-)

bahduh, hi, you have a mini mail! I'll reply asap the others...krismas basuk!

alexandrecaetano, feliz Natal Alexandre! you have mail!

Keniko, I am sorry to hear this about your wife...sometimes it's difficult to stop caring about everything when you have a heart of gold...I think in my humble opinion that she should try to stop reacting so quickly...and to find a slower way to respond to an event...my best wishes to you both and have a peaceful Christmas holidays!

Stevee T, nice new tunes! Happy Christmas!

Steven Wilde, drop us a line sweet man, come Satch cyber-home for Christmas :-)

Satriella, sorry to hear that...how to cure a heartache...I think only love and time heal the wounds no one can see...I think in this emotional season you should try to be focused in the loved ones you have and remember warmly the ones you don't have...a big hug for you :-)

And Happy Christmas Holidays to Joe and each and every member of this wonderful forum!

ZINC MASTER: Sweet man. Yeah, I just checked it out. I'm really pumped about it now. Saw some video clips of what they are doing. Looks like Scott Benard is goona play a large role in it too. Videos look great. I guess I'm gonna have to break down and buy those "Prelude to" comics. I need to tell my brother about this as well. He'll be pretty stoked to hear about it. He's been a fan, like me, since like 1986. Its one of the best sci-fi stories ever. I'm glad to see they are finally finishing it.

STEVEE T: Lets see.....Myspace.com pretty much requires you to create an account. You don't have to create a full blown webpage to get access, but you do need to register to get access to things like viewing pics. Its actually very cool and ALOT of talented musicians have posted their sites there since IUMA went "abandoned". Lots of great music there and a great (and FREE) place for you to post your music if you have any.

My guitar is NOT a JS3 "Donnie". It is a stock JS1000 that has been custom finished by a guy named Steve Kramer out in Colorado. The artwork is inspired by the "Donnies", but it is NOT a reproduction of any of those finishes. It is an original piece. I'm very proud of it and wish I could play it 1/10th as well as it deserves to be played.

I'm not sure the UnList is still active. It may be but I don't have the addresses to subscribe anymore. Its also by invitation only if its still active, so you kinda have to know someone who belongs to it to get an invite to join. Hope that helps.

**Peace**
