mikesb....yes...Greg Howe deserves recognition Big Time...I do own every one of his CD's + each time I listen...it strikes me so severely that the level he plays at...is to say the least... beyond...

I use to tell him..that I couldn't believe that I could be spending time with such a MONSTER (and asked him why they hadn't built a statue of him in the center of town...to which he laughed)...maybe the best technician I've ever heard....(maybe Jazz/Fusion genre' is not as condusive to "Rock Star" treatment/recognition) If I could fuse Joe's great gift of composition/melody/taste + Greg's ridiculous technique.....?

There's one last surprise Greg has not announced...can't wait for him to spring that one...cause I'm gonna be there....God Willing....lol

Joe Satriani...any chance of adding Greg Howe to your list of G3 possibilities...?

dakook, I'm just saying that sometimes "Dude, that's my girlfriend yer talking to" is sufficient instead of an all out meltdown. It's human nature to flirt, but if the person keeps it up after they're told, then they deserve what they get. As women on a mostly male website, it's bound to happen, but it's just the internet. Though they may try, it's not like they can't rub up against us in here. lmao! No reason to take it so personally or seriously. Sometimes we ALL need to think before we speak.

cheers

Guitarmeister - I absolutely trust you when it comes to music, especially DT - Octavrium next, could be some time as I have LOADSA albums to get now I've been introduced to so many new guitarists.

Zincmaster - Dopey - naughty but LMAO and thanks there are quite a few on that list that don't apply to me...hooray I'm not all grown up just yet!!

Cuthbert - thanks for the links. Oh well 1,555 to 1 against and falling...........Zaphod is just a pal

Peace&guitars - I totally and whole heartedly agree. I hate it when people fight, there is no need, it makes me sad, especially when you see it on here.

mthead101 - Really luv that word now, I would use it on here but I don't want to steal your thunder.

FabLawyer of SMB - Ohhhhh thanks so much, as you know I have many albums to get at the moment, but will take you up on it later, I've got all my posts and replies on a word doc so I will highlight your one and get back to you later thank you.

slanshroom - thanks for the explanation.

cheese101 - Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the floor!!!!!

By the way what exactly are Grammy's?

Hugs Satriella xx

VFR, hey dude! No problem man, I know you've had an intensely busy couple of months, and especialy with the time of year being what it is! My verdict was that the comparison was somewhat academic. Yes the 2wheel drive is undoubtedly going to be more fun, but I'd like to see a time trial of the two cars driving up the same mountain pass and see how much of an advantage the Carrera 4 has.

I'm not the biggest fan of Top Gear 'cause they really lack objectivity a lot of the time, but this weekend's was pretty good. I was amazed by the sound the Bugatti makes! With 16 cylinders in the back I was expecting it to sound fairly shrill and whiney like any V12 usually does, but it really did just sound like a pair of V8's!

Clarkson didn't mention anything about turbo lag...whereas in last month's EVO magazine they were suggesting that the Veyron is the world's most extreme supercar, but not the best performing. So many opinions, so little time! sorry dude, you got me started now! haha.

Satriella, you need to hear DT's Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence. It's 2 discs and it's really impressive. It's pretty epic, especially since the second disc is one single 45 minute song made up of movements that blend seemlessly.

cheese101: Happy to hear that your music collection is growing bigger and better, and on TBO.... What I like about them most is that they can be calm, peaceful and spiritual one minute, then heavy, melodic and energized the next!!.... They know how to ROCK in the holidays..Enjoy!....

....On that WIW light display.... That was amazing, and I can only imagine how long it took to prep that as it was perfectly synched to the music!.... Incredible, and I imagine their electric bill must also be incredible, lol!....

DAVEMETAL: Wow man, my condolences bro.... So sorry to hear about the loss of your son.... I'm sure JOE' music gives you the strength to carry on, and what a fitting tribute for your son.... God Bless and play on bro....

aussieRGman: Tell your neice we are pulling for her, and let her know she can live a normal life even with diabetes....

slanshroom: sure i could wake up at dawn, go to a job i hate......OR.....i could wake up at noon & learn how to play the sitar.... hahaha, LMMFAO bro, lol, that was great!!.... And I know what you mean about a break..It seems like that word should not be used in our dictionaries, ha, but stay kuul man, glad to hear your album is making great waves!!....

Guitarmiester: Let us know if you get the chance to see Matt and his band....

VFRrocker: What is UP dude!!.... Glad to hear you and yours are doing fine, and I'll get your new addy from ya so I can get this off to you.... Man..It's not like we have enough to handle already, lol, Christmas is right around the corner!!.... Take care Paul, and say hello to the fam....

Stevee T: WOHOOOOOOOO!!.... Greg' site is up to date!!.... And he got a haircut, lol, this is great news bro, I'm happy for him!.... And bro.... Maybe you could email me that little piece of info not heard yet, lol! ;-)

Prince Signs Deal to Release New Album

NEW YORK - Prince, who has put out most of his music on his own record label over the past decade, is aligning himself with a major label once again. The 47-year-old superstar has signed a deal with Universal Records to release his upcoming album, "3121," early next year. A press conference was scheduled Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Prince had a similar deal with Columbia Records in 2003; that label distributed his acclaimed comeback album, "Musicology," for NPG Records, Prince's label.

Also Tuesday, VH1 and its affiliated networks, including Tempo and VH1 Soul, are scheduled to premiere the singer's new video, "Te Amo Corazon (I Love You Sweetheart)," directed by Salma Hayek.

"Salma heard the song and came up with the original concept," Prince said of the actress in a statement. "Salma is the most thoughtful, attentive director I have ever worked with. An absolute joy."

VH1 will also make the song available on its Vspot broadband channel and VH1 Mobile

Pink Floyd's Gilmour gears up for solo album, tour

TORONTO/NEW YORK (Billboard) - Pink Floyd singer/guitarist David Gilmour will begin his first solo tour in decades March 10 in Dortmund, Germany, in support of his upcoming solo album, "On an Island." Although North American dates have yet to be confirmed, Gilmour is expected to visit the region in April.

Due March 6 via Columbia, "On an Island" is Gilmour's first solo release since 1984's "About Face." The set is packed with guest appearances from David Crosby and Graham Nash on the title cut, Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright, Robert Wyatt, Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera and Jools Holland.

Manzanera serves as a co-producer on the set with Gilmour and Chris Thomas. Orchestral arrangements were provided by composer Zbigniew Preisner.

In related news, Sony Music has bumped the release of Pink Floyd's "Pulse" DVD to January 31. The project, which chronicles Pink Floyd's final tour in 1994, was originally slated to arrive last week.

A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty,

He said..no.

She asked him if he would want to be with her forever....and he said no.

She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry, and once again he replied with a no.

She had heard enough. As she walked away, tears streaming down her face the boy grabbed her arm and said....

You're not pretty you're beautiful.

I don't want to be with you forever, I NEED to be with you forever.

And I wouldn't cry if you walked away...I'd die...

I've learned....

That life is like a roll of toilet paper

The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned....That we should be glad God doesn't give us

Everything we ask for.

I've learned....That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned....That it's those small daily happenings

That makes life so spectacular.

I've learned...That under everyone's hard shell

Is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved?

I've learned....That the Lord didn't do it all in one day.

What makes me think I can?

I've learned....That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned...That the less time I have to work,

The more things I get done.
