Hey supadave:

I would put the tubescreamer between the octave and the DS-1. Of course, experimenting is half of the fun, so don't forget to try different placements, but my gut tells me to put it before the distortion and after the wah.

"Guitar > Wah > Fultone Ulitimate Octave > Boss DS-1 > Whammy > Boss DD-5 Delay > Clean channel / Fender '65 Reissue Twin Reverb "

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful. 15 foot waves (a rarity here). Went down to the harbor had dinner while watching a fishing boat unload dozens of huge lobsters. Took a walk along the breakwater and watched some very good surfing. Got soaked by some refreshing waves. Loving my days off. And yes it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Good Morning Satchland...How R U Guys Today?

I want to thank all the well wishers for Cindy and I. You guys are great. She's doing great and looking forward to the Winter break. Hugs to all of you.

My heart goes out to the Dungy family. What a tragedy and so close to Christmas. Hug your loved ones.

Mari.....How are you? did you take delivery of Rock Zilla yet? I'm really excited about this line up and the possible addition of the keyboardist. Bonnamassa's current rhythm section is leaving. Kenny Kramme and Eric Czar are both leaving the band. They'll be replaced by Bogie Bowles (Kenny Wayne Shepherd) and Mark Epstein (Johnny Winter) for the next tour. That's sad ....they played so well togather. I don't what happened. Jason Bonnham will play drums for Joe's next CD. That's cool and I can't wait to hear that. Hugs to you.

Ovation 1.... You brought up an interesting point. Kong would also need a huge JSX amp. That also would be about 35' high with 4, 6' dia. speakers. I'm getting the vision of Micheal J. Fox in the opening of Back To The Future flying across the room when he hit the chord with Doc's super amp. That's some serious tone....lol.... Take care.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

Was just watching 'Reel Satriani', it's too short, I wish there was more on it. I'd like to see some more stuff like that from Satch, see what it was like recording an album, see how the songs started out and then how they changed. I think all of Satch's fans would enjoy another 'Reel Satch', but this time on DVD.

-Well, off to play some more guitar... I've been working on a song called 'confused' (the name may change slightly by the time I finish the song). The chords in the song go perfectly with the name of the song. Strange chords, timing, and a lot of other stuff makes the music sound just like the name of the song. I've been working hard on coming up with the guitar part for the verse, still working on it...the song is coming out just like I wanted, other than the verse giving me some trouble. Can't wait to get new stuff for recording, I'll be able to post up my songs for everyone to check out. I've been trying to get back into doing instrumental and finishing the instrumental CD I was working on, but I like working with a singer, especially if they have great lyrics. Off to try and get that song done. Waiting for my ToneBone Hot British pedal to arrive, it should be coming in today!

he most likely intimidates the girlies into the sack...
Ken Campbell - oh... my... god.... jeez, where you been bro...

there is in fact a better than fair chance that I'll find myself in DFW somewhere around late Jan / early Feb.......

YUMMY !!

Double-Mouthed Fish Pulled From Neb. Lake

LINCOLN, Neb. - This fish didn't have a chance. A rainbow trout pulled out of Holmes Lake last weekend had double the chance to get hooked: It had two mouths.

Clarence Olberding, 57, wasn't just telling a fisherman's fib when he called over another angler to look at the two-mouthed trout. It weighed in at about a pound.

"I reached down and grabbed it to take the hook out, and that's when I noticed that the hook was in the upper mouth and there was another jaw protruding out below," said Olberding.

He said in his 40 years of fishing, he's never seen anything like it.

Don Gabelhouse, head of the fisheries division of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, said a two-mouthed fish was new to him, too.

"It's probably a genetic deformity," he said. "I don't think there's anything wrong with it."

The second mouth didn't appear to be functional, Olberding said. He has plans for the fish, which don't included mounting.

"I'm going to smoke it up and eat it," he said.

Hey Joe...haven't posted on here in years. Been through college now and had a very interesting topic that you may be able to shed some light on. In my last theory class we talked about impressionism and 12 tone rows and matrices. Now, most people when they hear this music immediately shut it off. Here's my question....do you think that this is purely because humans were programmed that a tri-tone sounds horrible? or that a minor third sounds consonant? Is music purely what we've been programmed to like all this time? Its more philosophical i guess than musical, but an interesting topic, nonetheless...everyone speak.....
