Hey Joe, do yourself a favour for your next trip down under and check out Tommy Emmanuel. One of Oz's finest citizens and guitarists. Arguably none better in our little country....I'm pretty sure that you would love his music (and talent) Cheers

HI Joe and fellow guitarists,

Great job with your G3 tours......just one thing. I do have all G3 tour DVD's, but I noticed in all of them that in the jamming, always one guitar isn't as loud as the others. In the DVD with Eric, Steve's signal was not to clear to hear; in the DVD with Yngwie, his guitar it was hard to hear; and in the DVD with John, it was his guitar. I bet you all heard each other guitars in those jams, but on the recording for the DVD's, one signal isn't as loud as the other two guitars. Just something you perhaps like to check in the future tours. I don't know if anyone here has experienced the same in the G3 DVD's(?).

Best Regards, Pedro.

Hi Sweeties,

js1200js1000 - I can see why you want to get back to your toys, what's the point of having them all if your miles away and can't use them. Roll on February. About your girl....Sorry if I offended, I was on a silly roll, I am sure Joe will grow on her. And any woman with an ounce of sense would do all she could to keep hold of a lovely fella like you, so in reality I am sure your relationship will last, there are not that many good ones out there!!

Ovation1 - I'm sure you would take notice if a woman had sideburns like that!!! lol

peaceandguitars - the tail section.....old news! That thing is amazing though..on the lost website mysteries they have slowed it right down and it's incredible

cuthbert1776 - oooooooh I see, I'm sure I was the only person on here not to know that about 1776. Personally I look forward to when that will be the case for the whole world, not just america. with regard to the computer, my son is doing his mock exams at the moment and will soon be taking his exams proper, but he has a habit of staying up till four on the computer...it needs to be stopped for a while. I will have a look at the sites later thank you so much for your help.

Off to work I go...

L8r peeps big hugs Satriella xx

perezpedro - i think i know about whatyou mean about one signal being weaker than the other two.. i don't have every G3 there is, just the 96 and 03... i think the idea behind it is 1 guitar comes out of the left channel, then the other comes out the right, and the last is equalized in the mid.... just an idea though and i think it's true for the G3 96 thingy...

mikesb, that's pretty cool, thanks for sharing that. I really should read more of what's on Andy's site. I remember looking at the biography page and thinking "yeah, I'll come back and read that" and never got round to it!

cuthbert, going out and getting blind-drunk wasn't quite what I was thinking of, but thanks anyway! haha. NUVO is a cool site, wish there were more websites like that. It's so straightforward and sensibly laid out! The Musicians Bulletin Board is cool!
Satriella, thankyou, hug accepted and much appreciated! Big hug back at you! And thanks, it's just post-holiday blues really.....coming back from a holiday is always a clear reminder to me of all the things that p*ss me off about living in the UK!
Delfino, I know you said you're not really interested in videogame modelling, but Bizarre Creations are looking for new modellers! If you ask me, they need some new game concept designers or general managers or something, 'cause PGR3 is a massive let-down! But anyway, even though you should get your degree and do what you want to do, I just had to share it! hehe. Hope you're cool bro.....how's your aunt, if you don't mind me asking?
js1200js1000, hahaha, I'm sorry man.....if....if I can....ever....make it up to you man....I...I swear....I'll....I'll do anything man! hehe
marimariSRV, as far as I know the Crossroads festival is right in the middle of the peak season for flying so it would be super-expensive, but I'll let you know nearer the time!

As for NAMM, are you going again this year?! Awesome, make sure you hook up with Andy and Nuno, I'm sure they'll both be there. Nuno has new guitars to promote for Washburn so he'll probably be pretty obvious!

I've just got his month's Favored Nations newsletter.....can anyone tell me anything about Vernon Reid? Any good?
fizz450_03, I'm not sure I understand your Strat question.....are you saying the trem was removed and replaced with a fixed bridge?

And yeah, Trail Of Tears is addictive......it's amazing to hear the older stuff being played live on the Austin City Limits show, especially the vocal tracks!

Do you have Electromagnets? If not, you really should get it, you'll be amazed! It's EJ's first CD which came before any of his solo stuff. It's so good, and there's two live recordings on it which are just jaw-dropping!

matt king...good to hear from you...any albums to offer us, o rnew tunes on your site?

Zenfish...I suppose in a round about way, I mean life is what you make it....*)8.)

962..the cult of personality...not bad...if you like that kinda thing...

fizz...I think the trem needs to be just slightly above level...but I locked down my fender with a trem for more sustain...maybe some other peeps have some Fender Trem experience...? It's kinda of a complex equation (spring qty vs. spring tension vs string gauge) A knowledgable Guitar Tech/Luthier could fix it in 10-15 minutes or so! There are some sites that should be able to walk you through if you daring....lol

962 - Cheers for the info on the Dramagods CD! I've ordered it and am now sleeping under my letterbox waiting for it to arrive (not that I'm eager or anything!). Did you get the new G3 dvd from there or direct from Sony?

Vernon Reid - great player with the band Living Colour. Type has got a great riff and the remix version of Love Rears It's Ugly Head is an alltime fave as well. I saw him playing with Jace Bruce (of Cream) on Later...with Jools Holland a few years ago and he did a way over the top version of Sunshine of Your Love, absolutley awesome!

Ovation1, Mike the Megaton vid was great. It's good to see Nuno mixing the heavy riffs back into his playing again. Cheers for the tip off.

I've just ordered my first surround sound system so I'm looking forward to getting that set up and playing all my music dvds through it to check out the difference!

Right, I'm off to try and learn Eruption. I've got the first 3 notes, now for the rest.....

cuthbert1776 & All

Land of the "Free for All"

Right-wing rocker Ted Nugent says he's considering a run for the governorship of Michigan in 2010, after deciding to skip this year's race. "I could have won in '06," he asserts. "I figured the last thing I need with my [busy schedule] was the governor responsibility in a scrambling cleanup, damage-control situation, as Michigan is." As for the state's current governor, Democrat Jennifer Granholm, the gun-toting guitarist declares that she "is not doing an ugly job, but as the perfect woman, she is scrotumless."

Aerosmith Mötley Crüe tour

Aerosmith will hook up with glam-metal veterans Mötley Crüe for a joint tour later in 2006, Crüe frontman Vince Neil revealed in a recent interview. The singer added that his group would support the Rolling Stones on several European concerts in the summer.

Cliff, no problem dude, yeah I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of Dramagods too! It's gonna kick everyone's ass, I reckon!

I haven't actually got the new G3 DVD......is it available from Revolution then? I haven't been that bothered about it 'cause my feelings about Jon Petrucci are that I can take it or leave it, I'm not bothered. I will get it at some point though, just to add to the collection!

Surround sound will be cool, you'll enjoy it, especially on movies. The Matrix makes a real feature of it's use of 5.1, it's a great first-watch with a new system.

A word of warning though, don't get your hopes massively up for the music DVD's. A lot of them will seem pretty un-amazing because of their lack of use of 3D sound, but Vai's Live At The Astoria DVD is a real treat. In proper Vai fashion, he went to excess with the mixing and the 3D sound is excellent.
