Plum, Blue Collar is an excellent tune...... specially as the song sez "at 4:00 in the mornin'" People can trash Randy all they want, truth is there has always been a lot of jazz motif and cool chords behind his work...

I personally would love to see his Gretsch collection.. Supposedly the best collection in the world....

Yeah...that effect Eric is using sounds more like a whammy set to the octave up mode. I can come close to that sound with my FUO if I use the neck pick-up and have the tone knob at zero. But I also have the whammy, which sounds identical to Eric's sound on that song. My two cents......peace, SD

This is my 1st post. I am a big fan of the G3 (and Joe, of course.); and I wanted to ask if it is possible to see a G3 with Gary Moore in the future...

Hello Mr. Joe Was just working on this little jam I like to call gray headed granny, lol. Any way not sure why, but I started thinking how great it would sound with a few of your licks and tricks, but we can't have it all i guess. So hows it going? The DVD was great as always! So who and where is your next one going to be shot at, any ideas? Orlando Fl. would be a nice place hint hint, lol. So any thoughts on a change on the G3? I know once you have been with some one as long as you and steve have been together it would be kind of hard to replace the bond you to have. Well better get going thought I would send you a note while you were on my minds eye.

Take care my friend, give my love to the band!

PhryDom/SupaaDave, ok, it's a whammy then! haha. I thought it was a UO because that's what I thought it was on the album.......you mean even the album version of the "trade-off" is a digitech whammy?

I thought the whole lot was fulltone octave. Oh well, you do, at least, still hear a lot of it on the EOC album! Thanks for clearing that up gents :-)

Satriella- You may be able to tune in- apparently if you have RealPlayer on your computer then you can tune in there? It's BBCRadio Kent 96.7 FM anyway- Matt's supposed to be playing between 2.40 p.m. and 3p.m. :)

SteveeT- thanks for good wishes!

962- Thanks. Will give it a few days before I have a conversation with them I think!

Ovation- Yes listening to Satch always helps no matter what :)

DarkRipper- the Jason Becker link didn't work on my computer? I have a great DVD of JB- called "The Legendary Guitar of Jason Becker."

962 - nah man... i've got a tremolo arm with me, the one that WAS in the guitar, but it already REMOVED from the bridge and when i put it back in, it wont work... also, im asking about aftermarket parts coz some of the frets on my guitar esp those at the 9th are quite worn and the Gstring, 9th fret (E) is making this awful buzz. So i thought i had to get a new fretboard....

yeah i know what you mean, those fender copies are cheap, but I need (more like want) something made by Fender, you know to keep the "spirit" of the guitar....

- - - - - -

i'm going to ask around for Electromagnets. i think it sounds pretty interesting from how you put it "....rock-fusion like you've never heard" hehehe

fizz450_03, my recommendation would be that you actually get it re-fretted. This doesn't cost as much as you might think. And it's worth having all 21/22 frets done!

Yeah, Electromagnets is great. I often find fusion can be just completely lacking in melodic structure.......fusion doesn't have to be all about playing a load of jazz scales and diminished progressions. Eric Johnson isone of few fine examples of players who've managed to grasp this concept.

His Electromagnets stuff had all the happy melodic beauty that you'll be familiar with, but in a fusion context, so it came out pretty unique, and pretty awesome. And I know I said it already, but his tone was to die for. Actually his tone was just plain sexy. Haha!

Hey gang,

First and foremost, Joe and crew, if you read this, I just wanted to say THANKS for producing years of amazing music! Joe, your playing has inspired me since the day I first heard it, and I hope you continue creating for years and years to come! I'm your typical indie artist trying to make a name for himself, and just wanted to let you know that your music and success drives me to work at it constantly, every single day.

That said, I've got an 11 song instrumental disc being released next month... been working on it for about a year. I was hoping some of you guys and gals would check out my tunes and give me some feedback...

Hi Satchies,

962 - you got mail

Gotta have Joe - I totally agree with your sentiments about Joe on you last post and in your name...

peaceandguitars - there is a typical english attitude, stiff upper lip and all that, hey forget that...if you wanna talk about college to us then do it, it will help you deal with what your going through, it's a long haul to do on your own. Your a main man on here, we don't wanna lose you to depression!! I am sure if you have Raio/video you'd know it's very unique, mind you I don't have any of their albums so maybe it's not, but I just LUV it!! Go on see if you can do the aaaaaaahaaaaaaah bit without taking a breath, I can nearly do it now...can't sing the rest of the song afterwards but I'm determined to master it!!!! How sad am I :)

Fretrider - I love where I live, in the town but also in the country and not far from London...great. Wher abouts in London do you live? We have friends in Kingston, they used to live in Harlesdon, I stayed with them for the week there, it was most strange to be the only white person for miles!!! But I loved it cos I think coloured people are far better than us!! You only have to go to Notting Hill to see that!

ocps470 - hehe.Seriously though the paint job is superb, I'm not surprised you want it

civgeek - does that mean you've seen him play live then?

Big Hugs to all (especially canadians eh!!!) Satriella xx
