Tell-tale parrot exposes cheating girlfriend

Report: Ziggy squawked, ‘I love you, Gary,’ but his owner’s name was Chris

LONDON - Chris Taylor, a 30-year-old British computer programmer, grew suspicious of his live-in girlfriend when his pet parrot began to imitate her saying, “I love you, Gary.”

Ziggy, an 8-year-old African gray parrot, would also make kissing noises whenever the name Gary was mentioned on TV and would mimic Suzy Collins saying, “Hiya, Gary,” every time she answered her mobile phone.

Confronted with the evidence, Collins admitted to a month-long affair with a coworker named Gary and moved out of their shared Leeds apartment that same night.

“I wasn’t sorry to see the back of Suzy after what she did, but it really broke my heart to let Ziggy go,” Taylor, 30, told the Times of London in its online edition Tuesday. “I love him to bits and I really miss having him around, but it was torture hearing him repeat that name over and over again.

“Ziggy was one in a million; he was a loyal friend, and I have no doubt he was looking out for me.”

Taylor said Ziggy, who was named after a David Bowie song, has found a new home thanks to a local parrot dealer.

Collins, 25, told the newspaper she was staying with friends and said she shed no tears for the tell-tale bird.

“I’m not proud of what I did but I’m sure Chris would be the first to admit we were having problems,” said Collins, a call-center worker. “We had spoken about splitting up several times and I think it was inevitable.”

She added: “I’m surprised to hear he’s got rid of that bloody bird; he spent more time talking to it than he did to me. I couldn’t stand Ziggy, and it looks now the feeling was mutual.”

peaceandguitars..... Sean is web designer by trade. He works for a Co. as head web designer plus has his own Co. for side work. Sean will move to his own thing when the time is right. He doesn't have enough freelance work right now. The mural is freaking awesome isn't it. It really is a joy to be in the studio. We'll be launching the studio site in Feb. You'll be able to see the whole layout then. Thanks and take care.

Aaaaaaaagghhhh I hate feeling like this...OK had to get that off my chest?

962 - Your quiet? you OK? No answer to mail?

Keniko - I'm so sorry to hear the news, losing a friend in that way is gonna hit em' real hard, but way down the line, maybe it will help them to be really conscious on the road? With regard to Vision (why'd ya call im that?) ...well I know how you feel we've had four cats, but the first one we lost to an illness after we had nearly nursed him back to health and I can honestly say I've never felt so much pain in my heart...not even what I'm going through now feels as bad even though I've cried and cried the actual pain in my actual heart nothing like when we lost bear. So extra big hug to you, wish I could give it to ya in person!

death cube K - Yep that's the thingy

peaceandguitars - hey honey I don't really mind if you don't answer, but you don't have to be shy on here...as I said I'm just pleased your feelin good again..Nope I didn't get up 4 swimmin...I'll make sure I do tomorrow though..luv it!!! Daniel Powter..yep that's the chappy...wot u changed back 4?

DCslater - This was my first experience of any kind of chat..but the guys and gals on here are sooooo great, I don't wanna go anywhere else now anyway.

Gotta Go...Hugs Satriella xx

Keniko...got some cool stuff on the front burners...2 handed high speed technique (ala Greg Howe)...waiting for it to incubate for a proper hatching...soon to unveil, but not till it's polished....thanks for asking....sorry to hear of the ill wind that's blown through your life recently...

Stevee T, Cool!! One of my resolutions this year was to take some lessons (only had two in my life!!!) to expand my playing horizons and get out of the rut we can sometimes fall into, you know pickin up the guitar and playing the same ole stuff over and over etc?? Anyway, I found this local fusion dude and we are gonna try a couple of lessons and see what happens.... Pennsylvania was too far for me to go for lessons and now LA is just impossible LMAO!!

The dude I am gonna work with plays like Scott Henderson, Brett Garsed/Holdsworth so should be cool!!! I already owned one of his CD's and he is sending me his second plus a few demo tracks for his next one.. Should be cool!!

Satriella.....Well first off ...thanks for your concerns on my boys. I appreciate that. The silver lining here is Sean really learned how fragile life can be and totally understands now that he's a young man( 26 in Mar.)he has to be careful with his own life. They suspect alcohol was involved with this accident and that was also a very important lesson. Being a part of the wake he saw the pain the families were going through and told me point blank he'll never put himself or Cindy and I in that position. Lesson learned ....loud and clear ! ! ! Thanks GOD ! ! ! Finially.....Losing Vision was one of the hardest things to hit this family in long long time. I'm very proud at how Sean took it and mixed it all up to understand. He didn't take the usual " That could never happen to me " attitude. Also, Sean named his cat " Vision". He got him in the wild from a litter. Vision was only 5 weeks old. We had to feed him with an eye dropper. He was so tiny he couldn't go up or down our stairs in the house. My onther son Aaron went back to the litter and grabbed a female. Aaron named her " Snowy". She's doing fine but she's still trying to find Vision. She can't figuire out where he is. They were brother and sister for 15 yrs. So all is well. Life moves on but we miss him terribly. They are like children to us. Hugs.....

Edit.....Thanks SteveeT...... Life is a fragile thing. Best enjoy it ......and I do. I'm excited for the new SteveeT tune. I love your music. Sooths the soul. Thanks Bro. Peace.

Editx2.....Mikesb. Check out Brand X " Product" That cd has Phil Collins and Brett Garsed on it. Great tunes. Very Fusiony. Might be out of print?

Keniko, the guitarist for Brand X is John Goodsall. Brett was not on that record. My fave stuff with Brett is "Centrifugal Funk" (with Gambale and Shawn Lane and believe me Brett holds his own!!!) just listen to "Hey T Bone" from that CD...

His Quid Pro Quo and Uncle Moe stuff with TJ Helmerich

and last but not least the cool live solo on the "Guitar on The Edge" compilation, taken from believe it or not a Nelson concert!!!! Yes I am not kidding those blonde brat sons of Ricky Nelson!!!

You can check out the stuff Brett has done HERE at his website

You can actually listen to that "Nelson" solo on his site but it really only starts cooking at the point where he does some Angus Young riffing and then blasts off..around the 1:30 second mark, Cool solo.

js1200js1000, don't be so hard on yourself bro! We all gotta start somewhere, I've had to learn all this stuff too! hehe. Anyway, can you describe your level of understanding in terms of what you can read? Are you ok with reading chord charts and TAB? If you can give me a good idea of where your at with what you've taught yourself and what things you understand, and then give me your mailing address, I'll send you some stuff with diagrams that you can actually read.....trust me, it'll all make a lot more sense and you'll understand the intervals things like you understand tieing your shoe!

And thanks man, I appreciate your kind comments! I dunno....I was taught a bit of basic theory at college (it was about the only useful bit I actually learned) and then managed to work on it myself and figure out what it was all about. Advanced theory can get really sterile and it's ok to dislike it, but working on some basic theory/guitar theory is actually quite enjoyable, 'cause you can physically see the theory as you play it from fret to fret. Seriously man, I'd love to send you a bunch of stuff to give you a boost. I'm mostly self-taught and I know how useful it would have been for me to have been shown some stuff, just to have some pointers!

Blue Moon, yeah as I understand it that'd be a C 1st Inversion, as you've inverted it just once. 2nd Inversion would have been G C e.
SupaaDave, hey man, thanks for checking out The Jester, and for your kind remarks! I'm well pleased! haha. Anyway, I'm surprised....I dunno why but for some reason I assumed you were one of the theory gurus! My theory knowledge isn't nearly on the level of Clarky, for example, (and I'm sure Suzie has got to be pretty hot on theory too), but if I can help with anything I'll always give it my best shot!
Satriella, awww, thanks sweetie! For the extra special hugs I mean. But also for your continuing support....I've got to get some new stuff written, for you to listen to! hehe. I must admit though, I'm rather enjoying teaching "The Jester" to a couple of my students. Started a couple of them on Joe's Hill Groove the other day.....that's an awesome tune for teaching, it's got so much cool stuff in it!

I gotta say, "TITS" cracked me up so much....what a great acronym for a messageboard! Also, thanks for the e-mails. You got one back! Hugs :-D

gotta have joe, haha yeah I noticed. Yeah I'm allright thanks....quite busy and wishing I could go out and do more skiing, but I'm good. How are you?
LucySorets, muchas gracias! I'm really happy about all the comments I'm getting about the photos, including those from people here! Thanks for checking them out. Yeah Slayker is the most beautiful dog I've met, she's too adorable, and they're all just soooo friendly and happy to have people around! I really wish I could go back and go sledding again!

Anyway, what have you been busy with?

Glad you like the messageboard...all we need now is a 962 website to put it on!

DCSlater - Start racking up those posts...someone will always answer you...well most of the time anywayz

Keniko - Ahh poor snowy..that happened to our two cats too when Kat died Tiger was a bit lost without her. Like kids to us, you got that right, they are just as much a part of the family, although our children are sooooo special a real gift from god, a precious inheritance I think they are called somewhere in the big book!

Anyone going to the superbowl from on here..if you are I'll keep my eyes open for you...just wave a banner saying T2J!

Poor Bahduh had an accident, what's the worst accident anyone's had?

Mine was after I'd overtaken a huge lorry in a mini, there were two pheasants in the road, I swerved to miss them, got round OK but then lost control of the steering wheel..shot over the other side of the road, hit the curb, did a somersault and landed in a ditch full of stinging nettles...stupid things stung my legs...I've hated them ever since hehe not really I don't hate stinging nettles but the rest of it's true!

Hugs Satriella xx

DC Slater...... A link would be cool ! ! ! Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.

Satriella...... Coincidence. Cindy had a Tabby for 18 years and his name was " Tiger " also. She had him when we were just starting to go out with each other 28 yrs. ago. When we put Tiger down it wasn't long after that the boys came home with "Vision" and "Snowy". You know the rest of the story.

My worst accident was actually a blessing. Here's why. I was 19 yrs. old moving to Arizona to persue a Southern Rock Band. I had a job lined up and everything. I was going to stop in Denver to visit a girl I went to high school with. I fell a sleep at the wheel on I-80 and rolled my truck over. I broke my right femur bone, twisted my left ankle so bad I have permanent joint damage and Arthritus.Plus dislocated my right hip. I also smashed my face pretty bad. (Made an improvement...lol...) I was in a hospitol in Council Bluffs, Iowa for a month. I had a rod in my leg for three yrs. to mend the break. Therapy.... the whole nine yrds. Bottom line..... That happened so I could meet Cindy. If I'd made it to Arizona I never would of met her or had the boys. I couldn't imagine life without them. The Lord works in strange ways. I'm a firm believer in ....Shit happens for a reason and it's usually what's best for you even at the time you don't think so. Hugs. Sorry. Aren't you glad I gave you guys the short version....lol.... Hugs again. Raise your hand if you fell a sleep. Let see...1, 2, 3, 4, yeah I thought so...lol...
