Delfino, for what it's worth dude, I don't think you look like Jack Osbourne. For one thing, Jack Osbourne looks like a family-size twat.
Next person who tells you you look like a thinner Jack Osbourne, tell 'em they look like your rusty sherriff's badge, or something along those lines.

Hi,
i just wanted to know, where i can buy the "ROCK"-t-shirt Joe wears at the G3-Concert in Denver. You can see it on the live-dvd really good while he's playing "The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing". :)
Regards,
CAR

Stevee T- How's it going? I hope the New Year is going well for you. I have been so busy. I am finished with my third cd. I will be sending one your way. The mix is much better than my first two cds. I am in the middle of re-recording "Through These Eyes" and "Still Tryin." My Publishing Company is beginning to move along. So, like I said "Very Busy!" Keep in touch and let me know what you think of my new cd.

Plum Loco, I have two Lenny Breau pieces... Cabin fever (acoustic) and more recently i picked up the double CD "Live on Bourbon Street" from 1983/84. Lenny in a duo with a bass player using his custom 7 string axe. Hah people think 7 string is a new deal NOT!!!
Anyway Lenny smokes on that live release. Slanshroom is a big fan of Lenny.... He told me so
Wonder what became of Lenny's custom 7 string?? Randy Bachman would probably know, he was a huge Lenny fan and in fact produced all those post-humous Lenny releases. Cube might know too sonce both lenny and randy were originally Winnipeg boys

Rob310, the fulltone octave is also all over the Engines Of Creation album. There's some great examples of it on there, and you also get to hear Eric (Caudeux) using it on the Live In SanFrancisco DVD.
It's a cool sound.....it roars on the low notes and turns more dreamy/alien as you move into the upper register. I want one, it's such a cool effect. Joe has got to be the master at using this effect in a cool way.
I think Borg Sex is the track where it's most obviously used. But, you know, It's 25-to-two in the morning and I'm kinda tired, so I could be mistaken! hehe :-D

962 where d'you hear Eric use the UO on LISF? In the Borg Sex "trade-off" that's definitely not a UO - it's probably a Whammy.... I'm curious... ;-)

Yep Lenny roxx... a shame that some of the best have to leave so soon... just when they get started... of course with Lenny it was later found out that he was murdered excluding the fact that drugs were still found in his system... whatever the reason why some of the most talented die too early, it's still a shame to see that's for sure...
speaking of Randy Bachman.. I just recently heard "Blue Collar" on the radio... it's been years since I've heard that tune on the radio tuner... I'm sure there's alot of homage to the late Lenny Breau in that tune... I love Randy's taste in Jazz.. great stuff...
I've heard that Jazz in some cases can't truely be taught to anyone, it's something that you stumble on, or you learn by ear training what exactly fits... I've noodled and dabbled, and one day I hope I can play that stuff so fluidly...
ah well, back to noodlin...
peace

I admire your enthusiasm Kayla...
we're all fanatics over Joe in different degrees...
Joe has an amazing grasp in melody and how it all fits together in the grand scheme of things...

Plum, Blue Collar is an excellent tune...... specially as the song sez "at 4:00 in the mornin'" People can trash Randy all they want, truth is there has always been a lot of jazz motif and cool chords behind his work...
I personally would love to see his Gretsch collection.. Supposedly the best collection in the world....

Yeah...that effect Eric is using sounds more like a whammy set to the octave up mode. I can come close to that sound with my FUO if I use the neck pick-up and have the tone knob at zero. But I also have the whammy, which sounds identical to Eric's sound on that song. My two cents......peace, SD

Hello Mr. Joe
Was just working on this little jam I like to call gray headed granny, lol. Any way not sure why, but I started thinking how great it would sound with a few of your licks and tricks, but we can't have it all i guess. So hows it going? The DVD was great as always! So who and where is your next one going to be shot at, any ideas? Orlando Fl. would be a nice place hint hint, lol. So any thoughts on a change on the G3? I know once you have been with some one as long as you and steve have been together it would be kind of hard to replace the bond you to have.
Well better get going thought I would send you a note while you were on my minds eye.
Take care my friend, give my love to the band!
