Hey Joe, I just got the all clear to log on as a member a few hours ago and i was gonna ask a few questions. Have you ever noticed how some people that dont have any experience with an instrument take guitarists like yourself for granted?
I just hate it when i show some of my friends your songs and all they have to say is "yep, sweet do you have any Green day?" or somethig like that. I mean not to offend anyone who likes Green day here but i think everyone should realise how great a player you are with a guitar. I have already gotten some of my friends into buying your albums.
I remember buying your first DVD which was "Live in San Francisco" and I have updated your songs from before 2001 to "Is there love in space" And I have yet to own G3 Live in tokyo.
I got another question Are you still connected to Kirk Hammett?? I mean you tour G3 with Steve Vai and John Petrucci , but i havent heard of you having anything to do with Kirk or am i missing something? It would be tops if you could reply because i would really like to see your opinions about the matters.
Live on forever Joe

hey guys,
badmamajama - i checked out ur music and it was pretty good. i liked 0201 am a lot. u have used slides so well.
dc slater - Ur music was awsome too. The ending riff in eagles was pretty good. and the day dreamer is commendable!!
Man i have been playing the guitar for 2 yrs now and guys like u really make me feel more entusiastic about playing.
I have a Johnson-Axl Del Mar Std. guitar. It doesnt have a tuning lock. I was hoping if u experienced guys cud tell me how to tie the string so that it wont get off tune easily when i use the vibrato. Especially the first 4 strings coz they easily get off-tune.
Thanks a lot.
u can mail me at envy_girish@yahoo.com
PS::: keep making the good music u make!!!!

Yeah Joe...
I've always liked your music videos, I know it costs a bundle to make something that might not regularily be viewed on MTV or Much Music whatever other music tv station will show, but it's fun to see you impliment a mood into your songs with vids...
I can tell you I remember a vid not a whole lot of people have seen... Years ago when I was watching MuchMusic you were promoting your Time Machine CD and you had a vid of "All Alone...
You were in a beat up old appartment or hotel playing away on a Tele-style Ibanez, you hadn't shaven in days lettin er rip, and you got the girl a couple of doors down all hot and bothered...LOL
she even gave you a call... Are you the guy with the guitar??
You know my neighbour said that to me once too, problem was she was about 20 years older than me and looked like she'd been run over by a dump truck dressed in a bright orange Moo Moo...
hehe
Loved It.... great vid...

al baby, another night of 5 hours sleep - no good. At least you don't feel like an old dishrag. I promised myself I would be off at 12 last night, so I almost missed it too. Good thing I'm a slow story teller and just happened to be poking around with T when he showed up. You'll get your chance, but sleep is goooooooooood... and I love you too :-)
Satriella, it really does break your heart when you lose a kitty. I still can't believe Moey is gone, but he is. He had such a personality. That boy was a comedian, I swear. Funny to hear about your best man Moey, but I would put the word "alleged" in front of that. lmao!
Mikey, playing in Denver is going to be tough, but I have high hopes (no pun intended). It would be great to watch a Super Bowl where I actually LIKE one of the teams. lol! Sorry about the Pats. So close, and yet so far. The kids are excited to go kitty hunting. We all are really. Alex is such a cat guy. lol! I keep telling Stew that he's going to get a new brother, so he better straighten up and fly right. lol! I also keep asking Moey to guide us to the right one. I know he will. Hugs to Cookie and the family D.
I need coffee.....

Good morning all,
This week has been a nightmare... I'm SO behind on sleep. Killing me... but anyways, hope you're all doing better than I am right now.
ovation1 - Thanks again for the support, brother!! I'll be sure to post the CD release info on here as well as my own site. Hopefully everybody else is cool with that. : )
Satriella - Yeah, don't get me wrong, Steve is a really nice guy and very talented, but I'm just a much bigger Satch fan and Satch's music has been much more influential on my own playing style than Steve's. I'm really not sure if he's ever posted on his site. I know he definitely hasn't in the forum I was in, but there are about a dozen on there, so maybe he has. I honestly haven't checked.
alter_ego_of_joe - Hey man, thank you very much for the compliments!! I love getting feedback from people... good or bad (although I prefer the good... LOL).
As for your question, I assume you're interested in a double locking system, meaning the guitar has a locking mechanism where the neck meets the headstock, and at the tremolo. Your best bet is to look into buying a guitar that's been manufactured like that... check out Ibanez and Jackson guitars on musiciansfriend.com... there are a lot of the kind you want from those manufacturers. You could also go to a luthier and ask them what it would cost to convert your existing guitar, but that may cost a lot more than just buying a new one. Another thing, use at least 10 gauge strings... 9's tend to go out of tune very quickly (at least with the way I beat on them), even with the double-locking system. Hope that helps... if not, let me know and I'll try to clear things up for you. Thanks again!

Michelle, when acquiring a new feline, how do you ensure that the chosen critter will tolerate music at an ear bleeding volume?? Like say a child practicing bass guitar or Pantera housekeeping music? Just wondering....
Good luck on the search...

alter_ego_of_joe - Another thing I just thought of... you can try tuning your guitar a whole step down and then throwing a capo on the 2nd fret... I've never actually tried something like that, but it might work... it's definitely the least expensive of the options I gave you. Maybe someone else has a better idea.
