People, I appreciate your support of what I did...but it was still wrong to rant at the organizers..
Fretrider - I deserve any comeback I get - but that was a very sweet thing to say..thank you.
Naty - sorry to hear you had a rough time.
962 - No dude wouldn't be good either...heres an idea why not call me.....Satriella
Anyone know how Bahduh is doing...if you see him tell him we are still missing him in here and we hope he is on the mend!
Hugs Satriella xx

It's just a hobby. The JS6 was actually my third build from scratch so I had a little bit of experience under my belt. It's a ton of work, but very rewarding when you plug in and rock! Especially when it's a JS. As you know, the mahogany is very warm sounding and the hardtail bridge adds to the sustain as well. It's a great sounding combination. I'd love to compare it to a real JS6 one day. I got into the JS6 after seeing Joe play his Mohog in the Extremist video (on The Satch Tapes). Thanks for the kind words.
Civgeek:
Cool, you know the Bay Area! Of course I'm very familiar with Hayward too. I drive through it every day on my way to work (I work in Foster City, just over the San Mateo Bridge). Yes, it has been raining a bit here lately. But, as you know, January is a big month for rain around here. You're right about the amount of rain too. When it rains it really rains around here. Thanks for checking out the JS6.

And where does the inspiration for your music come from?
Joe Satriani :I'm just inspired by everyday life. I find it very wondrous. There is so much to reflect upon, to write about, to dream about, and to hope for.
I only really play what I'm really passionate about. I don't just sit down and write an album. I can't work like that. My heart wouldn't be in it. I don't think a note would come out.

Hey all,
marimariSRV - I'm near Wayne, NJ - if you know where that is... northern Jersey, about 30 miles from the City. Hey if you're ever around, come check us out... I have my original thing and I'm also in a cover band that should start gigging this summer.
alter_ego_of_joe - No problem, man... glad I could help! Just one thing, when you're playing in the upper register, you can get away with using your ring finger up there. The frets are more narrow and naturally, there's less room for your hand. I tend to play more legato style in the low to mid range, but when I do go high I use my ring finger because it's just easier. That's just a preference so I'd say do it if you feel more comfortable that way. Just don't do it all over the neck... that's bad news.

Hello Joe world!Thank you for the kind comments on my playing and instruction. Its good to know ive helped so many people with my dvds. The sales of my dvds are going great, thanks in part to the great feedback i have been receiving on various websites.Ive just finished my first solo album and should start getting back out on the live circut here real soon after taking some time off for the holidays and family issues.I recently met up with mr.Satriani and gave him a copy of my record, and hopefully i can get myself in a possible touring situation with him, well see what happens.Anyways.my fourth dvd will be ready for release in the summer so check the website for updates and tour dates also, until them keep shreddin!

Ah i see there is productive posting going on today then lol...
Did anyone go to NAMM this year? Ibanez put out an 8-string to see how much attention it would get...I'm not sure there is much of a market for them, but still would be cool to own one lol.
