82DeanZ I believe that part is on the high E string between the 3rd and 6th frets to begin with and then the 7th fret is added, there's no 8th fret...it's just a simple blues scale

A cowgirl, who is visiting Texas from Arkansas, walks into a bar and orders three mugs of Bud. She sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When she finishes them, she comes back to the bar and orders three more.
The bartender approaches and tells the cowgirl, "You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it. It would taste better if you bought one at a time."
The cowgirl replies, "Well, you see, I have two sisters. One is in Australia, the other is in Dublin. When we all left our home in Arkansas, we promised that we'd drink this way to remember the days when we drank together. So I'm drinking one beer for each of my sisters and one for myself."
The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there. The cowgirl becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way. She orders three mugs and drinks them in turn.
One day, she comes in and only orders two mugs. All the regulars take notice and fall silent. When she comes back to the bar for the second round, the
bartender says, "I don't want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my condolences on your loss."
The cowgirl looks quite puzzled for a moment, then a light dawns in her eyes and she laughs.
"Oh, no, everybody's just fine," she explains, "It's just that my husband and I joined the Baptist Church .... and I had to quit drinking."
"Hasn't affected my sisters though."

Hi Joe.
My 11 year old son says bring the G3 tour with John Petrucci to England. And I agree!!
I'm going to buy the G3 Live in Tokyo DVD when I'm in the States next week (it's cheaper!)

mthead, cheers for checking out my tuens bro! and thanks for you kind comments, I'm glad you liked what you heard!
Satriella, oooh the cat picture - "I've gotta cut back on the caffeine" - really freaked me out! haha. And the car with the shopping trolley rammed in the back of it was pretty hilarious!
js1200js1000, ah man it's easily possibly to get really silly about gear! As long as you have fun with what you've got that's the main thing, although you will have an absolute blast if you get a JSX! I know I've mentioned it a few times (!) here before, but I do recommend putting a THD Hotplate on your list. It allows you to run the amp hot to get the best tones out of it, but keep the volume nice and low so you don't annoy everybody and make yourself deaf! It'd definitely be a good thing to have with a JSX!
DC Slater, thanks for looking at my stuff! I really appreciate all the feedback I get from you lot, and it's great to hear that people like it!
alexandre, hey hombre! Yeah I'll be rocking out for weeks thanks to this new Dramagods album! Are you a Nuno Bettencourt fan (you'd better be, he's portuguese! haha)? I know it's about time I shut up about what a god he is, but I'm sure Mikey D (ovation1) will back me up on what an excellent album Dramagods: "Love" is!
Hope everything's cool with you bro. Take it easy, and rock on!

yeah, i haven't read the rest of the posts.. haven't been here in QUITE some time. Anyways, i can read tabs, but the best way, i find, to learn new material and for it to sound like YOU and not the pesron your trying to mimic, is to memorize them. It'll be hard at first to memorize it, but trust me, it get's a lot easier. I can memorize something like a whole song (3mins) in about 2 hours and be able to play 85% of it near perfect(most songs by eric johnson, or joe satriani, or other people). You really do develop your own unique sound and you don't sound like everyone else. Well.. i'll post back later once ive read the rest of the post.. don't really know who i was referring this post to but yeah.. if you guys want tips on how to get started, i can try to give you some advice.

Blue Moon How is the harmonizing with the Boss PS-5? I used to have the old Boss HR-2 Harmonist, but sold it a few months back. Thinking about getting the PS-5 in case when I start playing live I can't find a 2nd guitarist, especially if he won't be able to get the timing or harmonizing as a whole down good enough.I don't need it for the whammy features, I've been using the Digitech Whammy for a while, pretty much just use the up 1 & 2 octave features. Not sure if I'd really want to buy another harmonizer, some of my harmonies aren't all in the same interval (3rds, 4ths, 5ths, etc...) You most likely know what I mean, you probably know most of the possibilites of harmonizing.
