Mikey, cool videos! I forwarded Mangini to my husband and kids. Both my kids have friends who are drummers and dig Vai. Ya gotta school 'em to drummers past :) Dave has always like EJ, and since he's getting back into playing guitar, he really digs these instructional vids to help with his chops.

Satriella, thanks for the kitty picture links. I just saw them last night. I'm still 13 pages behind. Right now my kitties are running around playing grab-ass. The little one is pretty smart. When he's had enough, he hides under my desk where the biggin' can't fit. lol! Funny little boys they are. My husband says that they sleep all evening when he's home with them. He'll see them in action this weekend. lol! As for pictures of the cats, I saw you posted your email addy. I could send you some this weekend if you want. I don't have a link to a site for them. I'll put something in the subject so you know it's me.

Alley baby, what's this about waking up early and exercising? Now you've gone to far. Come back to the dark side! LOL!! Just kidding Mc, go on with yer bad self! We'll see you on the weekends.

Hi Lucy :-) The DP show looks like it was a LOT of fun!

Tune & Keniko - Happy birthday!!!

Hi Satch fans,

Well i have to say I'm disappointed in you! Here is me telling my friend what a lovely bunch of welcoming people you are and no-one has said hello...c'mon what's up with you all...His name is Sonny!

Sonny - While we are on the subject of disappointment....get yourself a cool nickname I said and what do you come up with?......your name...c'mon you can do better than that! Well done for finally making it to the site...you will be addicted in no time!!

YES went and ordered the new album yesterday just before I had my hair chopped and the blokie (as I was excitedly jumping up and down) said I could have any posters that came in too.....RESULT

Ovation 1 - Oh shame, though I was finally seeing what you looked like...never mind...I'm sure you are much better looking than that hehe...anyway thanks for the links...that you kid with the hat...what's his name twofish or something...he is incredible! I love that tune..I think you should all learn to play it, post your renditions on here...then we will have a guitar battle!! Thanks for the pic..I will see what it turns out like enlarged..it could be good!

gotta-have-joe Oh indeed every day is a Joe spaz attack day! Yep good old pencil and paper you can't beat it, although I do tend to use an artists pad just cos the papers thicker! I've just finished John Wayne....now I'm onto Michael Hutchince from inxs then I will have another go at Joe.

Guitarmeister - Great you got so much to look forward to! And yeah SFAM is an absolutely fantastic album...I still can't believe 962 just gave it to me...he must miss it..surely I think tracks 5-7 are my favourites but the whole thing is just fantastic...I have to admit some of their other stuff I can't get into as much but I do LOVE SFAM.

Mthead101 - I think your a little confused its a picture of JOEs face I want not yours! hehehehe But your artwork is cool!

Phyrdom - :)

njbeast - No I didn't mind that you didn't answer my question, but I'm not surprised your down...it's horrible waiting for things!

Lucy - Thanks for the pic I will try to see what it's like blown up...trouble is you tend to lose the detail and it's the wrinkles etc that make a person...by the way did you email me the other day...ummmm I deleted...then I thought "Oh maybe it's Lucy from T2J...send it again if it was and sorry i deleted you

Michelle - 13 pages is a lot to catch up on...you just can't get behind on here can you...fatal...Yep I would Love to see pics of Sully great email away sandyjw95@hotmail.com

peaceandguitars - hello my nutty friend....happy 300th post...may you have many more and may they all be happy!! Yeah wouldn't mind giving Daniel Powter a listen...cool

Stevesat - don't panic you will no when it's Joe cos his is the only post that comes up in bright blue OK!

Blue Moon - How's the photgraphy going...thought of you Monday morning when I went swimming...the moon was a perfect crecent...although not blue

962 - Are you OK............I'm getting worried about you now!!???

Hugs Satriella xx

Hi Joe, I'm a new member on this site and would first like to thatnk you for this forum and for you accepting my membership. I would also like to ask permission to use one of your songs on my "myspace" page(www.myspace.com/upward123). The song I'd like to post is "HOME" from your album "JOE SATRIANI". I'd be willing to pay a fee if required. That song best expresses "home" to me and I can't think of any better way to complete my myspace page than with your song. I've been playin guitar since I was 10 years old 38 years ago and have been a fan of yours ever since your debut. Thanks -Mike

cheese101 yay! finally someone agrees with me on that song! i've posted comments on it and said stuff about it in the chat saying how cool it would be if joe played it live for us (and put it on a DVD) but noone ever said anything about it and then you just randomly post that you think the song is amazing and joe needs to play it live....10 points for you cheese!!

Mr. Satriani

I ve been a big fan of your's like everyone here for a long long time. Your one of the greatest guitar player's that god created and also ive been a collector of Guitar magazines. GuitarSchool , Guitar For The Practiceing Musician, and Guitar World my favorite. I have qiute a few issues with you on the cover and now the next one with you is about to arrive soon.

I know 2 great men that work for this magazine. Mr. Paul and Mr. Aledort. Andy and i talked about how he was at your home doing the interview and what to expect in the issue.

What's it like haveing to do the interview's for Guitar World , and what's all involved in getting it all put together. This will be one of your biggest issue's with them and also do you ever buy them once in a while ?

Alot of us cannot wait to see this new issue about you from Guitar World. Thank you Joe from all of us for everything throughout the year's and all the lesson's and tableatures.

Keep rockin em Joe !.....Randy

Satriella, haha, yeah I guess I could give that a try....playing Hill Groove on the phone, I mean!

update: Oh I tried checking out the youtube video you posted a link to. After 15 minutes of loading the page on my crappy dial-up connection I have to confess I gave up.

MasterYoda, haha, yeah I think I also misread his tab! I honestly went more with the tab than the actual notes 'cause I happened to have a guitar handy, but looks like I screwed it up anyway. However, thanks, I appreciate your point....largely 'cause of the concise explanation......It's something I've tried to explain to a few students and it usually takes a while for them to get their head round it!
tune, hey happy birthday for yesterday! Sorry I wasn't around to send you best birthday wishes on the right day! Anyway, hope everything's good with you, it's good to see you back here!
sonnywillats, hey, welcome to t2j! So come on, tell us all the gory details; what's your favourite tune of Joe's, how long have you been a fan, what kinda stuff are you into?! :-]
ovation1, ooh yeah Mike Mangini is a pretty special player as drummers go - have you seen the video for "Hip Today" off Extreme IV? It's a great video and you can just tell it's Mike's drumming all over it, it rocks.

Virgil Donati and Gregg Bissonette are probably the two that realy get me going. Oh but then Simon Phillips' contributions to Andy Timmons' stuff is amazing, not to mention his cool work with Joe and Toto.

Oh and then there's the sheer joy of watching Jeff drumming on Live In SanFran and G3 '96 - he always looks like he's having such a good time playing with Joe! Oh I can't decide, but Virgil's got such beautiful expression, so he usually tends to hover at the top of my list!

By the way I did manage to get a look at the Eric Johnson video 'cause it was nice and short, and to be honest....well, you know me, I'd wait a lifetime to see an EJ video load. He is just awesome.....there's no way I'll ever be able to articulate all the things that amaze me about his music.
