Thanks for the wishes.

The music industry - I am all for artists to make a buck - and this iTunes (ect) industry is pretty cool - easy to get the music and the artist makes a buck still.

962: lol bro, the last studio album Pablo recorded w/ Mr. Big was Hey Man in '96, and it was during that time and after that Paul made KOC.... After that, the Big crew picked up Mr. Kotzen, lol, and recorded a few more albums.... Oh, and Mr, Kotzen is another phenom!!....

BTW, this review I found on amazon (for Burning Organ) sums up Pablo the best way I can think of: Paul Gilbert makes fun out of simple rock songs with terrifying guitar solos. The beginning of track "My Religion" shows what he came for: a sequence of arpeggios with tapping that is so clean and pretty it makes you hit the "<<" button of your CD player to hear it over and over. Really amazing.....

Oh, and Amen bro on your thoughts of the DramaGods album!! :-)

njbeast: Brotha, I told ya!! :-) Webmaster Jon Luini thank you.... Thank you for everything, and thanks for trying your best!!.... :-)

peaceandguitars: Hang in there bro, we're rooting for ya!!....

Keniko: The mind is a terrible thing to waste......Isn't it?...lol.... .... LMAO bro, I feel the same way! ;-)

Super Colossal for G3!!

Howdy People!

Good to see the T2J CD finally coming out :-)

Good to see Joe's new CD coming out.

Dave Separated by oceans and thousands of miles the telepathy goes on....... I checked out the availaility of 'Blackout in the red room' and 'Wasted in America' about three days ago and was pleasantly suprised to find that they were both re-released in 2005 (March and Sept if I remember). Classic albums - they should have been huge.

Can't post to all so 962, Cube, Slansh, 'Chelle, Naty and Mikey 'Hi Guys!' Simon sorry I don't get round to hooking up with you and Mikey I haven't forgotten about the DVDs.

Anybody in here noticed that Andy Timmons 'Cry For You' on the Bootleg DVD is filmed at the 90th Anniversary Ibanez gig from a different camera ?

SOTD - Orion - Metallica (mainly because I just can't get my fingers around the 4/4 - 6/8 timecahnge lmao)

Take care folks.

btw NJbeast, nice to see you come out of the shadows bro'

re: iPod case

How about - failure to adequately warn, improper instructions, negligence.

It may be a stretch. Even though Apple warned him - maybe they didn't warn him enough, or instruct him how to properly use the head phones, or provide information as to how loud the sound can be and what type of damage can result (in a short amount of time).

"The scroll bar is on the right hand side of the browser window, boys."

I don't want to start a flame war here, so I'll be done with this after this post, but under this logic, I should just post random spam here, because if people don't wan to see it, they can just scroll through it.

Zinc Master - it appears that you are sincere about posting info for others to see. That's great. I would suggest, however, that you start your own blog. You can get a free one from http://blogger.com/ or http://wordpress.org/. Heck, I might even read it, but I don't want to see general news here, and certainly not so much of it.

Having said that, this is just my opinion. Perhaps other people get their interesting general news from Satriani.com courtesy of you? Maybe a good compromise would be to just link out to the article, like most blogs do anyway...

SupaaDave - thanks. I usually pop back and post in when a new album is in the works, at least, though I do always lurk quite a bit... BTW, is DoTheStu still around?

Dave

2005 Mensa winners

The Mensa Invitational once again asked members to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are this year's {2005} winners:

1. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with.

2. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

3. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

4. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting sex.

5. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period.

6. Giraffiti: ! Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.

7. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

8. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

9. Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.

10. Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit.)

11. Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth plodes and it's like, a serious bummer.

12. Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.

13. Glibido: All talk and no action.

14. Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

15. Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web.

16. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

17. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating.

And the pick of the literature:

18. Ignoranus: A person who's both stupid and an asshole.

Civgeek: I've never had that problem. I've had my JSX for about a year, and I did immediatey swap the EH tubes for JJ tubes. I run the master at 10 when I play the amp, and never blown the tubes. This can't be joes problem because the stock JSX comes with EL34's in it, but some folks have been retubing the JSX with E34L's (an EL34 variant that has more robust bass end and pulls more current I think). Some of the folks that retubed with this tube have actually blown the screen resistors in the amp. I think Peavey has been putting stronger screen resistors in the second run of JSX's because of this, but this could be what you are hearing. So if someone tells you their JSX blew up, ask thm if they were using E34L's.....as far as I know, the original JSX's were built to run 6L6's and EL34's..and E34L's are pushing it a bit.

gruskada...... Perhaps other people get their interesting general news from Satriani.com courtesy of you? Yes, I do(of coase not all news) and Yes it's your own opinion and mine is I enjoy Zinc's news flashes and I've thanked him as always for doing so. I'm not defending Zinc (cause he don't need me to do that) This is just my opinoin. Zinc...I say keep em' comin'. BTW..... A really good reason to keep Zinc's news flashes is sometimes it promotes discussion among us that we would never discuss otherwise...ie.....Hey did you hear about such and such? Unless it's world news or a recent tragedy, we'd never bring up the subject or have a discussion about the news that Zinc posts. End of rant......Thanks.

zinc, you trashy post whore you! lmao! Always something good in your post purges, and if not, I just do a blow by and figure it might be interesting to someone else. Good stuff, and always good jokes. Happy Groundhog Day :)

I can understand why some ppl get upset, but zinc always sends interesting info out, and never spams just for the sake of spamming. He's not asking Joe for a guitar or repeating "Come to Wisconsin!" a thousand times. lol! Take it light peeps.

Happy birthday Matt Lonsberry!

From the article - not so sure he did suffer a hearing loss - may suffer a hearing loss.

Speculation?

Apple now has deep pockets - people will line up, with hand out, demanding cash now.

I wonder if people who have been robbed/injured due to their iPod have sued Apple - Hey your products are too popular and I got hurt/robbed using it

Just and idea - if anyone wants to run with it - ok by me.

Keniko, michelle, cuthbert1776 & all

Keniko, michelle, cuthbert1776 thanks for the kind words.

I thought this was part of the site " will always be free-form, and open comments and ideas etc" (from a recent post of Joe).

Somedays I have lots I find interesting to share. Other days nothing.

Somedays I have lots of jokes to share - but lately the pipeline has been kinda dry for jokes.

As I have stated before - sorry if I offend or make you need to skip my post.

I skim a lot of posts here - if a post does not trip my fancy - I go on. If it is interesting, I read on. If I am really touched - I will put my 2 cents in, like many do.

Feel free to tell me to stop the posting - I will read it, maybe like today there was a lot of posts - but today, there was a few things I wanted to share.

A blog - an interesting idea - something to consider for some day when I have tons of free time. Unfortunately, lately free time is a little scarce.

Could I simply post the hot link for the site - sure. But then, how many will actually link to it and read it?

We need to be well rounded individuals, exposed to the world - not just US news, or Joe news, or music news. Can you get that news on your own - of couse - but do you?

We have members here from all over the world.

Not that long ago - because of a post of mine on the WWE (wrestling), if found out badhuh (sorry if i got the spelling wrong - it was from memory Mark) was a fan of WWE wrestling - something I didn't know. Now my world is a little smaller.

I will try to take to heart the comments - but if I think it is worth sharing I will.

Still rockin in the free world (even if I have to pay for it)

I think you need to call the company to get access to the information - they determine how much you have, then set the price (all that you have).

That is possible, since Lexis is involved: big company = big charges.

Something to keep on file - never know when it may be needed.
