Seeing the news just made my week!
Dave Larue has no equal when it comes to playing bass in any sort of ensemble.(Of course, Manring and Wooten are king in the solo instrument medium, but...)
Cannot wait for the tour!

Hello Joe, I have just started listening to your music(the G3 2003). Your first 3 solos just finished and i didn't understand what happened. How can a man play with such speed, accuracy at the same time with heat touching melodies. I want to play those numbers but i just can't pick up a single bar so how can i develop my playing. Is it just by practise or practise in some kind of ways????? I don't expect a reply from you as youare so busy but if possible just give a small reply. bye. Riju

Interesting JS reference in fiction:
I was reading "Monster" (1999) by Jonathan Kellerman and was taken by surprise when on page 300 (paperback version):
"She'd looked tired, soaked in the tub while I drove into Westwood to get pizza. I took the truck, playing JOE SATRIANI very loud. Not miniding the traffic, not minding much of anything at all."
Jonathan Kellerman is a rather accomplished author of psychological thrillers and a smattering of non-fiction work and children's books for those who are not familiar with his novels...
Anybody else notice anything like this before???

To clarify... "I need Tracks" I mean from Super Colossal.
I, of course, already put in for the pre-order. It's never a gamble, when it's Joe's music but, It would be cool to hear some clips anyway. Great to hear that you're on the road soon Joe! I'll be looking for the Seattle gig. Will there be the Goid/Platinum packages? Don.

How do? I think it's been about 6 months since I was able to log on last. Okay, so Internet is available to me again such that I'm not just limited to email now.
New CD coming soon? Interested in hearing it.
Good to see a lot of familiar names! T2J running as normal?

Hey all. What a couple of days I've had...
On Wednesday night I played a show in Birmingham at the ICC. It was some NHS Conference, andI'd never met the other musicians before in my life - except for the drummer, who turned out to be my brother!!! lol. It was also a sight reading gi, and some of it was a proper roast; seat of the pants stuff. Still, we got treated like royalty - had a dressing room each and stuff, loads of free food, coffee, water, and beer - and then I got paid £150 cash in hand. Great stuff. Since it was an NHS conference, however, I was worried that when I got there I'd have to wait around for five hours only to be told that there wans't actually anyone available to listen to me... lol
Since I was so far from home I figured I'd crash at my bro's flat in North-West London, and then get up bright nd early to go teach the following morning. So we got in at half three in the morning, and I had to get up at six in order to make it to Heathfield - which is an hour's drive form my home town, but in the opposite direction!! - for ten o'clock. Three cans of Red Bull laters and I just about made it, thankfully...
Then I had band practice for a gig that was suposed to happen last night, but never did because our other guitarist's dad got rushed into intensive care and stuff. He has cancer and had clean run out of white blood cells, so he had to have an emergency operation. So, naturally, we cancelled the gig. About four hours before it was due to start!!!!! Nothing else could have been done about it though - just one of those annoying curve balls life throws us. The worst part, apart form James' dad still being critical, is that it was going to be James' last gig with us so were going to give him a good party-style gig. Can't be helped I suppose.
And now we're at today, when the auditions for th new RECOIL guitarist are due to start and someone's already phoned me to cancel. Said they're joining the RAF so wouldn't be ableto commit to the band for long term anyway, and didn't want ot mess us around; obviously totally oblivious to the fact that it's exactly what he has done!!!! lol
Nevermind, I guess I'm having a pretty easy time of it when you think about what James and family must be going through right now. To inappropriately quot Spinal Tap, "It really puts things in persepctive, don't it?" "Yeah, too much fucking perspective!"
