meandmrvai - Yeah, man Wes rocks (or rather, he jazzes... lol). I think jazz sounds awesome on the guitar, personally; what makes you think it's not a jazzy instrument?

Clarky...I kinda guessed it would be more....judging by the price difference....
Rob310...some many guitars....sooo little money...lol
death cube k....I thought there was a correlation...just hadn't done the homework yet to check the differences...I like the idea of the floor model...but with more routing option...looks like a combo of both would work nicely....just need $$$
The TC Electronics floor/rack unit looks real nice + expensive too!......thanks for the clarification!
ovation 1 ...I'll be sure to give you a critique of the show...thanks for the Eruption clip...EVH...very nice indeed....

I just bought "Rush - Live In Rio" off Amazon...It got recommended to me by a mate...and then when I was looking at the DVD in HMV a guy I didn't know started talking to me about it, saying how good it was so I thought...hmm may as well buy it, but I'm not paying that much for it, got it for £8 in the end. Not bad.

I like this part of Indiana (NW Ind). Close to chicago, we have the lake, the beaches, the casinos, the steel mills, the poluted air, poluted water, the heavy traffic, trains, trains, trains, the strip joints, weather (hot in summer, can be cold with lake effect snow in the winter) lots of good concerts to go to.
Hum - some good and some bad.
Overall, I like the area too.
West Lafayette is a nice place - Purdue all the way.

Zen, the message says that your e-mail is 12MB in total size and my space limit is something like 7 to 8 MB so you need to send me a couple of emails each smaller than that size... If you send me two 6MB files, I need time to 'clear" one before you send the second......

bahduh - Yeah, I agree. It seems many celebrities care so much about publicity...I think it's ridiculous. At the same time though, it's the fault of everyone who buys into all of that crap and is just consumed by it. ::sigh::
evbro - Sorry, I'm working Friday and won't be able to make it. Keep me posted about any gigs you guys play in the area, though.
Guitarmiester - I think there were only two Hammer of the Gods shows. One was in Montreal and one was in New York.

Badmamajama- Great music as always :)
Mari- Jonathan Ross is a really irritating presenter on UK tv, he does "Film 2006" or whatever it's called- the good thing is that if he says the film is crap, you can guarantee it's not, and vice versa... He is a prize BERK lol!
Hope you are well Mari by the way! Missed you in the chat the other day I think :)
CLARKY- lol, ok- JR is a real turnip of a person (not man then LOL!)
Bahduh - hi! Hope all is ok with you!
Do The Stu- are you right at the front in the LISF dvd? What colout t-shirt / hair etc so I can pick you out on there! Lucky you being up close at the front like that.
962- Sorry to hear you are feeling snappy!
OUT OF INTEREST..... how many of you lucky people have actually met Joe? Over here in England it's kind of a very unlikely thing to happen, unfortunately!

I think Joe Satriani is way underrated. I always hear more about Steve Vai. I even saw him on this Show on VH1 about rock bands. I have a couple guitar books that talk about things like techneques, players and equiptment. People like Vai and B.B King and Clapton and all those guys have there own little section on their lives and playing style. In Vai's section, it even mentions Satch, and how he taught Vai. But Why doesn't Satch have his own section. In my opinion, he is way better than anyone of those other guys.(nothing against them.)
Joe should defenitly be more recognized/

I have neither heard of or been to either one of those locations - seem pretty neat though.
Maybe in all of my free time (time when I am not searching for things to post here)

akorn, i totally agree, but it all comes down to profile, as in from 18 years old, vai's been on the scene, frank zappa, alcatrazz, crossroads (the film), whitesnake..... blah blah
But joe is more melodic, more fluent, and has more feel... and doesnt try and squeeze as many notes into a second as is humanly possible... although he is obviosly more than capable, its feel, its passion, and more than a hobbie and instrument to him, its a kinda love.. and its his job, lucky guy....
seen him june 97 and birmingham nec, and june 2004 and birmingham nia.. cant wait for his next uk visit....
just purchased a js1000, most playable, versatile and beutiful instrumant ive ever played.....
everyone, take it easy..... and if you play, play till your fingers bleed..............gotta go!!

Clarky, "ha... I'm not slamming you... jeez.. lol... you should know me better than that... lol".....No I know you weren't! hehe, that wasn't what I meant. I've got a whole load of sh*t goin on in my 'real' life right now so it just means I wind up getting easily confused about everything...I dunno.
Anyway, wassat about a Poole gig? You got a gig in Poole? When and where?
OCPS470, cool, thanks for that bro. And is it still okay to use the hotplate to bleed the load off but still use it's speaker out so you can monitor with the cabinet? I'm guessing this is ok 'cause I can't figure any decent reason why this would do any damage!
Thanks for your help, it'd be really nice to use the Red Box's Cabinetulator for recording with. I tried the same thing you did, with using the Hotplate's Line Out into the Red Box Pro and the recorded result was really bad!
Suzie2000, ah it's ok, I'm just under some.....ummm.....pressure. Yeah I was lucky enough to meet Joe! He's awesome, the coolest guy for sure. Whenever he gets over here on tour make sure you do your best to meet him before or after the show, it'll be well worth it, if he's got time for talking.
