Okay...it's 4:40 a.m. and I'm still awake. I guess it's easy for the night to just fly by when you're in your own apartment without a roommate, huh? I was watching a few DVDs like a lazy bum, and now it's morning. I guess I should get some sleep soon...
cheese101 - That Les Paul & Friends concert sounds like a cool gig. If I have that day off work I'll definitely be there. Thanks for posting that.
962 - "sorry to hear about loosing the girl"
Yeah, it sucks. We're both kinda staying away from each other now (both accidentally and on purpose, I guess). We don't talk to each other, we avoid certain situations if we know the other person is likely to be there (which really sucks because we used to work together and we have A LOT of mutual friends), and so on. It all feels like a really bad breakup, but it's weird because we were never actually together. It's all a big complicated mess...meh.
MattGK - "Making it in the music industry" takes a lot more than knowing scales/modes and being able to play fast. Stick with it for as long as your heart is still in it.
Satriella - I've noticed in the past that it's quite common for new people to come to the site, post a few times a day for about two weeks, and then disappear. It's always nice to have new people here, so I've always tried to do my best to make them feel welcome.
Anyway, since we don't really know each other... I'm a 22-year-old journalism major at Cal State Long Beach. I've been a Satch fan since the mid-1990s and I've seen him in concert 12 times. My musical tastes are similar to most other T2Jers (instrumental rock, progressive rock, classic rock, etc.), but I also really like a few bands that don't fit that mold (Dave Matthews Band, Garbage and They Might Be Giants, to name a few). I've played bass guitar for a few years now, although I haven't had as much free time to play in the past year or so. Sadly, life has just gotten in the way. Well, now that you know me, can you take a moment and tell me a bit about yourself? ;-)
ovation1 - "I cant believe the dvd is only $15.19!!!!.... I need to make a big order soon"
Awesome... Do you have other CDs/DVDs on your "big order" waiting list? ;-) If not, I can make a few suggestions...hehe.
Well, it's time for bed. Good morning, everyone. ;-)

fretrider: Welcome back bro!.... And hell yeah man, I wish Steve had the same lineup today, but he's looking for a new direction which I dont like.... I will always buy anything he does, but it just isnt as good as it used to be IMO.... Another example: It is amazing to note that Billy Sheehan played on Real Illusions.... There is only 1 song that I think I can actually tell he played on.... Sad :-(
....Nite peeps.... Big Z ;-)

Mahavishnu - Hey Brian! That'sgood news. The wife comin too? Not goint to the Aerosmith. I'm trying to go to smaller stuff. I'm going to try to go to Buckethead on Feb 18, and Bill Frizel at the jazz festival in Feb, also. I'll look and see if there are any good small shows comin up. Maybe we can catch a beer or two.

OVATION!!! my favourite Acoustic by the way!!
yeah man... it was cool I think I was trying to get Joe's attention about that a few times.... I wish it was legally possible for his fans to view each vid, but that would take away from buying The Satch Tapes or any other vid...
I wish he would release his "Reel Satriani" tape on DVD one day... it basically cronicles the 1995 Joe Satriani sessions for Cool#9 and most importantly what a creative process is like for a song... namely "Luminous Flesh Giants"
I know Joe doesn't mind the odd bootleg of his material too much, but I guess the vids are a different matter...
It was a cool vid too... Joe is an old appartment or a rusty old hotel or something like that, jammin out the tune with an amp, and this custom Tele-style Ibanez wailing away on it and this hot gal is awaken by the music a couple of rooms away, and gets all Hot and Bothered and at the end of the vid gives Joe a phone call and ask him if he was the guy with the guitar...
I always thought that was a great way to pick up babes, but that could be a double edge sword too, cuz even the not so hot ones get all hot and bothered too... like what happened to me a few times, on stage and one day taking the dogs out after jammin with some Cds... long story... we'll let your imagination run wild...LOL
peace
bear

Plum Loco: haha, lol bear, I own one too, I love em'!! :-) Good point on vids keeping people from buying the actual dvd etc.... It is hard enough for an artist to get by, let alone freebee's (so to speak) going around and around the net!!....
I totally agree with the Reel Stariani dvd idea, and I believe it is just a matter of time before they get around to releasing it in dvd form....
And hey!.... Thanks for sharing the details of the vid, lol, I can picture JOE in that type of situation, but I dont think we'll ever see the ending, lol, JOE is just too kuul for that! ;-)
Also, lol man on the guitar getting you chicks, haha.... It is a very touchy subject (in more ways than one, lol), and one that can give you more trouble than you can imagine, lol!!....
Stay kuul bro, and nite all! zzzzzz
P.S. fretrider: I hear ya bro, and I do hope Dr. \//\I will make a rebound next time around!!.... Peace bro....

Satriella I dont care if my name is cute. I actually changed my nick from "intergalactic"because JSW A.K.A Danny savage/smartwebmaster2000 harassed me he is a troll. so i chose a more sinister name so the trolls would leave me be.
