962 - Yeah, Jennifer Batten would be a good choice for G3. I hadn't really thought of her (I'm not too familiar with her music).

The more that I think about it, it'd be cool if the next G3 tour featured two relatively unknown players. I want that so people can be exposed to new artists (I think the "G3" name is popular enough now where people would go just for Satch), and also because it'd be cool to see another G3 tour in theaters/clubs instead of large outdoor venues. I saw G3 2001 in a venue that held maybe 1,500 people. I saw G3 2003 in a venue that held four times that amount. The vibe was completely different.

Loo Who - You're welcome...
Ethn Hayabusa - It almost seems like Joe has grown a bit comfortable with recent G3s...I think he should do something radically different this time around.

It'd be kinda cool to hear a show without Hendrix covers...I agree with you there. But I'd actually even be fine with them covering a less popular song. Instead of the obvious covers, go for something like Spanish Castle Magic or Are You Experienced?...

I always thought Train Kept A Rollin' by the Yardbirds would make a great G3 jam song. I remember submitting that song on G3 surveys here on the site back before Joe played on that song for the Yardbirds album a few years ago...

There are some deep Led Zeppelin cuts that would be cool (How Many More Times, Bring It On Home, Ten Years Gone, Achilles Last Stand, Nobody's Fault But Mine), or maybe something like Pictures of Home or Space Truckin' by Deep Purple.

moisadoru - Hi...welcome to the site. :-) Tell us about yourself...

...Austin...

Re: New Tour Tickets

Question - Will their be special packages again?

Last time we needed to obtain tickets through Fanfire - will we need to do the same again this time?

I would like to know before 2/11/06 if possible, since that is the date tickets go on sale at HOB and other places.

Thanks in advance to all answers.

Thought for the day:

As income tax time approaches, did you ever notice: When you put the two words "The" and "IRS" together

it spells "THEIRS"?

Good Morning Satchland.......Tour Dates ! ! ! YYYEEESSS ! ! !

Grammy's were great last night but they sure did srew up the sound all night. Anybody else catch that? It was great see Madonna perform again. She looked great and sounded great also. McCartney....what can you say about Sir Paul. The guys a legend and his bass lines are poetry. Still Rockin' in his mid 60's....That's so awesome. I'm so happy for Kelly Clarkson. Four years ago she was pouring coffee at a truck stop in Texas and along comes American Idol...the rest is history. I love American Idol for that reason.....to give unknown kids the opportunity of a life time. I think it's great.

SteveeT..... Thanks for bring the tour info up front. I'm glad Chicago's House Of Blues is on the List....Yeah ! ! !

Cheese.....snif....snif..... Sorry. If you're jonezin" real bad .....fly into Chicago. Cindy and I will put you up for your stay. Just a thought. Take care. Hugs.

Powerslave.....Thanks for the response. I'm goig to check the discussion forum at Line 6 just to see what they're saying about the XTLive. It looks and sounds pretty good.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Marimari: Darlin i can pass you a million praises, but it all adds up to the square root of nothing if you sit back & think I,m good at what i do i don’t need to do anything more. “Not to my knowledge you ever did” but as you know that’s of worthy thought.

Stevee T:Thanks bro,I tell y, i,ve seen fans come & go from here, but none BAR NONE have ever come close to you.You REALLY went the whole hog & gave up your lifelong Les Pauls for the Chromeboys, takes biggey eggs t do that & deserves a mail from the man

JOE SATRIANI: How about a mail to our man Stevee T! "read above"

punkdude75: Right on man, Ed is my reason for loving the guitar, lol, he will always be the reason I decided to play serious, and he is the guitar god!! :-)

Ethn Hayabusa / /\/\/\R|<: I hear you guys on Ron, but I havent heard enough of him to know how he would fit in the G3 context.... As much as I love /\/\/\TTI/\S, I tend to get tired of the typical whammy squeals he plays in lots of his songs.... He is a monster player, but very predictable, so is Morse IMO.... We need an uncanny G....

We need the fusion of Howe or Garsed.... The jazz of Stern or Benson.... The metal of Paul Gilbert or Kiko Loureiro....

Satriella: Amen about computer time, lol, I'm doing the same schedule!! ;-) Just wait till you get Kiko' cd.... Great music in there with some Brazilian flair!!.... Enjoy....

JOE: Bring on the sound clips!! :-)

Nite all....ZZZZzzzz

Chester, that's WEST side PA. I'm EAST side! That's for all the Pittsburg folks that always get stuck traveling over to this side or trucking off to Ohio. I'll just sit here and twiddle my thumbs till I see a closer venue :-) VERY happy to see some dates already!

MarimariSRV Did you see Joe will be playing at The Palace Theater in PA? I might take a trip to PA to see him. I gotta check to see what day that was again, I'll be doing a bit of short traveling starting in one week! NY, back to NJ, then to NY for the DT show, then if I don't see any more dates on the site for Joe coming to NY or NJ, I'll go to PA to see him again. I saw him once, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, and Satch, but his set was only about 60-90 minutes. I've been waiting for Joe to come around...PA might be my only chance to see him? We'll see.

Satriella...... I love that forum name. I smile everytime I read it. It's great. Anyway, rehearsing away. The keyboardist wouldn't committ so we're staying a three piece. We're gonna rock. I can't wait. I can smell the club smoke and beer...lol...When I get a chance to video tape and record the band I'll put that up on our site. Having a lot of fun now. It's great. The posters...thanks for asking...Yes, I have the Cd in hand and going to the printer today for a test copy. Sean's monitor and printer are not calibrated to his tower so we may have to play with font sizes but that's an easy fix. I'm so glad you got into the chat room. I love my chat room girls and they know who they are. I have to get there more often myself. Speaking of Chat Room Girls. Have you heard Walter Trout's song " Chat Room Girl"? It's great . It's on his Relentless CD. He also has a DVD that goes with the CD. It was recorded in Amsterdam and speaking of Damn ....it's damn good...lol....Check him out he's a great ....great Blues Guitarist and he's managed by his wife....smart man he is .....Hugs.

Edit.....gottahavejoe....What's up? What happened to you?
