Joe, I was thrilled to hear that you'll be coming to The Palace Theater in Greensburg, PA. I saw Dream Theater there about 2 years ago and it is an awesome venue. It's just the right size and I'm sure you'll love it. By the way, my sister got tickets for us to see Malmsteen in March for my 30th. I've always heard negative feedback about him. Do I really want to know what to expect? I've always liked his speedy style, but I guess I'm afraid that he's going to suck.....from what I've heard. Someone please tell me that he'll be somewhat good! Please!

962 That's another reason why I like Paul Gilbert so much, just his unbelievable talent ->guitars ->Laney Amp. He's another guy I gotta see live or meet, I need to see him play live, one of the best guitarists ever. I've been listening to 'Second Heat' a lot lately, I played 'Gone Too Far' maybe about 20 times yesterday, and everytime I had to go back on the CD player and listen to the solo over and over and over...his sweeping during that solo is beyond anybody else. If you want to hear one of the most amazing solos you'd ever hear, listen to 'Gone Too Far'. 1:40 into that song starts with the wildest sweep I've EVER heard! If you don't have 2nd Heat, you need it, such an amazing album! Don't even get me started with 'Scarified'! Yea, if you don't have 2nd Heat, you might want to get it...now.
-Off to get some lunch...then got a lot of guitar playing to do, along with recording the guitar parts for someone, he's covering 'Silent Man' by Dream Theater, that should turn out pretty good. I'll post up a link for it later.

There is a time change to take into account.
The show starts at 6:30 - maybe 3-5 hour concert (including breaks in sets).
That is 9:30 to 11:30 pm - then a 3 hour drive back. You be home some just after midnight.
Sounds like a plan !!

melzie I've seen YJM 3 times now. Once on the G3 tour, and two other times. Once with George Lynch and once with a local band. At the third show I was so close that I was leaning against the stage and actually got to touch his guitar when he held it for the audience to hold while he was playing.
I thought that he put on an amazing show.

Zinc......Cindy and I are definetly going to HOB. We can't wait. I've seen Joe there twice. It's a great place unfortunetly the staff there are not to friendy but who cares. I'm going to see Joe. I think were going to do the dinner package so we can have a seat. If you're interested we could include you in our reservation. Also, check out my site for dates. Surprise me. Joe, I can't wait to pick up the new album and see you on tour. I hope you come through Albuquerque, or at least Phoenix. I have all your discs and listen to them constantly. You are the best! I know it's early, but I'd like to suggest for your playlist on tour: The Mighty Turtle Head, If I Could Fly, Engines of Creation and Back To Shalla-Bal, along with your classics that are already part of your playlist. Most of all, you have to include 'Crushing Day'. This is my favorite song of yours and it has the most wicked guitar work I have ever heard. You just race through those licks at breakneck speed. Fantastic! Thanks for giving myself and all your fans so much awesome music. You are the greatest guitar play in the world and, in my opinion, ever. Look forward to seeing you out on tour. Thanks.
