SteveeT- Good to hear you like my new stuff. Things are going well. I just finished music for a project with PBS. It's a special about endangered species. I'am now working on the theme song to a full length feature film. I'am working with a filmwriter from Chicago by the name of Steve Goodman. He used some of my music a couple of years back for a short film of his. He liked my style and asked if I could come up with a theme song for his new film. My Music Publishing Company is up and running! So I've been very busy! I do read the posts as much as I can. Take Care.

MarimariSRV You got mail... Quick question: Which place would be better to see Joe at (1)Center for the Arts @ University of Buffalo or (2)Nokia Theatre? I'd like to see Satch live again...I'm definitly going to one of those if I don't blow all my money in the next two months... going to NY during presidents week with some friends (I'm probably going to spend more than I want) and then I'll be back in NY again APril 1st to see Dream Theater! (I'm hoping I can find the 'Harmmer of the Gods' DVD for sale!)
-I'll be recording some songs this week, here's what I'll be recording:
(1)Joe Satriani - Lifestyle
(2)Steve Vai - Whispering A Prayer
(3)Steve Vai - Here I Am
-And I'm hoping to record some of my originals...I have one that's almost done that I'll post up, lyrics, bass, and drums being added in this weekend. I already laid all the guitar parts down, including a pretty sick solo (one take, on the spot, all improv...just wait to hear it!)
-Listening to Pain of Salvation right now....it can't get any better! One of the best bands ever!

Thanks for posting the upcoming tour dates. Yea Joe and EJ April 12th at Massey Hall, not my favourite venue but it will kick ass anyway. Cheers man, I will be getting front row tickets to that show for sure, so long as they dont cost me more than 80 bucks.

Joe hi. I hope all is going well with you I just wanted to post my thoughts on your music-for what they're worth. I love your music but I'm not to thrilled with the musicians you've been working with. Yes they're more then capable of playing your music but I think you need to stretch and play with musicians who have more personality. Musicians that can add something of themselves to your music instead of just keeping the beat, or supporting your amazing guitar. Neil Peart on drums, pick a young hungry "up-and-coming" bassist, and lets see what happens.
Also, the encores for the G3 shows have been boring and very dissappointing. With Yngwie I would have loved to hear you all play "Trilogy Suite Op:5" as and encore. "Rockin In The Free World" was terrible! After Neil played the definative version on "Saturday Night Live" did you three really think there was any more that could be done with that song? How about a "Van Halen" song or "Led Zepplin" song or "Incubus" song or a "T-Ride" song(I'll bet not many have heard of T-Ride and would love to see you guys play their stuff for the encore) How about a "KIngs X" song?
Further, your look sucks. Sorry, it does, take your sun-glasses off when your on stage and dress flashier. I would also like to see you use those lovely hand painted guitars instead of the "Silver Surfer" ones. Your look needs updating.
What ever happens thanks for making music Joe. You have at times made me cry with your playing-Strange Beautiful Music describes it perfectly. All the best to you and those you love.
Joe in Calgary. Canada.

Hey Joe, I know you must be busy. I wrote a CD called "Magnetic" and dedicated one of the songs to Steve Vai. Just thought you may like to hear it if you take a 5 min break someday, he.he.

Satriella!!!
Yep, life can be one crazy traffic jam...
or what we Canadians call the "Don Valley Parking Lot" well, it's actually called the Don Valley Parkway, it's a highway in Toronto... but it's like a parking lot... cuz very little brains goes into driving in the big city... everyone has to drive and the cars exceed the size of the highway... so there are daily traffic jams because of it...
it's funny really... cuz everyone is going nowhere fast but still continue to conjest the stretch of traffic lanes...
aw well...
at least I didn't have to pay for it... problem is I'm pretty much obligated to buy the Peavey JSX off of them now...
anyways, it's getting late, and I start my new job tommorow... evening shifts, not bad really, because it's floor cleaning and whatnot and it's peaceful when no one else is around but me and the floor machines...
wish me luck gang... I can't see anything worse going wrong, but nontheless, the way things have been going lately I'm gonna desperately need some good luck...
peace
bear
