Slansh: I listened to the clips from widowmaker's highway. Very nice! You certainly get a very unique tone by going direct. The lead tone sounds like some kind of a distortion/ overdrive unit run direct to the recorder. It almost has a whale song quality to it, very interesting. I saw your pic too....it's great to see that I'm not the only one in the universe that holds my guitar that high and keeps my thumb on the back of the neck haah! Very cool stuff.

Wow, INXS was pretty good tonight! They had the Jackhammers...errrr no, the Lovehandles...um...hold on..... The LOVEHAMMERS open for them. That's Marty's band, and they were great (though not my cup o' tea, but very good at what they do). INXS was really very good. They guys played great, and looked great, and rocked like they did 20 yrs ago. JD Fortune was a good pick for the band. He blends in very well, and is very entertaining to watch. Evvvvvvvrybody in the audience was dancing. lmao!!! My husband had this chick that must have been over 6' in front of him, and she was wigglin' alllll over the place. LOL!! He's 6', and she was taller than him. The couple in front of me were a couple of shorties, maybe 5' tops. The dude went up to the tall girls shoulder. I was just glad they were in front of me :) I would have been looking at the tall girls shoulder blades. lol! Anyways, if ya have the chance to see these bands, check 'em out. It was a fun night.
PHILLY JOE!!!

A man is driving up the M1...there is a police car behind him...suddenly he pulls away sharp....
The policemen look at each other wondering why he has done this...they have no choice but to give chase
Hundreds of miles later they finally catch up with him and by this time there are loads of police involved. They breathalize him and check his car and papers...everything is fine..
"Why did you pull away like that?" they ask
"Your car is fine, you are fine...but now we are gonna have to arrest you for speeding and failing to stop when asked"
"Oh that's OK" says the man
"So why did you pull away like that then?"
"My wife left me for a policeman...I though you were bringing her back!"

Mr. Joe sir,
Love the new album (well, the podcast I've heard so far anyway) -- it would be totally awesome to catch your Super Colossal Tour!
Don't forget your fans in the California Bay Area!!!
Crossing all my fingers that you might add a date at a venue in that area!
Hope to see yhou perform again soon!
Best regards and all respect,
Michael

Hello Joe,
My name is Vijay. I live in Mumbai, India. I am a great fan of yours. I missed your Mumbai concert, though the venue is just 20 kms from my house. I was dying to see you !
I have been your fan since 'surfing with the alien'
I listen mostly to only your music. I always have all your CDs in my car. Though I cannot play guitar, but it is almost a treat to listen to your music, a hundred times better than champagne and caviar !! Even if a listen to a particular song that I must have heard a hundred times, I get as much pleasure listening to it as it was when I heard it the first time. When I listen to your music at home, I switch off all my telephones. your music is deep and profound. That is the magic in your music. You are truly the God of guitar. There never will be another joe satriani.
I am eagerly waiting to get 'Collosal' on 14 Mar 06

kmittleman, yeah that's a cool idea. I don't know about anything guaranteed to have a signature, but you might get lucky like Guitarmiester and I did - I bought the "Red" poster from Joe's fanfire site and I was really pleasantly surprised to see, when it arrived, Joe's signature in silver marker!
It's only 10 dollars, and even if it's not signed it's still an awesome thing to have on the wall, especially for the kids to look at! Oh, and welcome to t2j!
Satriella, I'm here! I'm busy too though, so that's why I'm only on here sporradically :-)
