Hi everyone
CLARKY - Yeah , I've heard that too that the Triaxis sounds very thin ,so If you want the Boogie sound I suggest the Mark IV. But then again, we're all different, the Triaxis might work for you. The G-Force is awesome, I have one. My preamp is the CAE 3+SE. By the way, you can get the Mark IV as a rack unit too. I was not spending much time on the web lately, so I don't know what's going on with you, is your CD finished? Let me know 'cause I want a copy.
Peace,
Pitch no 8

962: No problem man. I've actually setup my amp in an iso booth with an SM57 center on the top left speaker of the cab (4X12) and it sounds very similar to the direct speaker emulation on the redbox. I should mention, that often times the amp through the redbox will sound warmer and fatter through the redbox. I often have to boost trebble and presence on the amp to get the same EQ curve that I hear when the amp is live through the cab.

IMO - this is the best Grammy's I've seen in a while. McCartny singing Helter Skelter, Sly & The Family Stone with Sly actually making an appearance, Kanye West and Jamie Foxx, the Midnigh Hour jam, hell even Christina Agulera (sp) kicked some serious ass. There were a few more cool moments, but I can't remember at the moment.
Anybody know why Les Paul is in the hospital?

962 and Austin-That's funny, Damage Control and Building the Church are the only things I can stand on the new DVD.Andy Timmons is great, but his albums haven't done anything for me.
I think Bumblefoot and Steve Morse would make for and interesting G3.Morse is so diverse, and is a better improviser than 99% of the rock guitar world.Bumblefoot is terrifying.PLUS, he can actually sing.
Oh yeah, and NO MORE HENDRIX COVERS.
But maybe that's just me.

michelle perhaps he is just like 90 something.
ethn BBF is a sick freak... i would love to see mattias IA Eklundh on a g3 , he is a mutant... but bbf would be cool.. and they could only do hendrix if its bbf's cover of fire.

Clarky: I know the GT Pro has a software editor. I think the GT8 has one that was actually created by some non-Boss folks. Either way, they'd both be fun to play with. I'm still torn between the GT 8 and the XT Live. So many toys, so little budget. ;-) The TC Electronics G System looks truly amazing, but it is also accompanied by an amazing price tag.
DW_HBK: The DiMarzio Clip Lock strap I have cost around $19 US or so. I love it. The *only* thing I have to be careful of is my guitar has a natural oil finish, and the plastic lock mechanisms can ding the back surface if I'm not careful. I'll probably end up replacing it with a regular nylon strap just for that reason alone. I'd tried a Planet Waves lock strap, but the lock mechanism were rather bulky and stuck out like a sore thumb. Methinks I may end up trying one of those JS signature straps.
Keniko: I don't have one (yet). A local store does have some in stock, but I haven't yet had time to sit down and really explore it to any great degree. Unfortunately, none of the local stores carry both the XT Live and the GT8 so I could do A/B comparisons. Right now I just have a small Marshall and a Roland GP-16 (rackmount). I do rather like the idea of being able to tweak sounds/effects and share them online with others.
Geez...am I the only one that *liked* the G3 Tokyo DVD? It seemed to me that John fit in better onstage with Joe and Steve than Eric (who seemed a little uncomfortable), or Yngwie (who seemed off in his own world).

962 - Yeah, Jennifer Batten would be a good choice for G3. I hadn't really thought of her (I'm not too familiar with her music).
The more that I think about it, it'd be cool if the next G3 tour featured two relatively unknown players. I want that so people can be exposed to new artists (I think the "G3" name is popular enough now where people would go just for Satch), and also because it'd be cool to see another G3 tour in theaters/clubs instead of large outdoor venues. I saw G3 2001 in a venue that held maybe 1,500 people. I saw G3 2003 in a venue that held four times that amount. The vibe was completely different.
Loo Who - You're welcome...
Ethn Hayabusa - It almost seems like Joe has grown a bit comfortable with recent G3s...I think he should do something radically different this time around.
It'd be kinda cool to hear a show without Hendrix covers...I agree with you there. But I'd actually even be fine with them covering a less popular song. Instead of the obvious covers, go for something like Spanish Castle Magic or Are You Experienced?...
I always thought Train Kept A Rollin' by the Yardbirds would make a great G3 jam song. I remember submitting that song on G3 surveys here on the site back before Joe played on that song for the Yardbirds album a few years ago...
There are some deep Led Zeppelin cuts that would be cool (How Many More Times, Bring It On Home, Ten Years Gone, Achilles Last Stand, Nobody's Fault But Mine), or maybe something like Pictures of Home or Space Truckin' by Deep Purple.
moisadoru - Hi...welcome to the site. :-) Tell us about yourself...
...Austin...

Re: New Tour Tickets
Question - Will their be special packages again?
Last time we needed to obtain tickets through Fanfire - will we need to do the same again this time?
I would like to know before 2/11/06 if possible, since that is the date tickets go on sale at HOB and other places.
Thanks in advance to all answers.
