gotta have Joe - What part of California are you going to?

TomSr - Are you staying in New York for a night after the gig, or are you driving back home to PA? If you're staying in NY, you'd be better off leaving your car at your hotel and taking a bus/subway/cab to and from the show.

If you're driving back to PA, well, you still might be better off parking your car at a train station or something nearby and taking public transportation to/from the gig. I don't know if there is parking near the RCMH, but driving around in the city could be a bit of a pain (and parking is probably expensive). You say you've never been to the Big Apple...well, a trip there wouldn't be complete without a short ride on a subway... ;-)

I'll be at that gig...where are your seats? Keep in touch...I'll look for you and say "hey".

...Austin...

Alexandre - oh yes bro... keep the faith....

are you recording an album too??

Satriella - on the next album, my lead guitar sound will remain the same...

my rhythm guitar sound, and recording method will alter to tighten things up...

so if I leave the rhythm guitars on Space Time as they are, it'll stand out as being different....

changing the rhythm guitars is no big deal really.......

the main thing is, the solos are recorded and will stay as they are.. and the format / content of the song will not change..

Mari - girlies only find me attrative when I'm armed... lmao

You got the thread of what I was saying. I'll give you a cogient paradime. Would you say I am going to put my right leg in front of the other, then put my left leg in front of the other or would you say I am going for a walk ? You would say your going for a walk.

A few of my students do struggle grasping some points of theory. But most of them get it when they play an example first. After they have played a piece and then sit them down and explain that it sounds like that because and then they tend to get it.

The point I am trying to make is you spend years accumulating knowledge. Each time you take a new student on you go over the knowledge again and again so its second nature. Even though you are teaching they are helping you retain knowledge and then one day you see something in a much simpler new light. Bruce Lee said You learn to unlearn.

Again I was not talking musically I was talking about the shapes of the scale on the fret board and the sequences that the inversions follow each other in.

STEVEE T- about the acoustic amp... Matt plays a lot of classical guitar, and has been complaining for ages that he needs an acoustic amp for any gigs, well as I say, the sound is great. Quite a few years back I used to play Joni Mitchell type guitar / voice stuff in folk clubs /music clubs. Matt and I now do Renaissance stuff together, he is considerably better than me on the guitar! (-as an understatement lol...) You said about the piano- I like playing mainly Bach and Scarlatti where possible, but don't do pop singing / piano type songs though if that's what you mean??

MARI- Sorry to hear you're feeling low, hope today is better :)

I am 17, and have been looking foward to a Joe Satriani show and an Eric Johnson show for several years, so I was excited when I saw that they were both playing together. I have not seen Joe play live before, because his tour dates have never fitted my schedule, and I havn't seen Eric Johnson because he doesn't tour much, and when he has been in town his shows were 18 and up only. So to say the least I was pissed off when I found out that the show on April 1st in Denver at the Ogden was for only 21 up in age. I think it is wrong for fans to be turned away like this, and I hold it partially at fault to the performer's for allowing these kinds of shows. I support both Eric and Joe, but I would like them to know that if they respect their audience, in the future I hope they will not perform at these kinds of venues, or allow these kinds of shows to happen. I hope anyone else who feels the same will speek up, because for once I would like to catch an Eric Johnson or Joe Satriani show without being turned away because of my age.

TomSR, if you park in a garage, make sure you check the CLOSING time before you go in! You don't want to come back to the garage after the show and have yer car locked up overnight. Try to find an all night garage, or at least one that's open till midnight, and prepare to pay to park. Not a measly $8.00 or so like here. It will probably be $20.+, but maybe someone else can confirm that. We haven't been to NY since '01. DT will be fantastic! Have a great time!

Would any one of the many talented people on here (Joe included :P lol) mind sharing how you create your songs? Do you come up with a melody first? or is it a riff first? do you just get an idea out of the blue and can hear the whole song in your head? Maybe a combination of all of them? I am really interested in seeing how other people create their music :) thanks and take care everyone. C.

Everyone is saying that there is going to be another show in Chicago,,,is that true??, because neitherJoe nor the Webmaster hasn't confirm it...I'm going to take a day off from work for the Wednesday or Thursday shows.

Joe and Crew: Please sell T-Shirts on every show because I do not have a Satriani shirt, and that for me is insane. It would be cool if you guys sell keychains, mugs, calendars etc; lol,.....See you guys in the Chicago show, And I hope I could finally meet Joe in person..

So far the song that I like the most is Redshift Riders...later
