Hey Joe, My name is Jeremy, I live in Land O Lakes, Florida. I have been playing guitar since the age of 7 and am now 14 years old. The day the platinum tickets came out for Boca Raton we bought 2 of them for me and my brother as a B-day present. At the time we bought the tickets we didnt know you were coming to Tampa. It is a 10hr round trip to Boca Raton but its worth it. It would be great if we could get those backstage passes for the encore. Since your in the area my dad said if you still give lessons he would pay for me to have a lesson, that would be the best B-day present ever. Email me back at Cyberjagx2@aol.com or post a messege on the sight. Thanks! Jeremy

I forgot, Iron Mike Tyson is warming up for them, in support of his "she likes it rough" album on the Original Gangsta label!

The Omni hotel is running a package deal on the suite with two tickets.

Hello Joe!

Frist, I would like to say that you are a great, amazing guitar player! I love your songs!

Now, I would ask you some thing... I'm from Brasil... so there is a great guitar player from here. His name is Kiko Loureiro. He's the Angra's guitar player, a great heavy metal band that has fans over all the world (most of them from Europe and Japan) So... Kilo Loureiro has a nice solo album, "No Gravity", with fantastic musics.

Finally... I want to see you, Steve and Kiko in a G3! preferable in Brasil! In Brasil, there is a lot of fans of you, Steve vai and Kiko. This G3... would be great!

It's all... thanks for attention and sorry about my english!

Good Morning Satchland....How about some comedy to start your day?

"Balls" Inspector

I don't know how they wrote this with a straight face. This was a real memo sent out by IBM to its employees in all seriousness. It went to all field engineers about a computer peripheral problem.

The author of this memo was quite genuine. The engineers rolled on the floor! Especially note the last couple of sentences.

'If a mouse fails to operate or should it perform erratically, it may need a ball replacement. Mouse balls are now available as FRU (Field Replacement Units). Because of the delicate nature of this procedure, replacement of mouse balls should only be attempted by properly trained personnel.

Before proceeding, determine the type of mouse balls by examining the underside of the mouse. Domestic balls will be larger and harder than foreign balls. Ball removal procedures differ depending upon the manufacturer of the mouse.

Foreign balls can be replaced using the pop off method. Domestic balls are replaced by using the twist off method.

Mouse balls are not usually static sensitive. However, excessive handling can result in sudden discharge.

Upon completion of ball replacement, the mouse may be used immediately. It is recommended that each person have a pair of spare balls for maintaining optimum customer satisfaction.

Any customer missing his balls should contact the local personnel in charge of removing and replacing these necessary items.

Please keep in mind that a customer without properly working balls is an unhappy customer.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

BTW....Make sure to check your mouse balls. You never know when they'll need replacing....lol....

Hi Joe,

Just heard your podcast for "Redshift Riders" It sounds very cool. I was a little puzzled by your explanation for "using redshift" What you described sounded more like the gravitational slingshot that they use to accelerate spacecraft. Redshift refers to a lengthening of measured wavelengths due to objects moving away from each other as well as the expansion of the universe-sort of like the lowering of pitch as an ambulance siren speeds away from you.

Just in case you're interesting. Looking forward to the album and seeing you in concert again.

Thanks for mentioning Thin Lizzy. It's important to remember where it all started for some of us 'mature' players. I got to meet Phil and the boys in the states when they broke out over here with the 'Fighting' album. Brian Robertson aka Robbo was but a teenager at that time yet one of the fastest and cleanest players I'd ever seen. The double-leads with Scot G. were blazing. I'm glad that Sykes continues to carry the torch even if the current Lizzy is only reminiscent of the originals, a true tribute to Phil Lynott. Diatonic is better than catatonic, but I prefer gin and tonic.

Hi Joe, I have a 15 yr. old son who's been playing the guitar for several years and is awesome. You're his idol. His Dad and I surprised him with tickets to see you in Chicago on April 5th, which I bought from ticketmaster, then found this site and saw we could have bought from here and he would have been able to meet and greet. Is that still possible or even a note from you would mean the world to a young guitar player. Thanks, MaGee

Olly - The simplest name for that chord would probably be Dm(add9)/A. So it's a D minor triad with an added ninth, in second inversion.

Austin: Thanks for your suggestions. We were planning on driving back to PA after the show. If I find a parking garage that is too far to walk from maybe I will be riding in one of those new-fangled subways :)

I will have to find out from my son, TomJr ,where we are going to be seated. He has the tickets in hand since he bought me mine for a Christmas gift. I will let you know when I find out and perhaps we can exchange a few "heys".

michelle: Thanks for your input! I sure wouldn't appreciate having my car locked away for the night in NYC :(

Stevee T Again, thanks for your suggestions. Its nice to have friends on this board. I read just about every post, except for Wolf2's heheh. i guess I am a lurker........
