As good as he is as a guitarist I cant stand arogant gits. Im a peace luvin guy but if I was there I would have smacked Malmsteen round the chops just to see the look on his face and then give him abuse about his really corny old hat lyrics !!!!
But that boy can play

The Preacher is Leaving
The Preacher explains that he must move on to a larger congregation
that will pay him more.
There is a hush within the congregation. No one wants him to leave.
Joe Smith, who owns several car dealerships in the city, stands up and proclaims: "If the Preacher stays, I will provide him with a new Cadillac every year and his wife with a Honda mini-van to transport their children!"
The congregation sighs in appreciation, and applauds.
Sam Brown, a successful entrepreneur and investor, stands and says: "If the Preacher will stay on here, I'll personally double his salary, and also establish a foundation to guarantee the college education of all his children!"
More sighs and loud applause.
Sadie Jones, age 88, stands and announces with a smile, "If the preacher stays, I will give him sex."
There is total silence.
The Preacher, blushing, asks her: "Mrs. Jones, whatever possessed you to say that?"
Sadie's 90 year old husband Jake is now trying to hide, holding his forehead with the palm of his hand and shaking his head from side to side while his wife replies: "Well, I just asked my husband how we could help, and he said,......
"Screw the preacher!"

Joe / Jon.....thanks for the podcast. When I click on "video" I only get an "audio" review...but that's ok with me. "Super Colossal" sounds pretty cool, I love that pitch shifter pedal.
Plum Loco.....thanks for the heads up on David Gilmour. He has been a huge influence for years. I'm not a fan of playing covers anymore, but I'd play a Floyd tune at the drop of a hat. Peace, SD

Good "Super Colossal" Morning To Ya ! ! ! !
Jon Luini..... One Word......Thanks so much....So I can't count. The Pod Cast is blowin' me away. I love technology and must admit I was oblivious to how this Pod Cast Technology works. This IS the future. It's so like Joe to jump on this to share his music in a way never imagined. Joe one on one with you showing us how not only to play the songs but the inspiration behind them. This is great news. I'm breathless. I'm definetly looking into this technology for my band. This is HUGE ! ! ! Thanks Again and again and.....well you know ! ! !
Joe..... I'm speechless. Thanks so much for the Pod Cast Idea. I am overwhelmed with Joy. You truly are a Super Colossal guy. It's easy picturing you 100' tall with a huge "Chrome Boy" playing a huge riff like you said. A great explanation. I laugh my "A" double "S" off. Thanks for that. God Bless you, your family, band and crew. Take Care. See you in Chicago in April. I can't wait.
DCSlater...... I'm happy for ya bro. Let me know when your CD is released. Also, I like to know how the Blues Jam goes. Play on and tear it up ! ! !
Mari.....How are you sweetie? here's the Customer Service # to Guitar World : 1-800-456-6441 They're real nice and they'll help you resolve your issues. Hugs. How's Rockzilla?
michelle..... Haven't talked to you in long time. How ya been? I have to hang more in the chat. Fear not young one.....you are in great company. That says it all. Hugs to you.
gottahavejoe..... Good morning to ya? How you feeling today? hope all is well. Rest. Hugs.
Have a Great "POD CAST" Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Just a tip, but it would be ideal to have support for IRC in relation to the "Live Chat". Of course, seeming that my linux client is having issues connecting otherwise.
I have no issues connecting while making use of the flash beta chat, but I am unable to see any text that I am typing (username, password, etc). This would be with firefox 1.0.7-0ubuntu20, flashplayer-mozilla 7.0.25-0.0ubuntu1 (the default for a ubuntu install). I suppose a possible solution would be for me to install mozilla-browser 1.7.12.0ubuntu2, and flash 6 from macromedia.com.
Unfortunately, there are issues connecting while making use of sun-j2re 1.5(firefox 1.0.7-0ubuntu20).

Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone had any leads on any signed pix of Joe. I just opened a guitar / music studio in Maryland and thought it would be inspirational to have something like that on the wall for the kids to see.
Thanks inadvance!!

marimariSRV Thanks for your thoughts on that song. That song isn't anything crazy at all, pretty simple. I've listened to that song over and over just because that solo I laid down in it is really, really good (in my opinion). Fits the song real well and has a little bit of everything - legato, sweeping, tapping, arpeggios, and at one part a pretty fast (and very clean) 3 notes-per-string runs.
-I'll be recording some covers with a friend, I'll be doing all the guitar work. Here's what we'll be doing:
-Joe Satriani - Lifestyle
-Dream Theater - Silent Man
-Metallica - Unforgiven (I'm just doing the solo for it, I didn't really want to cover any Metallica, never really was a huge fan of them...but, they do have some good songs)
These next few are instrumentals I'll be doing everything in:
-Joe Satriani - Tears In The Rain (I'm working on adding a 2nd, and maybe 3rd guitar into the song, wait till you hear what I've added to it, it's coming along real nicely!)
-Steve Vai - Whispering A Prayer
-I might do a few other songs by Joe, Vai, Petrucci, and Gilbert...
-I'm just doing covers for now until I get totally aquanted with recording on my computer.
-Once they are done, I'll post up a link for everyone to check them out...then you can let me know what you think.
Joe Satriani COME TO NJ ON THIS TOUR! I know you are playing in NY and PA, but I'm already going to about 5 or 6 shows before you play in NY, I'll be in NY two times in the next few months...and most likely will spend a huge amount of money in the next few weeks...I need you to come somewhere close (NJ)!!!
-kmittleman THat's an awesome idea! If you pre-order Joe's newest album, you get a free autographed booklet signed by Joe! There's a start. Also, order the poster that Joe is selling on this site, when I ordered mine a year or two ago it came signed by Joe. I know I'm not the only one who got a signed poster either, someone else recently said they ordered one and it came signed.
