Mr. Joe sir,

Love the new album (well, the podcast I've heard so far anyway) -- it would be totally awesome to catch your Super Colossal Tour!

Don't forget your fans in the California Bay Area!!!

Crossing all my fingers that you might add a date at a venue in that area!

Hope to see yhou perform again soon!

Best regards and all respect, Michael

I reallllllllly liked the podcast. Maybe it should be called a POGcast, considering the pedal. ;-)

Hello Joe, My name is Vijay. I live in Mumbai, India. I am a great fan of yours. I missed your Mumbai concert, though the venue is just 20 kms from my house. I was dying to see you ! I have been your fan since 'surfing with the alien' I listen mostly to only your music. I always have all your CDs in my car. Though I cannot play guitar, but it is almost a treat to listen to your music, a hundred times better than champagne and caviar !! Even if a listen to a particular song that I must have heard a hundred times, I get as much pleasure listening to it as it was when I heard it the first time. When I listen to your music at home, I switch off all my telephones. your music is deep and profound. That is the magic in your music. You are truly the God of guitar. There never will be another joe satriani. I am eagerly waiting to get 'Collosal' on 14 Mar 06 Vijay, Mumbai, India

kmittleman, yeah that's a cool idea. I don't know about anything guaranteed to have a signature, but you might get lucky like Guitarmiester and I did - I bought the "Red" poster from Joe's fanfire site and I was really pleasantly surprised to see, when it arrived, Joe's signature in silver marker!

It's only 10 dollars, and even if it's not signed it's still an awesome thing to have on the wall, especially for the kids to look at! Oh, and welcome to t2j!

Satriella, I'm here! I'm busy too though, so that's why I'm only on here sporradically :-)

Joe,

In your tour dates there are no Seattle/Tacoma shows listed, do you know roughly what month you will begin to hit the west coast?

"Holy Terror, Batman!" Superhero takes on Al-Qaeda

NEW YORK (AFP) - Bored with pitting his wits against the Joker and the Riddler, Batman is setting his sights on a more challenging target -- Osama bin Laden.

"Holy Terror, Batman!" an upcoming graphic novel from famed Batman writer Frank Miller, sees the caped crusader facing off against Al-Qaeda operatives who attack Gotham City.

Miller, who has already inked his way through 120 pages of the 200-page opus, told a recent comic book convention that the novel was an unashamed "piece of propaganda" in which Batman "kicks Al-Qaeda's ass."

The driving force behind the work, Miller said, was "an explosion from my gut reaction of what's happening now."

Holy Terror is "a reminder to people who seem to have forgotten who we're up against," he said in remarks posted on the entertainment website, IGN.com.

A 20-year comic book veteran, Miller became one of the best known names in the industry with the graphic novel "Dark Knight Returns," in which he brought Batman out of retirement.

He was also the creator of the graphic novel series "Sin City," which was turned into a hit movie of the same name last year directed by Miller, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino.

Miller said the use of comic book heroes for propaganda had an honourable tradition.

"Superman punched out Hitler. So did Captain America. That's one of the things they're there for," he said.

"These are our folk heroes," he added. "It just seems silly to chase around the Riddler when you've got Al-Qaeda out there."

No date has been set for the release of "Holy Terror, Batman!"

962: Right-on man, I'm glad you like Gilbert Hotel!!.... It's one of my faves, and I love to sing along to the songs!!.... That album really showcases Paul's writing ability, and although he may purposely use some crazy lyrics (aka maybe I.... Should lay off the morphine), lmao!!.... Its amazing..Paul is such a classy kuul guy, and I hope he never stops making music....

BTW, thanks for the info on Paul's 15w Laney.... That is my dream bro, I love their sound, and someday soon!! :-) Oh, and hell.... Paul could play through a toy guitar and amp and still sound awesome, lol!!.... You should see him do whammy squeals without the whammy bar!! :-0

mikesb: You simply ROCK bro!!.... Thanks for that link!!....

mthead101: Happy Birthday!....

slanshroom: Wow man, I was wondering if Tony had an accompanyment, lol, he is truly a magical player!!.... I've seen Greg Howe play stuff like that, (the chords with his picking, and hammer on the notes on the lower 2 strings) but not like that, lol!!.... Thanks for the introduction, and I hope he makes a trip to the Far East!.... Stay kuul bro, Celtic music is spiritual!!....

webmaster Jon Luini ROCKS Thank you man!! :-)

I'm loving it so far, and I can hear the Eric touch on this one.... Great stuff!!

Mikey - aahhh Laney... I have an old Laney L100R combo..
sounds nice...
Laney give it to me after I did some sessions work for them as a demonstrator..

Delfino - I'm playing the Robin on March 21st

love to see you there bro... that'd be cool..

962 - yeah I'm pretty pissed about the Poole gig too....
Satriella - no.. Space Time will not change...
it'll get nicer sounding rhythm guitars and then it'll get re-mixed....
small improvements..
Yoda - you should know me better... since when do I know the names of songs and albums....
so I'll have to find the cd cover in the car.... all I know is.. Opeth.. and very cool vibes.. lmao..
Slansh - a pal of mine that I highly respect [that also has a phenominal rig] was blown away by the GNX3000

and that surprised me...

personally I've not heard one... and I'm not a big fan of floor units... I prefer rack... I guess that prejudice is why I've not tried it myself.... cos it looks like a toy..

ocps - Widowmakers Highway is a fucking stonking album...

my fave track is the one that starts with the Bach Clavier Prelude and then wanders into an insane gypsy trip..
tips hat to Slansh for that one... it's a master-stroke..
it's a brilliantly conceived and executed moment the sticks the middle finger up to both the shredder and extreme-jazzer conventions
it is both brave and whitty....

and it demonstrates that insanely technical playing can sound fun, no.. cheaky.. lol.. and does not have to be anal and indulgent...

pure genius...

Blue moon - you forgot to say Ireland in the language that really matters to the Irish... lol..

Éire
