Ovation 1... thanx for the Happy Birthday but, i've got a question... who's this 'tony" guy you were talkin about w/slanshroom ??? sounds like something i'd like to check out..BTW have you head of a folk guitarist named LEO KOTTKE ( not sure if i spelled his last name right)... the man was simply awsome using a finger technique that accually made him sound like two guitarist...give a listen to ' Guitar Music' from Leo you will not be dissapointed..unless you just dont like folk music, even so you simply cant ignore the skills !!! Zinc Master.. Another comic fan...alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MT

Hi Joe, I hope I can catch you in concert this year. Looks like you will be coming to the Dertoit area. We tried to catch you when you played at the " House Of Bluse " in Las Vegas. ( a few years ago ) My kids turned 21 and I got tickets to see you. Too bad you canceled because you were sick. They were turning 21 ( Twins ) right when the concert started. We wanted to " Celebrate their 21 st. " with the " Worlds Greatest Guitarist " We were bummed out of course when the concert was canceled. Well life has been busy and have not had a chance to get all of us together to catch one of your concerts. My son plays tennis at OSU. He is #2 in the country. He travels all over. My daughter is also at OSU and she is in fashion & design. She keeps herself busy keeping up with all the fashion changes. Both of them will graduiate this year ! " Thank God ! " Wishing you "Great success on your new CD and Tour " . I hope we will be able to catch you soon in concert. Thanks for the great gift you are sharing ! Very Best Regards,

Terry Wilson

As the meaning of love stairs at me on a echo like midnight, I think to myself with ten words, while searching for a love eternal, i'm made of tears. Am i crazy cause I believe that your my world ? If i could fly, id fly to the time machine to go back in time to keep myself from cryin when saying goodbye to you cause you never liked tears in the rain. As i watched the clouds race across the sky, I tell myself cause its so good to have a cool new way of movin on, i tumble down. Please stay with me. This slow and easy theme for a strange world is killing me.

As the lights of heaven turn into a peice of liquid, the ceremony for a psycho monkey inside a house full of bullets thats up in the sky continues. As time passes my secret prayer of a love thing comes true on a train of angels!

I completely forgot about Rockline last night. Did anyone listen? I think KLOS airs Rockline on Sundays...maybe I can catch it then.

Anyway...I listened to the Super Colossal clip. It sounds like a cross between Def Leppard and Andy Timmons to me (which is actually pretty cool). I can't tell much from this clip, though, so I'll wait until the album comes out before I say anything else. ;-)

webmaster - "it is a sad thing that itunes/quicktime7 doesn't work on the super old windows machines"

Yeah, I figured that was the case...oh well.

I was planning on buying myself a laptop for Christmas this past year (finally getting an Apple), but I decided to wait a bit once they announced the switch to Intel chips. As it is now I'll probably get one as a graduation gift in May...so I'm stuck with this dinosaur for a few more months. ;-)

Anyway, thanks again for the updates. The audio works fine for me; that's enough for now.

Hrh Fish - "They should sort their differences out and get Dave back on board. They were really gettin their shit together by the 1984 album (timless classic!)."

There are people who like the DLR albums better, and there are people who like the SH albums better. That's fine. It's incredibly obvious, however, that Dave just doesn't have "it" anymore. Bringing him back into the band at this point in time, even if you like his music more than Sammy's, would be a horrible decision. You can't deny Sammy's stage presence and energy...and he does it all without being a parody of himself.

Jo1328 - Joe used a lot of strobe-style lights on the Engines Of Creation and Strange Beautiful Music tours, but he hasn't used them the past few times I've seen him in concert. So you'll probably be okay.

If you want to be sure, maybe ask the question again once the tour starts...someone here who has seen a show will be able to help you.

PhryDom - I don't subscribe to either, but I end up buying a few issues of both Guitar World and Guitar Player each year.

I usually buy the magazine for one specific interview or something like that...and when I look through the rest of the magazine, I'm usually more pleased with GP than GW.

GP doesn't include transcriptions to a half dozen songs in each issue, though, like some other magazines do. So if that's something you're looking for go with GW.

...Austin...

Wasnt actually slaggin Hagar. I like Van Halens Hagar era to. Got Live without a net. All Im sayin is Dave was an original member. Doesnt Sammys hair style remind you of Bete Midler a little bit though? Its an english thing like bein with your mates at the bar. You all like each other but you all give each other a little bit of stick. If Dave has lost it maybe he'll find it goin back to his roots ? The debut album was groundbraking and the other album that sticks out is 1984. Hagars era its Right Here, Right now that sticks out. Didnt mean to get you goat!?!

Dont forget that Dave Lee Roth also elevated Steve Vais status and he in turn made Food for thought aware of Joe .....

Yeah I'll check you out and I'll make a point of postin you.......

Yeah there are quite a few cultural differencres between the Limeys and the 'septic tanks' (cockney rhymin slang 4 yank!)

Like a fag over here is a ciggarette. Over there its a left footer as we say over here. Bi sexualls are ambidextrous !!! Remeber Keith Richards gettin in to a load of trouble when he said I could murder a fag on a New York Radio Station.!!!

American sitcoms like The Cosby show , Fraiser , Fresh Prince , all the familys in these shows the charecters are succesful winners . In the UK its the opposite UK shows like Steptoe and Son , Till Death Us do Part , Porridge are all based on lifes loosers. The average English person can relate to the Underdog or the Looser cos weve all been there.

Americans worry bout the future. English worry bout the past......

Ther was a moments hush. Then the crowd started chanting
