Hey Joe,
I was so looking forward to taking my 15 year old son Jim to see your show in Denver that I bought the $250 premium package seating. He and I are both avid fans and thanks to you after seeing the G3 Show in Chicago the last time around, he grabbed a guitar and bass guitar and hasn't stopped playing since.
Unfortunately, I just went to the Ogden Theater's website and they are stating that it is a 21 and over only show. IS THIS TRUE!?
If at all possible, can you somehow get this changed? You are doing a disservice to all the up and coming guitar players who envy not only you, but Eric, Steve, Yngwie and others.
Thanks for listening,
John Baldyga

Rob, and anyone else who wants to buy Platinum tix....
When you click on the link on the ROAD section of this site for tickets, it takes you directly to the ticket vendor. BUT you have to scroll sideways, to the right....use the bottom scroll bar and you'll see links that say BUY for each of the shows that he has these special packages for. The Boca show is there, I just checked and could have bought tix in row 2!!!!
Hurry, HURRY!!! Lol........

tuvster, the idea is to let the side of your thumb veeerrryyy lightly brush the string as it follows the pick. I let my first finger brush it as well, so the fingernail leads, the pick follows, then the thumb follows that. It means holding the pick extremely close to it's tip and it winds up with you almost pinching the string, hence the name.
You just need to spend ages practicing it and trying to get the harmonic out......they'll get clearer and clearer and then you'll be able to do it all the time (if you want to!).
ovation1, :-( That is sad news, I really like Matt, he's a cool player and top guy. Dave LaRue is ace, but I agree, it'll be interesting to see whether or not he can fill the bassist role for both Joe and Inspector Morse!
Maybe Joe should give Pat Badger a call, last thing I heard all he was doing was running an Ostrich Farm! haha

Okay... I've seen a million (well, not really...) posts from people asking about tour dates. What's posted on the site obviously isn't the complete schedule. There are only about 12 dates listed, and Joe played about 30 North America shows on the ITLIS? tour. He's also obviously not going to have a tour where he leaves out the west coast. It might be on a separate leg like it was last time around, but we'll still get some shows out here... Everyone needs to just hold tight and wait for more announcements. ;-)
Dahlstrom - Joe will occasionally use different guitars in the studio...
chicagoatc - Joe doesn't like shows with age limits either, but sometimes it's the promoter's call and it's just out of Joe's control (meaning his choices are "no gig" or "21+ gig").

DO THE STU- Ok, I know you were only talking about the USA gigs...but over here in England we don't often get to see Joe... so would hate to miss the chance, so am keen to know when the dates will be. People are bound to be excited about it- remember you've met Joe, many of us out here haven't, or are ever likely to...?

Hey guys, i'm new, but dinners ready, haha, so i'll check y'all later.
Hey Joe, I was just wondering if there's going to be a G3 tour in the U.S. in 2007 'cause that's when I graduate from High School and my parents say that my graduation gift can be to fly anywhere (in the U.S.) and see whoever I want in concert (I guess all the loud music I play actually payed off, 'cause they know how much I love music!). And if I could see any concert, it'd be a G3 with you, Steve, and someone else!
By the way, Keniko, I checked out your son's art. It's amazing! He's extremely talented!

why are the prices of Joe Satriani gear going up? I just had a look on www.music123.com and had a look at the price of a JS1000 and the retail price has gone up so has the retail prices for his new JSX amp. When the amp won the NAMM award and became more popular the price went up. Joe your obviously benifiting from these products but if your signature gear goes up it means people like me just can afford to buy it. Why suddenly when you get your signature guitar amps, straps, picks and everything else prices go up. It sucks man! You gotta draw a line somewhere. You should re negiotiate how much they can sell your stuff for sure you get it probablly free but we're all musicians together. I saw you play live in Brisbane, Australia you were awesome you played hard and really well. I want to get a new JSX amp and a JS1000 to get your lead tone but I just cant afford it now its getting ridiculous

Looking for some advice, I'm hoping the T2J girls can help me out with this... Few weeks back I was talking with the girl I like, and somehow we were talking about NY (she said she hasn't been there), I told her I'd be going in a few weeks (happen to be going later this week) and asked her if she wanted to go. So, pretty much looking for good advice on making it a great day. I'm already pretty good friends with her, so I'm not starting from scratch here. Any ideas on good places to go to in NY or stuff to do? Oh, and anyone know where I can find a good music store(s)? (guitars, amps...and CD's and DVD's.) That's one thing I can do, she hasn't heard me play guitar yet, I usually gather up a little audience when I play in music stores (I don't go there trying to do that, I'm usually there to test out gear and when I look up I have some people just standing around me, which makes me feel good, lets me know all my practicing pays off.) I'm hoping I can find some other line of amps to test out (other than Peavey, Marshall, Mesa, and Fender... I like Peavey's a lot, but I really would like to try Laney.) So, anybody....help would be very appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Stevee T Thanks for the help. I have a few amps I'd really like to try out, Peavey 5150 or 6505, any Laney amps, and a few others. I got lucky looking for Guitar Center one time (not in NY), I was driving around trying to find Guitar Center, I found one but it wasn't the one I was looking for (the one I was looking for and at before is HUGE). Wasn't a problem though, right across the parking lot was a Sam Ash! Prices were great in both stores, due to them having to compete (they aren't even across the street, down the street from one another, but across the parking lot!)
-Paul Gilbert is killing me!!!! I'm working on too many songs at once, but Gilbert, what do i need to say. There's so much going on in BRO, I've got about 40 seconds of the song down, but with the counter guitar in the mix makes it 10 times harder! I thought I'd be having more trouble with Scarified than BRO!
axeshredderjc Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for those places, I'll probably be there for pretty much the entire day, we'll have time to check out a ton of stuff. And yes...I'm prepared for a whole lotta walking.

With all your references to stars, planets, moons, aliens, and other space related stuff, are you a star gazer? Do you contemplate the deep questions of our Universe? What are your thoughts on the Big bang? Have you ever read Stephen Hawkings "A brief History of Time"? I have a host of questions, but the subject is too deep for quick answers. Just wanted to know if you grapple with these thoughts. Thanks. Bob Ellis.......Major fan of your work.

Ovation: Mikeysan, that was so beautiful....seeing SRV & Albert King! I've never seen them together before. There were some other very kuul gems on that link. Where do you find these treasures?!! I'm so amazed
Cheese101: How's it going Traci? What's the word on the job situation? I haven't talked to you in a while....I hope you are doing well sweetie.
Michelle: Thanks for the email, got it! Yes, I was listening to YJM"s "Attack" CD....totally rockin in Toshi ! LOL It was snurring here earlier...the sun was out and it was snowing like a blizzard, the wind was so bad! I don't like this cold weather at all! Will this be your 1st trip to see M-I-C-K-E-Y? How long you going for? FLorida right, not Cali.
SteveeT: Yes, where is Stacey aka Tastey?! Yoohoo! hello Stacey! I think you mentioned her recently.....I got a round trip, non-stop to Ft Lauderdale for 218 will all the taxes on AirTrans. I'm flying out fri and returning Monday so what days you fly and where you fly out from make a difference. I didn't look around because for my sister's wedding in FLa they had the cheapest NON-STOP flights.
I'm not going to spend hours in the airport to save a few bucks....it's just not worth my time.
I've spent many, many hours in airports. "No more, no more"... No connecting flights for me.

Suzie2000: Why thank you sweetie! ;-)) Cheers *raises glass of Cabernet*
Rob310: I got my 1st row ticket Thursday night from here.........where it says "click here" it takes you through similar to TM with typing in the funky word etc....I checked it again today, it works fine. I hope you make out well. See you at the show!!
Alexandre: Wow! Thanks Alex for posting the Blister video clip, I will check it out. I can't wait!! Kisses dear friend! ;-)) ~Sea Eyes~~
