OCPS470, Big Baby sounds nice, especially the small body-size. "It also had zero in the way of fancy apointments, so all of the build cost goes to materials"......this is pretty much the impression I get from Turners too.....hanging on a wall next to the Yamahas and Takamines they don't look particularly fancy at all, but you can hear and feel the difference when you play them.

DCK, do they (214 and 210) have anything in the way of preamps? A preamped pickup is a requirement for me!
Delfino, wicked man, drumming is ace. It'd be sure to help you with your guitar playing.....as an example, just look what it did to Nuno Bettencourt!
Ethn Hyabusa, I've never seen Tacoma guitars here.....where are they from?
OllyNo1, yeah the Marshall Powerbreak and THD Hotplate do the same thing. The Marshall is swithcable for different impedences, while the Hotplate isn't so you have to get one that matches the impedence of your amp.

But, the Hotplate has a nice line out and is just plain superb really. I checked out a few reviews and many people seemed to be recommending it over the powerbreak.....I personally haven't tried the Marshall unit, but I love the THD, it's superb.

Paul Gilbert, oh man that was amazing! Definitely the best 10 quid I've spent, and easily on a par with the best shows I've been to. I was absolutely flawed by his playing considering the pure, simple setup. And even when he played through that 15 watt valve practice amp.....jeeeesus. Yeah, that was a good evening!

962 - Cool, I'mm looking around on ebay etc for one! How can I tell what impedance I would need?

Yer Paul gilbert! I still have shudders down my spine when I think obout that! How amazing to sound like that with just a stock amp pretty much off the shelf! I bought the little laney based on that performance! For a 15W amp though its one loud little amp!

Joe

You remember me don't you? Hong Kong 2002, after show...the little scottish guy who told you he has seen you at Barrowlands Glasgow in 1990. Gave you a cap with a chinese star on it. Clips from the new cd suggest a superb disc coming to us all. It's amazing how you keep making such great music, consistently time after time. Here are my ten words for you...............Hope you will play in Hong Kong this year Joe?

When your new DVD arrives, let us know if it is worth getting. I noticed it is only 36 minutes long - and $18 bucks.

Paying 50 cents for every minute? Plus shipping.

If it is great - I will do it. If it is just ok - maybe not.

It is not what you think

Two women were playing golf when one teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole.

The ball hit one of the men and he immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony.

The woman rushed down to the man, and immediately began to apologize "Please allow me to help. I'm a physical therapist and I know I could relieve your pain if you'd allow me," she told him.

"Oh, no, I'll be fine in a few minutes," the man replied.

He was in obvious agony, lying in the fetal position, still clasping his hands together at his groin. At her persistence, however, he finally allowed her to help.

She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, loosened his pants and put her hands inside. She administered tender and artful massage for several long moments and asked, "How does that feel?"

He replied, "It feels great but my thumb still hurts like hell."

The Who

A new Who CD will be issued in June, guitarist-songwriter Pete Townshend reveals in an online post, although he gives no details about what will be on the disc. He also says the band plans to release live DVDs of all its upcoming European concerts. In addition, Townshend is working on a project called "The Method" that will feature computer-generated music incorporating input from online readers of his novella The Boy Who Heard Music

Mari - Was very nice to say hello to you last night too and we will look forward to seeing you in April at Joe's concert. Shame you aren't Dream Theatering it - but can't go to them all I suppose. Enjoy Joe's other shows.

JOE - Really like the feel of this album. Its not a step back, but it reminds me of some earlier stuff - certainly more of a groove to it that SBM I think. I really like it. Look forward to seeing you for the umpteenth time in April.

Slanshroom - If I can get a seat on the Barcelona plane - we'll be there March 11 weekend. Its standby and last minute but I'll keep in touch. If not that weekend, another. We can record something fun.

Hello Satchland! Good morning all.

Cuthbert1776: Hello to you, good to see people still supporting this site. Well how could you not, right?

My computer is busted and I haven't been able to check out any of the samples of the new album. What would you all say is the theme to this one? I loved ITLIS that was an instant classic.

Joe is so cool. I love the way he is all rocked and blused out, then all of the sudden, he throws those modes in there to make it sound all spacey.

There has never been an album I didn't like. O.k almost a lie, I didn't like EOC when it first came out. Now its my favorite.

Keep 'em comin' Joe!

Whoa I just looked at tick prices for the chicago ahow and they're like 47 dollars. Damn. I remember the EWJS tour being cheaper. Maybe it has to be that much to pay EJ.

You know I like EJ but it's not all that serious. I can get my fill by popping in the g3 vhs tape from back them days.

I like the way EWJS tour was all Joe. He came on the stage and owned it 'til he left. For three days straight he laid it down, just in case someone didn't understand the definition of musician.

I hope that EJ dosn't take too much away from Joe's shine.

Many many MANY good thoughts, vibes and prayers going out to Wanda and Ken this morning........we luv u!!!

And, here's an email message from the producer of Take Note (I posted about this last night, but they've changed the discount code):

Hi Cheese101, It was fun chatting with you last night. I hope you enjoy the episode of Take Note with Joe. By the way that was taped in Portland in 2005. If you'd like to spread the word, I have a discount code for the DVD that actually works now. this code: Y76GNKSN will give a $2 discount. I should have the Steve Vai episode up before long. Joe visits on that episode too and provides a little insight into Steve. Have a nice day, Sherrie

So that's really cool! I wonder if that was the April show we went to....prolly....
