This is a true account recorded in the Police Log - Sarasota, Florida.
An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!" The four men didn't wait for a second invitation. They got out and ran like mad.
The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why. For the same reason she did not understand why, there was a football, a frisbee and two 12 packs in the front seat. A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.
She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake. The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair and carrying a large handgun.
No charges were filed.
MORAL OF THE STORY?
If you're going to have a Senior Moment, make it memorable!

OllyNo1, I think you'll be ok with that, if the JCM900 is switchable to 16ohms. The only problem could be the 8ohm cab?
OCPS470, cool, thanks for the insight on the Marshall Powerbreak fault....I see that as good a reason as any for the Hotplate to be the preference! I gotta say, it's brilliantly built, I love THD's engineering....their amps are built really nicely too.
slanshroom, the tone-loss you mentioned with 95% volume reduction on a power attenuator.....I have to say dude, the tone retention with the Hotplate is superb. Even with the volume bled almost completely off it sounds great, and as you turn it up to a normal practice level (ie solo practice, not full-band rehearsal) all the tone comes back. I'm personally really happy with the Hotplate, it's great!
Cornford amps are nice, they've really grown on me. What set of tones are you on a quest for? Do consider that the more obscure and rare you go with amp manufacturers, the more trouble you'll have getting repairs and retubes and general maintainence done.
ovation1, You need to be looking out for Laney LC15 and LC15R. I tried to copy the text from this link but it's not copyable! haha, how stupid is that?!
The S470 Neck saga comes to a happy end:
So originally I took my new Ibanez S470 back to the shop cuz it's neck was buzzing. They sent it back to Headstock to get it's neck replaced under warranty. Headstock sent it back having done nothing to it, so the shop sent it back again a few weeks ago and asked Headtsock to replace it with a whole new guitar.
The replacement S470 arrived back at the shop yesterday and I asked if they'd keep it in part-exchange for something better. They sorted me out and I ended up buying a brand-spanking-new SA2120......it is SO fine. Set-in neck, 2 humbuckers, mahogany body, 22-fret rosewood fretboard, it has so much character! I'm loving it, and it is so much more worth having than the S470.
I'll take pictures some time soon (maybe when I've given it new pickups) so you can all look if you give two shits! haha

Good Morning Satchland.......God Bless Ken And Wanda
Fireman...... I'm happy for you both. Sounds real encouraging. Get Well Soon Wanda. Peace and Hugs
SteveeT..... Thanks. You the man. Whatcha got brewin' in your music kitchen?
Cuth..... Thanks. We beleive in Chiropractic medicine and we both see one on a regular basis. What happened to Cindy is see lost what they call "The Curve Of Live" in her neck. There should be a 30 degree arc in your neck to keep all of your nerves in this area open to act properly. An X-Ray showed her neck straighten out to a 10 degree arc. 21 degrees is exceptable. So she's on a 90 day recovery plan to get the proper arc back. In this area of your spine the nerves control taste, facial expression, ability to handle stress, sinuses, eyes ,etc. If you can remember back when Cindy had similiar problems ( 8 months ago) Doctors couldn't figuire what was wrong. We went back to the Chiropractor( we stopped seeing him due to affordability) and Cindy's scan showed most of her neck was out of alignment. After only three weeks of the doc adjusting her she started feeling normal again and was doing great untill this happened. The cause this time was laying down on the couch in the wrong position. Go figuire. An Expensive lesson. Thanks.
gottahavejoe....Good luck sweetie. Hugs
Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

Hello all...
Long time no post...
Now that I'm happily married (bring back the single days!!) with a mortgage and a dog (woof!), I need a bit of cash to plow into the house so I've bitten the bullett and decided to sell my prize collection of ChromeBoy and Crystal Planet!! I figure this is the best place to start looking for prospective buyers so if anyone's ineterested in the UK, they can reach me on 0 7 7 6 6 9 1 1 5 5 7.It's a sale that's gonna break my heart but needs must. I've paid £6,000 for the pair and obviously don't wish to make a loss - both guitars are in considerably better conditional than when purchased - the Crystal Planet is in factory mint conditio.
I await hearing from anyone that wants to help pay my mortgage off quickly!!
Rock on guys!!
Rob
