Hi everybody!
Sorry for my "invisibility" of the last days...I've been busy and doing some lurking in the shadows ;-)
I've just seen the new appearance of www.foreverjoe.com
I love it.
I've watched the webcast today. It's wonderful. I was also expecting to see at least one of the new songs but Joe wants to keep the surprise till the end. Anyway, Joe plays a good selection of his greatest songs, that way it's cool too.
And "Super Colossal" and "Just Like Lightning" clips sound wonderfully well. I love the sound and the production. It sounds very powerful.
I'm really excited about the tour dates as well. Looking forward to seeing some European dates!
gotta have Joe, about the webcast, I only could listen to it too, you need to set up the Quicktime 7 so that you can watch it. There's a direct link below the page. And cheer up :)
Satriella, hi, thanks for the mail and the photobucket link! You draw marvellously. It has been a real pleasure to see your
drawings. The portraits of Paul Newman and Samuel L. Jackson are specially brilliant. Keep them coming :)
marimariSRV, hi Mari, how are you? Drop me an e-mail as soon as you can...I'm not sure of how many things you want from the list. I was wondering while reading your posts, what is EWJS? now I got it ;-)
bahduh, hi, I can't wait to see Barca-Chelsea and Real Madrid-Arsenal too, you have mail, take care!
Bye :)

ovation1, "How bout' I get IBY to make you an ostrich bass, and the rest is history".....hahaha, that is too funny bro. Do you reckon he'd ask 'em to cover it with real ostrich feathers? I dunno maybe not, that's probably a travesty as far as Pat's concerned! heehee
OCPS470, yeah I agree on the colours thing, and on everything you mentioned about use of different scales in the same key to give a different flavour.
Oh and on the use of Locrian too! haha, I only really use it as a mode of another scale, it's a bit too f*ck*d up to be used regularly on it's own.....well, for me it is.
climer, you're welcome, happy 400, and hey that's cool that your "fingers just go to the right notes without me to think about it"....it's very satisfying when you find yourself doing that consistently.
The only way is up! And yeah, the more you know the more options you'll have available to you, but do take your time otherwise you might get yourself frustrated! Enjoy!
Satriella, you drew Samuel L Jackson! YESSSS, he is one of my most favourite dudes ever! And I gotta say, this is a great drawing, he has, indeed, come out really well!

Suzie2000 - "People are bound to be excited about [tour dates]"
Excitement is fine...but some people are posting messages that make it seem like these dozen shows are the only gigs Joe is going to play all year. I'm just trying to point out that that isn't the case...
Guitarmiester - I've been busy planning my New York trip for the Dream Theater gig, so I can suggest a few things...
As Stevee T said, a bunch of cool music stuff seems to be on 48th street. Go there, but not with the intention of showing off for her in front of everyone else in one of the stores... Come on, man, you can think of something better than that. ;-)
There's a lot of cool stuff in/around Central Park...maybe the two of you could take a walk through there and just do whatever?
marimariSRV - "JOe and EJ touring together! 2 headliners.....JOe called it a G-2"
Do you remember if Joe said anything about how the time would be divided up? Maybe 60 minutes for EJ and 90 for Joe? Or...?
Satriella - No, this theater doesn't do the Kit-Kat thing...but there were a lot of unique little jokes here. I would imagine the thing changes/grows each week, based on what people say each time the movie plays. It's really cool...I'll definitely go again sometime soon.
...Austin...

Do The Stu Thanks for the help... I didn't really mean I'd go in to purposely 'show off', but that's just what it seems like most of the time I when play anyway, lol. I practice, play, and push myself to figuring new stuff out everyday, if I don't I feel like I'm not progressing on guitar, and I don't like that...Sort of like something Yngwie said, I like to be able to play and be able to impress myself. I'm not an easy one to impress, so I get pretty mad at my own playing if I'm not at a certain level...kinda wierd, but adds to the motivation and dedication to get better and better.
Suzie2000 Almost done with the recording, just waiting on drums and vocals to be added, hopefully that'll be done tomorrow. Once it's all done I'll let everyone know.
Ovation1 The Spaceship One DVD isn't in front of an audience? The video I saw for Scarified was in a studio. It could be from the Spaceship One DVD, I'm not sure, I don't have it yet. That DVD is on my list along with a few other live DVD's.
-Listening to some Vai (like usual), his anthology... Until today, I never really listened to 'Salamanders in the Sun', what an awesome song! Listening to Fire Garden Suite right now, what a song!
